Jim had excused Flair’s behavior on the plane ride from hell. No one has to be subjected to this at a job. He was the boss and this not appropriate behavior. Jim is really out of touch here.
This guy went over the line but there is a generational difference. If you say "You look pretty today" to a 40yr+ old female co-worker, you'll probably get a "Thank you". Say the same thing to a 25yr old female co-worker and you might end up in the HR's office.
He isn't going anywhere. They will just remove his name from the credits for a bit. Dana White got caught slapping his wife on camera he didn't lose his job. Ari Emmanuel isn't letting Fitting go for inappropriate workplace jokes.
If there's is no talent and employee from WWE complaining about Lee behaviour, he aren't getting fired. Reason why Vince got ousted is because the victim spoke out publicly and sue WWE and Vince
I disagree with Jim's general take here, however, I do agree that some element of degree needs to be seen. When you blow something like this into being something way bigger than it is, it hurts the credibility of the actual for real bad shit. From what ive seen Lee Fitting's behavior would warrant a superior to give a "knock it off" dressing down but not to the degree of people calling him a predator. It makes all the other real important allegations on other people look phoney.
I feel like if TKO wasn't still under the microscope thanks to Vince's activities this might not be as big as it was. That said, if this guy was warned about his behavior and failed to stop he deserved to be fired. If he wasn't, then whoever was above him needs to be fired.
"Above him" which is Nick Khan and Triple H which both aren't getting fired because they hired a guy that made inappropriate comment to women when he was in ESPN. Come on now

@125henni I think he’s just trying to be the voice of reason. Society’s become over sensitive about everything. If words hurt your feelings, that should be on you.

Nobody should be surprised that someone like Cornette, who's never had a real job in his life, doesn't see the issue with sexual harrassment in a workplace.
Cornette is way off on this one. Asking a female employee to sit on your lap and texting another employee to tell her she looked hot? Straight up harassment.
It is weird that people do not believe that WWE knew about his reputation before hiring him. You just add some clauses to his contract that if he crosses any lines, he forfeits a ton of cash, and they still get the W since the guy can produce a show. They had all the leverage when hiring him if they knew about his past at ESPN. Risk vs reward for the WWE
No i love a guy defending his friend and more importantly defending free speech and defending the right to joke. I hope he doesn't sit stuff like this out. In my opinion, this world right now badly needs more people like him saying their opinion too
@zhougongjin2704 it's not about free speech. This isn't a guy hitting up a woman in a bar. It's a person in a position of power propositioning his underlings. It's unethical at best, illegal at worst.
@@danehockam-dunn8193 All men who pursue women are propositioning their underlings. There's always a power dynamic skewed towards the man. We're stronger, more logical, and more capable in every way.
WWE should get rid of Lee Fitting as "Executive Producer". Lee Fitting's name is shown after every show in the credits. He was fired from ESPN for misconduct. Lee Fitting as "Executive Producer" is not a good look for WWE's "Netflix Era".
People are way too damn sensitive these days. Next step, no eye contact or direct communication with anyone for fear of offense. The guy is a douche. He’s inappropriate for modern times. Move on. If we fire everyone who was inappropriate ever, no one will be employable. We’ve all said and done things that weren’t too clever. Move on.
The problem with the Lee Fitting allegations is some of it sounds like a producer doing their job. Telling talent how he wants them to dress or present themselves on television, saying he wants attractive women shot in the crowd. No one wants to see the sloppy 45 year old guy who still thinks he's living on campus. Now, how female talent are communicated to about their appearance for being on screen is what consitutes whether or not it's a problem. The comments about what he and his wife do in their sex life, the asking female talent if they want to share his hotel room, offering his lap as a seat because there's no chairs all of that is completely unacceptable if you're the boss.
All that stuff will get you fired in 95 percent of workplaces these days. Fine to say around your boys drinking beers not around women at work. World's different these days.
Sure no one is saying Fitting is on Vince’s level but “bad jokes” don’t happen in a vacuum. Neither do what Jim might consider “real” incidents of harassment. That people in power regularly do horrible things to women is precisely why what might seem to Jim like a dumb joke, might also make the women it’s being said to fearful. Her hands shook because she knows where this often leads. Also fuck this guy. Those are idiotic and unnecessary things to say. Jim is always talking about professionalism or lack thereof in modern wrestling. How much more unprofessional can you be than offering your lap to a coworker/underling for a seat? Or talking loudly about getting blown at work?
If anyone is wondering how real this could potentially mean, remember Katie Strang is the Investigative reporter who broke the 2017 Hockey Canada Scandal, the Arizona Coyotes Expose and was a Major contributor on the Kyle Beech incident and Cover up by the Blackhawks. @zhougongjin2704 just because someone thinks it's a joke, doesn't mean it is. I don't listen to comedians and like every joke.... And I wouldn't listen to my boss and think they were joking. Just because you accept it, doesn't make it right
@jeffgwyn1510 what matters is how FITTING meant it, and he clearly meant it as a joke. And about the last thing u said, i never made a claim about what is and isn't right. I was asking u what kind of jokes u think aren't ok
@zhougongjin2704 when people in power/authority make a "joke" how are people supposed to respond? It's the boss. People need to stop letting things slide. The same people in power will spew the "we must be professional" line when they don't agree.

This guy had the equivalent of 10,000 speeding tickets. ESPN figured, or figures, that it was just a matter of time before something truly terrible happened.
You are just choosing to make it weird. What he said can clearly be taken in multiple ways. The fact that you're acting like that's not the case, and are saying he's definitely a little perverted (which is a huge accusation), is scary. And also that you're attacking people who are choosing not to make it weird, like Jim. You remind me of the witch hunters..
@TheREALPeytonAndrews ok, but you still thinking that he's Definitely a little perverted based off that is crazy. You should only make big accusations like that if you have proof. Or you should say "maybe" he's a little perverted. At most
Yeah Jim is completely in the wrong here. I'm thinking the shit people said about him and Stacey back in the day probably wasn't 100 percent wrong. Not totally true but I bet he did shit that would be seen as fucked up today.
I don’t know when his most recent incident was or if anything became physical but all this stuff is very unprofessional. I’m not saying the guy should lose his job but optically this isn’t good. Especially considering how much the company has tried to distance itself from Vince
The first thing when it comes to verbal sexual harassment is always: What is the intent of the words. If it's something that's blatantly graphic, then it's hard to defend the intent. I agree that the sit on my lap comment wasn't good. But did Fitting mean it? Who knows. The other stuff doesn't seem to be horrible. But the world is changing and anything can be interpreted as harassment. I'm sure he did think the co-worker is hot, but does that constitute her to be get upset? Is there more to the story? We all have definitions of what is acceptable and what isn't. On the other side of the coin, look at Trevor Bauer. His career has completely come to a hault due to allegations that ended up being false.
It doesn't matter if someone felt like they had to do something sexual or they did something sexual, the fact that he was their boss add making these comments is what is wrong and the fact that he was the Boss shows a power dynamic that is not completely Fair.
Man, Jim really doesn't get the dynamic between boss and employee and how it can be abusive. These kinds of comments are simply not acceptable and wholly unprofessional. Jim really should try to understand that. "There's no false imprisonment." The prison is your job. People need money to live, Jim, and women are concerned they can't talk back over sexist comments because they don't want to get fired. He doesn't have to be doing anything illegal. What he's doing is unprofessional, and that's enough.
I suspect the lawyer is right about the non disclosure agreements, even if this particular man is small potatoes. Still, the only reason NDA's backfired on WWE is because Vinny Junior decided not to pay one, or maybe even just forgot, he had so many. Clearly something corrupt was going on, we should really be told why the PUBLICLY traded company thought over twelve million dollars was worth spending to cover it up and fix the problem but it's baffling they could even do the coverup right.
One of those moments where the fact that he spent his life working in the wrestling business is completely obvious. A lot of women and men find this kind of stuff uncomfortable and rude at best, and it would be many times worse if the boss is the one doing it. I would find it distracting at work even if it was meant harmlessly, and having worked in a field where women face considerable difficulty being taken seriously by the male employees (computer science) this is one of his truly bad takes. I don't agree with it at all. (Not calling for his head though. In this kind of thing he is basically the 'out of touch grandparent' who definitely has not adjusted to the times).
@@yoholmes273 I am very tolerant of this type of humor in general. it makes it worse if he is the boss, you have MORE of an obligation to behave professionally, not LESS 🤦♂️
I wonder if the guys saying Lee did nothing wrong would keep that energy if he treated their daughter like that.
Times change people change and you can’t be certain whether certain comments will make people uncomfortable or not, so when it’s in a workplace setting it’s probably better to be safe than sorry.
Or maybe people need to get over it and be less SAWFT.
Telling a female coworker to sit on your lap during a meeting is unacceptable, Jim. Especially if you’re running the operation..There’s no argument to be had here, man.
What’s she look like, picture?
It's a joke. People just look for scapegoats so they can externalize their misery and deflect blame from themselves.
@@Chickenwings378 No, it's not a joke and it's not the fault of the person who was harassed. Thatt's the difference between an adult working for a real company and someone hiding behind a ridiculous screen name online.

Basically keep it professional at work. Dont even try to make any kind of joke that may be considered in bad taste or offensive to people. You may think its all fun and games, while other people might it offensive. That means no lap sitting or comments about their outfit or bodies. Outside with your friends, joke all you want.
Jokes are never "inappropriate". They're just jokes..
But yeah, Ari is cool. Fitting will be back, just like Vince if Vince beats the case
If there's is no talent and employee from WWE complaining about Lee behaviour, he aren't getting fired. Reason why Vince got ousted is because the victim spoke out publicly and sue WWE and Vince
Appalling take on this one Jim. Asking your female employee to sit on your lap isn’t banter, it’s fucking creepy
I wonder if Jim would be ok if Stacy had a boss that said such things to her.

It is weird that people do not believe that WWE knew about his reputation before hiring him. If we fire everyone who was inappropriate ever, no one will be employable. We’ve all said and done things that weren’t too clever. Move on.
Jim would be in HR all the time
Once, or twice, then he’s be out on the streets.

His career has completely come to a hault due to allegations that ended up being false.
