2012 was one of the worst years for Indian cricket with all the legends of 2000s either retiring or well past their prime. Lost 4-0 in Australia, couldn't qualify for CB Series final or Asia cup final, didn't qualify for T20 Wc semis, lost 1-2 in a home test series against Eng and lost 1-2 in a home ODI series against Pak. The only shining light was the emergence of Kohli who played some remarkable knocks and announced himself.

In Previous yr only they won wc and these Players never thought that they will make a way from the team in the next year itself especially Gauti. Sehwag was under scrutiny atleast.
