I heard this, tune by way of Sublime and at that point had only heard the smoother more pop oriented Bad Religion. I was blown away when I finally heard this original. Bad Religion should’ve stuck with hardcore
Relax. I don't see anyone here who's saying otherwise. Not knowing that a song is a cover is common (*cough* The Man Who Sold the World) but doesn't mean you fail as a fan.
40 years after they released this song, millions of people are dying from a preventable pandemic because capitalism couldn't stand to slow down for a few months and people have convinced themselves that they know better than people who study diseases, and we're going on our 3rd year of said pandemic.
God damnit, you're exactly the type of people this song is against. You anti-capitalist socialists are destroying the world. That's not anything to do with the pandemic.
@JZickler1 I didn't even know sublime had covered this song. I will go and listen to it now, but as it is one of my favorite Bad Religion songs it will be weird....even more weird is that people think that sublime wrote it! ha
I don't think that most people know the significance of this band, this song and this moment, they set a precedence that has yet to be surpassed. IDC if you like the new records or not, just think they have done it again and again. Whether you think because the newer records aren't as good because they're a cleaner sound. Either way buy the records, support this band.
i was just thinking that why do punk gigs today have stageguards??? cuz in this video there isnt??? so arent ppl allowed to have fun in gigs anymore?? someone answer me
Don't mean to force my opinion on you, but listen to some actual good rap before you dismiss it as crap. I'm sure you've only heard the popular shit like soulja boi who sucks, it's like saying punk sucks because you don't like blink. Public enemy, Busdriver, many older/underground rappers are awesome. The rad thread in the ultimate guitar forums has quite an impressive amount of good stuff.
You had to be in shape to play this shit. Check out punk drummers; theyre either really skinny or sort-of muscular. Try playing this beat for a whole show and see how worn out you get. Stamina was the key, my friend. Bonham got fat because he played laid back grooves and drank a lot, punk drummers drink a lot and play fast.... burning calories the whole time.
think about it. their both mostly anti christian and their very legendary in rock n roll history and bad religion started ten years after black sabbath
Not bad, I suppose. I do wish I could see BR footage from 1982, though. This is, what, 1989? Before punk became big -- yet it's still missing that special something, the wildness and devil may care attitude there was in the early 1980s. Jesus Christ, how many fucking guitarists did they have then? Nice wardrobe, Greg. Glad to see you learned how to change your shirt in grad school.
patbrown911 - Why removed "the voice of god is government" BR song? That was the best song in Along the way DVD. Im seeing 2-3/days.:_( Please send me The voice of god is government video (sorry i cant speak english)
I'm a HUGE Bad Religion fan and I think you might be right as far as this recording goes, but Sublime didn't rock as hard as Bad Religion on the studio cut.
one of the best punk songs of all time
i've been to hundreds of shows, and seeing this song live is definitely top 5 best songs to ever see live. Bro Hymn is one of them too
The best .
Not!!
Punk rock in its purest form.
and of the best guitar songs to play
the best band ever. i mean fucking ever. as in fucking ever ! like as in fucking ever.
I heard this, tune by way of Sublime and at that point had only heard the smoother more pop oriented Bad Religion. I was blown away when I finally heard this original. Bad Religion should’ve stuck with hardcore
They go double time.
And then they double it
Greg has so much Biafra in him..its wonderful!
bad religion was so good in the times! nowadays they just sucks :/
Not just the best from the 80´s but also the best of a whole century of punk rock
I got into Sublime because of this song when I was 16.. took me till 23 to find out it was a cover. Love it.
When I think of punk, this is the song that I think of. ❤️
One of their all-time best songs!!
they're quite young here, I saw them in Holland last year, and they looked way older, they still rock tho...
Sublime brought me here ❣️
The talent never die
The talent to change your shirt in a split second

Biohazard covered Bad Religion. Both versions are pretty cool though.
@JZickler1 I didn't even know sublime had covered this song. I will go and listen to it now, but as it is one of my favorite Bad Religion songs it will be weird....even more weird is that people think that sublime wrote it! ha

Favorite song by them!
This song came out in tony hawks american wasteland
Is people responding or commenting here must be like teenagers and have no idea what punk rock really was
favorite song by them oh my god
the video is cutted of many live shows during theyre germany tour.. that's why they change the t shirts ;)
i wouldnt wear one shirt for one tour ;)
Agreed, & his name is Greg Hetson
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
now thats a punk show. fucking awesome!!!
This song must be the reason why California now has a moratorium on the death penalty.
Going to see them tomorrow night, but sadly they won't be playing this song.
Curious about the inspiration for this song? Check out our profile of Greg Graffin the scientist! www.asbmb.org/asbmbtoday/201409/Features/Graffin/
Thank you guys!!!!
Puta que es buena esta banda lml
i was just thinking that why do punk gigs today have stageguards??? cuz in this video there isnt??? so arent ppl allowed to have fun in gigs anymore?? someone answer me
But both the original and sublime cover are awesome!
He was also the guitar player in Red Cross...before the Jerks.
indeed
Greg must cry watching himself perform...with hair.
Hetson and that fucking mullet...
omg corey taylor
This is one of my favourite songs by them.

a todos nos llegara el momento de quedarnos sin pelos ni carne, mientras tanto disfruten la vida
The kind of band that you prefer listening to live performances than the album version ;D
think about it. their both mostly anti christian and their very legendary in rock n roll history and bad religion started ten years after black sabbath
haha good call, it's really annoying when people do that. Especially the ones with no basis for what they are saying whatsoever
anyone who hasn't should pick up the 80-85 compilation cd
unless you still have all the originals on vinyl or something, then you can skip it
There not anti-christian...one of the member is a deist they use Religion in alotta of the songs but there anti god...
@Albido100 Sublime is one of my favorite bands, but I gotta say this is better... way better.
crazy taxi :)
we´re only gonna dye all of his white shirts!!
Wow, dude can change shirts hella quick
early man walked away as spiderman took controoool! fuck i love badger legion...
He can change his his shirt in 000.000.001 seconds
Punk had more influence than metal. All modern Rock Came from Blues.
I wouldn't say Bad Religion is better than Sublime, but this version kicks the Sublime ones ass. Thats just my opinion though.
Drums kick ass on this live version. Check out the book, "Witness in West Virginia", by Thomas C. Stuhr.
What this book is about ? Any relation with the song or the drums ? Tell us more, man.
I wanna know who does Greg Graffin's choreography
alcohol
ed wood
Punk rock bad religion, alternativo skate board 1996.
Getting huge fan of evolutionary biology, i guess: :-)
For its time genius
They put this on a face mask almost 2 years ago.
This song was prophetic, 40 years ago.
No Sublime didn't write this song children.
possibly one of there best songs!!
still the best and only version of this song...not taking away from the other bands that paid tribute
greg hetson had hair
There so punk that they change shirts!!
Najanu, wollte auch gar nicht so schlaumeierisch klingen wie das jetzt bestimmt rüberkam. Sorry.
i love this song but he looks drunk
This is a fucking Anthem !
That dude is a good drummer, but he needs to put a shirt on
lol white black then white again.
I like the sublime cover of this song as well. good post
oi oi oi!
Yeah, I totally agree. They're both incredibly good bands, you can't compare em.
THIS. IS. BAD RELIGION.

Fucking amazing band...then, now and always!
Ate too many Jalapeno peppers!! My ass hole is gonna die from my own arrogance.
