    i have been playing with this paint for awhile, but was unaware that it needed ironing to fix the paint. that explains why they were fading. i won't make that mistake again. thanks for your video.

    @Ceares- The piece needs to sit in the sun, or under a lamp, for 15 - 60 minutes for image to print. (Lift the corner of your stencil/object to check progress.)
    Remove from the light source one the desired effect is reached and "set" by ironing for 2-3 minutes.

    Yes - placing the painted fabric under a lamp will also work.

    how long does it have to stay under the heat source or is 'till dry' adequate?

    What kind of other light source can you use instead of the sun. During winter, its a bit hard to set things outside with the snow and all. Thanks!

    can you also use the opaque paint for the "sun print" method?

    Love your works! Absolutely stunning! Just a small question, do we have to use specific paints like the light-sensitive ones to creat sth like this or it just works with every kind of fabric paints? Tks a bunch

      Linh Nguyen Thank you! This technique will not work with all fabric paints. The paint needs to have minimal hand (no plastic texture once dry), can be diluted without losing color saturation, and must remain wet long enough for you to place the image/silhouette to block the sunlight. We have also found that this technique works well with our Liquid Watercolors, however, they are not permanent on fabric. For any additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. Thanks!

    @dragpalacetv Hi - it sounds like you might have fabric dye. Often powder dyes require salt for intensifying color and helping the dye absorb into your fabric. The Pebeo Setacolor is a paint and does not require salt. If you are looking for more product information, check out our web page; dickblick . com / products / pebeo-setacolor/. Thanks

    How long do you leave it in the sun/or under lamps?

      The time of exposure will vary based on time of year, weather, and location. Typically, it would need to be exposed from 15 minutes to an hour. You can check by lifting a corner of your stencil. Once you are satifsifed with the results, remove from the light source and heat set with an iron for 2-3 minutes.

    can i use this paint reduced in an airbrush?

    • @Blick_Art
      @Blick_Art  8 років тому

      +zach marshall Yes, you can use this paint in an airbrush. It is quite fluid to begin with but it if you need it be thinner, consider using a few drops of distilled water. It should not take much to thin them for spraying. If you have additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. Thanks!
