Still a couple of years away from retirement but starting to do some research. Appreciate the overview. Definitely looking more in central/ (maybe) eastern FL due to weather concerns. Also a fan of theme parks and like the idea of being close to WDW and the FL cruise ports (Canaveral/FtLauderdale/Miami/Tampa) if last minute deals are available. Definitely more interested in land purchase and co-op arrangements - a moderate HOA is fine - but I don't really trust lot rents.
Thanks so much for watching! It sounds like you're in a great position to start narrowing down your options. Central and Eastern Florida are both fantastic areas, especially if you want to be near the theme parks and cruise ports. Your focus on land purchase and co-op arrangements makes a lot of sense if you're concerned about long-term stability-lot rents can be unpredictable. There are definitely mobile home communities with moderate HOAs that offer great amenities and a sense of security without the hassle of rising rents. If you need any recommendations or have more questions, feel free to reach out as you continue your research. Best of luck with your retirement planning!
Dear Veronica (or anyone else), I am 68 and my wife is 57. We are looking for a resident owned community somewhere from as far north as Dunedin and as far south as Sarasota. Our situation is that we have permanent guardianship of or 19yo autistic daughter. We would be living there for 3-4 months per year. Any suggestions of a community that would allow us to live there? Also, do you know of any Florida anti-discrimination laws that allow exceptions for seniors with underage disabled adults to be with them in 55+ communities? Finally, are there any family friendly communities that are as nice as some of the nicest 55+ communities? Thank you in advance, Dan
Hi Dan, Thank you for your comment and for sharing your situation. I'd be happy to help! There are several resident-owned communities along Florida's west coast that could be a great fit for you and your family. Communities from Dunedin down to Sarasota offer a range of options, and some may be flexible in their 55+ age restrictions, particularly given your unique circumstances. Florida does have fair housing laws that prohibit discrimination based on familial status, which includes situations like yours. While many 55+ communities have strict age rules, there can sometimes be exceptions for caregivers or guardians of disabled adults. It’s best to inquire directly with each community to understand their policies and whether they are willing to accommodate your family. As for family-friendly communities that are comparable to 55+ communities, there are some great all-ages mobile home parks and manufactured home communities in Florida that offer excellent amenities. These communities often have a mix of younger families and retirees, which could provide a wonderful environment for you, your wife, and your daughter. I'd be happy to assist you further with specific community recommendations based on your preferences. Please feel free to reach out directly if you’d like to explore this more in-depth. Wishing you all the best in finding the perfect place! Warm regards, Veronica
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment! The west coast of Florida is absolutely beautiful, and I'd be happy to do a video on homes in Ruskin and Hudson under $100k. Stay tuned, and I'll have that video up as soon as possible. If you need any help finding a good Realtor when the time comes, please let me know-I can refer an agent who works over there. Best of luck with your retirement plans, and I hope you find the perfect spot in Florida!
@@marilyncruz6918 I know some throughout the state had flooding and damage. If you are considering purchasing one, I would ask if there was any flooding in the park and/or mobile homes and, if so, how bad it was.
What a cheesy video….anyone can make a video where all you do is show the location of these parks on a computer screen….here’s a thought for you: Make a pro grade video….actually leave your house and visit and shoot video of each of these parks….and maybe interview the lot manager and some of the residents…there’s work that pedestrian and lazy in nature…then there’s exemplary work…you should always strive for the latter.
Hi, I saw your youtube channel, video content is very good but not many views on your video, you can share your videos on social media platform, like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit and others. This will add more views to your video.
Actually it will not...UA-cam doesn't like you taking people off their platform and the same goes for Facebook, Instagram etc. They will not promote your videos for another social media account. It actually ruins the views. What you want to do is make a post on say Facebook with a link to the video below in the comments. But do not do this too often or it will hurt your views! Best of luck to you and your business!!

The problem with trailers is #1 space rental is ridiculously high, and #2 trailers are known hurricane targets
Are there any manufactured homes in the Jacksonville area that are resident owned where you don’t have to pay a lot fee? Thank you.
Maplewood Village in Cocoa, FL is a great place to live with low lot rent.
I see that the home prices are quite high. What would be the typical lot rent be in this park?
@SB-mw1bg $600-$700 depending on lakeside or not

The majority of these parks are. Florida has lots of 55+ mobile home parks. Are you thinking of moving to Florida?
