This show is EXTREMELY random, but also flows together really well. It's sort of like...organized chaos. In the reality of the show everything makes 100% sense. It's very entertaining with some really memorable bits, although it does push the envelope a bit and can get a bit dark at times. There are always some great quotes though like...Rum Ham!

Amazingly enough it has a story line since season 1. Lots of random things but it all ties together, def not just a background show if you wanna understand the story line, but random episodes are still funny if you don't feel like watching from season 1 to understand all the throwback jokes they do lol

The Charlie scene where he was talking with an accent was because the group of scientists gave him placebos to make him think they were intelligence pills lol. And he grew all these symptoms and shit. It was hilarious. I am surprised they didn't show the part where they exposed that and he started to talk and stand normally.
It's probably my favorite episode because he finally had the confidence to tell the waitress to get bent. Another favorite is "Charlie Work" where they show how Charlie basically keeps the pub afloat on inspection day.

I live in a suburb outside philly so this show was big for me, it started in 2005 an is still going, I think it’s the longest running cable show or comedy show, but yea a lot of the stuff they did wouldn’t fly today 😂 but that’s why I love it, even the out their stuff it’s good for me because it’s a part of everyone getting flamed an not just going in on one group alone

They made an episode called the "gang desperately tries to win an award" in which they try to win the "best bar" award. It's taking a jab at all modern acclaimed sitcom tropes...will they/won't they .. bright colors...laugh tracks etc. And they fail miserably. The end, basically, is that song

An episode called "Dee is Dating a Retarded Person" The song they are singing is later used in Season 4 episode 13 as the basis for a rock opera called "The Nightman Cometh" that Charlie writes to impress a girl so he can ask her to marry him. A fan favorite, the episode was so successful that they actually took the musical on the road and performed it in six cities.

You're right in that context is important because their episodes can get SO wild, context can be key. And you're also right in that it doesn't follow a sequential order, it's an episodic format and each episode tells its own story, I believe there are a couple two-parters, and they do reference past episodes, and events, but rarely does it have any vital information that's important to enjoy the episode. They get SUPER raunchy because they are such an old show they got grandfathered in to being allowed to do things other shows just can't get away with..
This so can seem so weird when out of context. But it's a great show that deals with a lot of issues. I think you should react to it on your channel, maybe. I've seen these episodes many times and I still LOL every time. The episodes are linked. And you can get in to the episodes.
