Benedikt Magnusson's record still stands... right? 461kg is the WR raw. 501 is the WR with straps or strongman deadlift (straps + hitching). I think the vid says former record.
The 461 is with straps, the 460 was raw

500kg is still counted as the world deadlift record because it was done in competition and thors was done in his home gym and gym records don’t count
@@callumotoole5840 Don’t count by who? a powerlifting federation? They have nothing to do with the validity of weight being lifted off the ground. In terms of human strength achievements, the context of competition vs gym lift is pretty irrelevant here

im not very experienced in strongman but why are the records of tire deadlifts higher than plates? whats the difference in the lift?
You dont have to lift it as far a distance so it's easier

Eddies 500kilos is the deadlift WR. Thor wasn't considered legit.

The 501kg lift by thor wasn't sanctioned. It shouldn't count and shouldn't be included.
It was sanctionned by World Ultimate Strongman, judge live by Magnus Ver Magnusson (former wsm, head referee of wsm and Giant Live, wirlds most respected strongman judge), plates were weighted live unlike any other contest, it was broadcasged live for free by ESPN and sponsored by ROGUE, and was done with stricter rules than Eddie had .... atleast watch the damn thing before commenting on it
not to say i can do it but the way mateusz presses isnt a press he throws it up...a guy like Shaw uses his raw strength like its suppose to be done anyone can throw up a wweight and balanc eit or hold it there that doesnt show shoulder strength as its suppose to..just saying..i think they even mad eit a rule now in Strongman you cant do that.
you are wrong, there is no rule, its called technique, strongman is about getting the way up no matter what, thats why hitching and straps are allowed on the deadlift
Dude that's one of the most clueless comment I've ever seen on strongman content. The way Mateusz does it is 100 time more impressive. He blitz Brian in anything related to shoulders and on shoulder medley he's been by far the best of all time
