The engine does get warm. However from experience the axles/driveline will melt/seize first.I have done a treadmill test before (with a different set) and overtime of back to back tests you could see where in the differential housing and on the drive shaft there was wear and eventually they fused together crashing the whole model. You can do these tests I just suggest not doing them for any considerable amount of time or back to back
I was thinking the same thing... I wonder if a sort of dry carbon/graphite lube would be better than a liquid oil for this??. The car seemed to work well anyway. 🙂
@@thesunreport Light amounts of motor oil could work, I would recommend something with more water like consistency. I am not an expert, just assume that a lighter substance could make quicker, more fluid motion.
the Dodge Charger (B-body) is 5.280 mm long the Lego Technic 42111 Dom’s Dodge Charger is 390 mm long that means the real Dodge Charger is 13,5384615384615 times larger 18km/h x 13,5384615384615 = 243,692307692307km/h so 18km/h for the lego dodger is 244km/h (152mph) for the real dodger
i just recently built one of these and it was a blast. the video sows very well the size of it. and to see that it can stand that speed shows the actual integrity if the technics series. i am also building a ford raptor thats is already the same size and i havent built the bed for it
Apparently my cheesy screen name has offended someone named Zero, here in the wacky universe that is [UA-cam]. I just wanted to make a positive comment about this person and his Lego Technic Charger based off Fast and the Furious series. My parents didn't have have a treadmill growing up nor did we know anyone who did at the time then. This was something I wanted to do as a kid with my Lego Technic models too but never got the chance.

Plz set Dom's dodge charger on fire and upload vedio of it burning into ashes 😭🤣🤣
The Porsche Turbo/Targa! That was an awesome build but not quite as fun as the '67 Fastback
I wonder if the lego engine got a bit warm or not due to the moving parts.🤔
Probably, but idk if it matters
I have seen these engines destroy themselves before heat could XD

Gotta give it to lego for building an engine that doesn’t need oil without grenading
Compression isn’t too flash however

Just floating components with zero compression though. Hardly impressive.

Damn that is amazing. Seeing the engine work so fast
😉😊👍🏽
18km/h in lego technic terms is like 160+ km/h in a real car 🤣
That thing was giving it everything it had 💀😎
more like 180km/h in real car
the Dodge Charger (B-body) is 5.280 mm long
the Lego Technic 42111 Dom’s Dodge Charger is 390 mm long
that means the real Dodge Charger is 13,5384615384615 times larger
18km/h x 13,5384615384615 = 243,692307692307km/h

Okay)
When I saw the engine all I could think about is Takumi’s Engine Going past it’s limit and giving out the first time he went against the Evo

A bit unfair, as the speed increases you should add some kind of airflow and think about lubricating the moving parts.
this is a family video
this is my childhood and teenage dream at the same time. I love it!
Lego is fun to play with. But Family is more fun
True 🙏🏼
that car is just beautiful
i modified mine to be lower to the ground I was wondering if it was a ground scraper
and they have made lego v8 engines now

A simple video with a lot of entertainment
Just noticed the string keep the car in place and from going of into the side of the treadmill infront of the lego Dodge Charger technic
I saw that too. I was wondering if it was doing the work for keeping the car going.
Now I want to see the Lego 1989 Batmobile
I watched this because it’s an American car. So if any of you are American like me, it reaches a top speed of 225 MPH. Which is fast.
I am speed
feels like the engine gonna EXPLODE

be a dope way to shoot driving scenes in stop motion films
I love it, but there's one thing bothering me: I wonder if lego would add a miniature Vin Diesel to this.

Its so nice to see how a Lego Engine works.
Imma just say this. That little V8 engine was working to keep up
