Is there a way to know how wide to make slippers if you don't have the foot to measure? For instance, I am making slippers for a kid that wears the xs equivalent to the pattern. I made it 33 chains in length as that was the conversion. However, I am unsure how to figure out the width. I would use my foot as a starting guide, but I have widish feet.

      Chiquito (6 Cadena)
      Medio (8 Cadena)
      Grande (10 Cadena)
Puedes medir el pie desde el talón hasta la punta. Cadena que muchos aseguran que es del largo del pie que estáis haciendo.

Thankyou so much for this! I'm a wheelchair user who doesn't have many shoes at the moment (so I don't need shoes with a strong sole, they just have to look look like shoes and not socks) so I'm gonna make one out of all the yarn colours I have in my home and use them as my shoes for when I need delicate looking shoes for parties or events.
I only own one pair of trainers and one pair of old hiking boots (from the days when I could walk, they're so old now 😂) and they're not exactly suitable for parties or events where I need smart looking shoes. But these are perfect!
I'm gonna go from "2 shoes fiona" to 10 "shoes" fiona in only a few days 😂😂

I used to crochet a lot. But through several moves I lost my patterns. I started looking today for slippers to do fast. I like your pattern. But most I like the clear way you explain and how you tell beginners when to stop and complete the section of the pattern! I have subscribed because of this. I am 73. I have many hobbies but this year I am fighting stage 4 kidney cancer for the second time in my life. So I am doing only fast easy things because I have to rest a lot. I am excited to make those slippers to warm my cold feet! Thank you.

I just want to say, thank you for showing some of the little bits there. Like the point where you slip stitch the second from the toe. I'm working on a project now that involves slip-stitching pieces together, and it's frustrating. Seeing an obvious expert have the same issues I do--finding the V, pulling the yarn through, all that--makes me feel a lot better about my abilities in crochet. It's good to know that this is part of the craft, not me being incompetent. I know it may not seem like much, but to someone who's just starting to try to improve it really does mean a lot.
I love the slippers, too! I have a young daughter that may need to get a pair of these!
