I tried out this bag at the LV Store. I don’t find that it’s heavy but it’s too small for me. So in the end, I bought Vavin PM in black empreinte leather. Personally, I’ll not grab the bag in the middle as they are made of soft leather.

Hi Kat, thanks for your video. Really informative on the Louis Vuitton MyLockMe chain bag. After a year or so, can you let us know how is the durability of the (i) leather and (ii) silver LV silver lock turn mechanism? Watched several other videos on this MyLockMe bag and only 1 video showed that the silver LV lock turn mechanism was broken - turn swivel was very loose and dangling rather than turn 45 degree to help close the bag. Look forward to hearing from you. many thanks again!!
Thank you! I just recently sold this bag after using it for almost 2 years . During the time, I never had any issues with the turnlock n the leather is still luxurious. Other that some wear on the leather (it has softened with constant use) , the bag has held up well.
This bag is so pretty ! I've considering this against the Twist MM. Which one do you think is better in terms of the hardware durability (any tarnshing/ scratching of this turnlock v the twist ) and wear of the bags ?
This is a great review! I’ve seen the dip in the middle of the flap too! I bought this bag and returned in within a day because I thought it was digging into my shoulder crossbody. I like the alternate straps you’re using! 👍👍

Thank you for a great review and especially for pointing out that it is a heavy bag. I prefer lighter bags because I have shoulder and back problems. It would only work if I carry only a card case and my phone so not realistic. This bag is so beautiful and looks so well made. Your hair looks so good at this length babe! ❤️
I have it and think it's a really light bag! Especially compared to the canvas bags...the chain is a little heavier but overall, def think it's light. So maybe best to try on in store and decide for yourself!
It really is a beautiful bag. I love the interior with the large compartment and smaller one in front. I prefer a slip pocket in back but at least it has one! 🖤

Great detailed review. It’s a nifty functional BLACK handbag. The short strap you’d attached is lovely, maybe you have a video about all your additional bag straps. And regarding the dip on the flap, it’s not visible till you’d pointed it out. It was my no-go till I met my puzzle bags n niki bag (o, btw I received the new model which has additional D rings to hold the shoulder chain - similar to Chanel mini rectangular - helps reducing the dip).

Sad to see this bag not being loved as much, but for me this is one of my best buy bag from LV in a very long time in terms of quality.. almost 2yrs with this bag, and I can say it hold it shape pretty well, no scratches on the leather and just normal wear and tear on the hardware.. In 2019 this is my daily-work bag, 2020 home quarantine lol.. also I bust out my boy because of your video, because I find it interesting that you say boy is tad lighter than mylockme bb.. coz in my mind boy is a heavy bag.. I remember bringing it on a holiday with me and 2days in it drives me nuts that I end up buying a WOC.. from then on I know I cannot tolerate heavy bags (80% of my bag is small-mini size) so on trip my go to bag will be like evelyn tpm, noe bb, palmspring bb, woc.. But last year on my 20days holiday trip, I almost use my lockme bb during the entire trip and I find it comfortable, not as light as evelyn tpm but still managable till I’m surprised so did my family coz usually I’m v. fuzzy with my bag & shoes during trips coz I want them to be extra comfy, coz 25++km on feet everyday from morning to night when I usually drive 😅.. maybe next after we all can travel I should bring my boy again to see 🤣 my boy rarely see the light of the day due to its weight.. ohh forget about maxi n jumbo have not been using it for years already 😅🙈
How is the corner bottom of you bag holding? I have a lock me backpack and bought it this March only and the corner bottom are wearing off rubbing off already. So disappointed 😩

Love the really in-depth review, and the bag is stunning. I think the hardware is perfect and yes, the grained leather definitely takes away some worries, hence allowing for a more comfortable use. Thanks for sharing about the weight, for such a small bag to be that heavy is quite a let down imho and a major issue for me to get it. I got it from Fendi. It is very old but you can get it very cheap in preloved now
