Thank you for sharing this,. It will help me yo improve my workshop ;) im planing to buy double needle machine but im not sure about distance between needles 8,10,12mm? Can u let me know with one is best fot car upholstery?
Regularly, 10 mm could is considered as a standard measure for car seats. I have chosen this measure for my double needle sewing machine. One half of an inch wide (12 mm approx.)is also for car seats and used a lot in furniture. I like this measure for sofa cushions, etc. 8 mm is a nice narrow width for dashboards, consoles, door panels, etc. It means it would be advisable to have an additional machine set up to this distance. There are two kinds of double needle machines: flat bed and post bed. Both are useful. A post bed helps to sew double sewings easier in case of handling headrests or other rounded pieces such as handbags, etc. There are many good trademarks I cannot say which one is the best. The well known trademarks are Juki, Consew, Pfaff, Adler, Brother, Singer, etc.
