It would be a success here just like every other compact crossover (which is one of the hottest segments in this country). @Chris It's not a rumour, it is confirmed. It's called Fiesta ST SIP edition in exclusive Azure Blue colour. Has some black bits on the exterior, blue accents in the interior and sport button on the steering wheel like the Puma and Focus ST. It's pretty much the colour of the Focus RS, Ford won't be making a Fiesta RS as it would ruin Focus ST sales.

Dealers (including mine) are accepting deposits on them, the spec is out to the public, pricing, and there are photos of a registered belgium car. The car exists already, they are being all produced this month. There isn’t an official statement from Ford yet, but that doesn’t matter, there is nothing to hide anymore.

Amazing SUV!! I wish it came to the states. I have an 18 Ecosport SES. AWD, sport suspension, torque vectoring, and a 2.0l. quick and fun. I would love to see how mine would do against the Puma and the Ecosport ST! I also wish I could get ST parts for mine since again, another one we do not get in the USA! From my 91 Escort GT 5 speed, to my Ecosport all of my 8 cares are Ford!! The RS Escort Cosworth is my dream car. I would give anything to work with ford, or to drive these amazing cars. We signed friday our contracts for the Puma ST in Mean green, but performance pack wasn't available. But it's a great car on it's own (testdrive) just wait 4 till 5 months. So for now we keep driving our Ford Kuga ST line 1.5 150hp 😍

My first thought upon seeing the ad for Puma ST was "please stop". But the model actually makes sense when doing an ST version. As he mentions, combining day to day use and the extra space and features from the new Puma. I like it. But ehm, do an 250 hp Fiesta AWD version and it will reach cult status as other models did.

Dear Ford, when I finish my driving licence I tested a few cars, but ended buying a Ford puma. My friends said it was a girls car but I felt in love with the it, the lines, the cornering, fun to drive, compact and the greabox was perfect. I love that car so much that after years I bought a second. The puma needed upgrades to jump in to the big league of sports cars, for example a turbo, serious brakes and at least 17 inches wheels. Has I saw that a new puma was being done I could belive it I was so happy but then I saw this, a sub for families to go shopping and feel confortable. I'm just sad, you just murdered the hope of every puma lover. If ever rethink to bring a car back listen to the fans not to the data analyst that drives a prius. Have a nice day
We have lots of cars in the stable and four of them currently are Fords. A 2002 ZX5 highly tuned Auto X racer that is an amazing FWD, a 2006 Zx5 SES that is a great fun FWD, a 2011 SE 4 door Sedan that is a good competent economical daily commuter (garage kept and super serviced looks and drives like new) although not very sporty and then a 2018 (Bought new end of 2020) Ecosport SES AWD 2.0NA (166bhp 149ft lbs) that I wish could be more of a RS or Raptor version. Once the warranty expires it will likely be getting performance upgrades in power and handling. Upgrading the AWD to be more RS -like or possibly at least LSD?? We will be looking at the Puma ST to see if they may be a parts bin source for crossover bits like the Fiesta ST has shareable components. Interested in any factory or government crash test vehicles etc... for parts. Mazda 2.5 (add turbo)or Ford 2.0 ecoboost (tuned)swap or maybe rebuild Ecosport NA2.0l for turbo power (likely easiest to get lots of power but need AWD to be controllable and capable of power).

Recently I noticed I forget I have a sport button in my car as I drive 99% of time 10km where it's not wise to push the engine to the limit, but last day I went 16km and a lot of corners and I was driving as fast as it can go and that was the time I could use it. If you turn it off, you have a feeling the car lost half the power, but in reality (at least in my car, there are some like Alfa Mito where torque actually increases) the power and torque is the same, it's just the position of the gas pedal that differs, in Sport mode all the power is available at the top of the pedal travel and in regular mode you have to push it to the metal. It's nice, but a lot of times 200HP is the real bottleneck.
Looks like an Airfix model of a car from a sci-fi series. Give me the clean simplicity of the Mondeo ST220 any day. A solid reliable engine that'll last over 200,000 miles; not overstressed EcoBallz units that give up after less than a third of that
I bought an old MK1 ford focus as a cheap run around a few years ago and was pleasantly surprised by the driving experience. It was quite old and had quite a few problems which I put down to its age and mileage. When it was on its last legs I decided to go for the latest focus at the time (4 years ago mk 3), expecting that there would not be many issues since it was a newish car. How wrong I was, the number of faults left me surprised. Needless to say, I will *never* buy a Ford again.
It seems they have a number of build quality issues; the door strip peeling off (you see this issue with lots of mark 3 focuses), water ingress when it rains, flywheel fails (expensive to repair), AC system leaks into passenger footwell. Yet they were just as expensive as the superior vw group cars such as Golf, Leon etc. Ford is well known for build quality issues.
@@interceptor-ss8kb to be completely fair the Fiesta is already 3 years old, and there's probably a facelift coming up soon. I think the Fiesta looks fine but the back really lets it down, looks like a C-Max from behind.
Ishmael Simpson Yes we do, but don’t get your hopes up or even bother importing it, it’s just a rebadged Edge Sport with slightly more HP. Compared to a traditional ST hatch it only comes in an automatic, doesn’t have Recaro seats, fake engine noise, and isn’t as fun. You guys are lucky to have the new Focus ST

I have a Mountune MK7 Fiesta ST here in the UK and wouldn't really want anything else other than a Focus RS. The new Fiesta ST and Puma ST don't really appeal to me.

I got the 150hp mhev ST Line X, felt the same as you do for like one hour, and then realized, this is too sporty for a city SUV car. The one thing I regret not having is the driving modes button on the steering wheel tho.
Vielleicht sollte man sich auch bei den Farben etwas an der "heritage" orientieren. Es gibt kein "Performance-blau" wie bei den alten Modellen. Die Farben für den Fiesta ST sind leider mehr als langweilig, da ist magnetic-grey noch die beste Wahl. Schade eigentlich. Gerade wenn man im Vergleich die Farbvielfalt für die Standardversionen des Fiesta sieht... Wenn das Topmodell die geringste Farbauswahl hat, ist das schon merkwürdig.

This version is lowered by 12-15 mm compare base version. There is a downforce on the front axle and megabox has integrated diffusor function as well.

It seems they have a number of build quality issues; the door strip peeling off (you see this issue with lots of mark 3 focuses), water ingress when it rains, flywheel fails (expensive to repair), AC system leaks into passenger footwell.
Yet they were just as expensive as the superior vw group cars such as Golf, Leon etc. Ford is well known for build quality issues.

Yes because the Puma is made on the Ford Fiesta platform in Craiova, Romania.
It is the same car. I prefer the Puma because it looks better in my opinion

Think the puma ST could actually steal away alot of Fiesta ST customers as it's no doubt looks much better and more modern then the Fiesta.
@@interceptor-ss8kb to be completely fair the Fiesta is already 3 years old, and there's probably a facelift coming up soon.
I think the Fiesta looks fine but the back really lets it down, looks like a C-Max from behind.

Ishmael Simpson Yes we do, but don’t get your hopes up or even bother importing it, it’s just a rebadged Edge Sport with slightly more HP. Compared to a traditional ST hatch it only comes in an automatic, doesn’t have Recaro seats, fake engine noise, and isn’t as fun. You guys are lucky to have the new Focus ST
@@perfectlybalanced8995 That's really unfortunate. America is being shafted by Ford with the lineup of cars. Plus, who asked for an Edge ST? I have a Mountune MK7 Fiesta ST here in the UK and wouldn't really want anything else other than a Focus RS. The new Fiesta ST and Puma ST don't really appeal to me.

I like it. A lot. But I live in the USA, so I’ll never see one. Oh well... glad I bought my Fiesta ST when I did.
Let's all do our part: call or write Ford US Customer Relationship Center and tell them what their American customers want. If we all contact them, maybe they'll realize it's a profitable business decision to bring the Puma ST 6 spd manual transmission to the US/North American market. Wouldn't hurt to ask for the Focus ST and/or the Fiesta ST 6 speed manual as well!

Besides the edge ST, there was no ST to my knowledge that came with an automatic transmission.
So just got the 125hp ST LineX and now they come out with this ST, which has 200hp... 🤦♂️😪☹️😤
I got the 150hp mhev ST Line X, felt the same as you do for like one hour, and then realized, this is too sporty for a city SUV car. The one thing I regret not having is the driving modes button on the steering wheel tho.

Es gibt kein "Performance-blau" wie bei den alten Modellen.
Die Farben für den Fiesta ST sind leider mehr als langweilig, da ist magnetic-grey noch die beste Wahl.
Schade eigentlich. Gerade wenn man im Vergleich die Farbvielfalt für die Standardversionen des Fiesta sieht...

It's the fiesta platform but the boot is bigger than the focus. Could be a focus alternative at a similar price
