In the Bible music is associated with worship. I used to think "it's just music" but nowadays I think "who am I worshipping if I listen to this?". God bless you all. ❤️
True. At the same time, let’s not condemn somebody just because they decide to listen to Katy Perry. Garbage in and garbage out. If the music causes you to sin, cut it off and strictly listen to gospel music. Still, I ask for forgiveness for listening to secular music because it does contain a lot of sex, desires, fleshly things (obviously). The main point is, be careful what you listen to just like when you play video games or watch movies. We can sometimes fight the temptations that those things give off but to people who don’t believe in Jesus, those things are a major attack on their behavior patterns. Pray for God to keep us on the right path!

I'm a very lyrical person. I learn lyrics very quickly and I listen for the meanings of the songs I like. When I heard Judas, by Lady Gaga, I wasn't really paying attention to the lyrics that day and only heard the beat and music and I really liked that song. As time passed and I heard that song numerous times, I caught myself singing along and STOPPED, dead in my tracks and thought about the meaning of those lyrics. Once I played attention, I realized it was blasphemous and I never listened to it again. To this day, if I hear it playing beyond my control, it literally hurts my heart and I begin to feel guilty even if I'm not the one playing that song and even though I don't like it anymore. It's just sad that some of God's children can speak those things and call it a form of "Art".

Me too friend. Recently, a friend of mine played a very… promiscuous song by Doja Cat in her car and though it made me uncomfortable I didn’t adamantly demand she change it, so it played through. I was so depressed afterwards, And I could tell the Spirit also was grieved. It’s so sad to know what is the most popular music, and that the most artists whose music I used to love are devil worshippers (not that they can’t be saved). Music is so powerful and it can be sneaky. I always listen carefully to lyrics nowadays and try to listen to music that glorifies God 🙌🏽💕

It can be a challenge at times
I have been SO blind and stupid and living the most unfulfilled life for the past 30 years.... I'm 36 now and finally opening my eyes and although I have always prayed and been a believer in God I have never so strongly in my life felt the need to cleanse my soul and to spread nothing but love and positivity to my fellow brothers and sisters. God bless us all.... the story about Sean, the glass jar and the empty tomb immediately brought tears to my eyes... there really are no words to thank Jesus for his suffering and sacrifice.

I’ve used such words myself and I’m ashamed of this and I’ve repented of this disgusting habit. But it still hurts my heart that I ever did this.

I feel the exact same way. He died a brutal death for us to experience eternal life with Him, yet people make fun of Him as if he isn’t God, as if He didn’t make the ultimate sacrifice for our sins, as if He doesn’t offer us the most beautiful gift. I pray for their repentance and making Jesus their Lord and Savior otherwise they will have a very rude awakening very soon.

This vid reminds me of something that happened in my life. My friend was making fun of Jesus and Christianity in front of me. I guess he was trying to rattle me up and I remember him saying. "Does it offended you when I make fun of your religion?" My response left him silent. I said. "Believe me when I say, offending me is the least of your concerns right now. I'd be more worried that you just offended God. No I'm not upset at you. I'm actually scared for you and what he might do when you die and have to face him."
