How to install Castle B link - Castle Creations Bluetooth adapter

- Welcome to TJsRC. This time we're going to install Castle B link, Bluetooth adapter. It only take a few minutes to install the Castle B link and then you can use your smart phone to make changes to the Castle ESC. This video is simply a how to install the Castle B link adapter. Will I have issues, because of b.link, my 3 esc xlx2 a in setting mode and not going to drive mode
I don’t know for sure if it’s widespread but I did have to remove the B link from my truck after using because it seamed to interfere with something. I couldn’t figure out exactly what the problem was but it went away after removing it. So now I just plug it in-line when I need to change something wich for me is not very often so it isn’t a deal breaker for me.
It’s not designed to be hooked up permanently! It’s A portable wi-fi program card! Basically
@@camazar1 the design of the product does give the impression that you can/should leave it in line. It's a great tool for what it does though.
I just bought this and the app will not see it at all. Its connected to xlx2. Tried everything but app won't see it.
Does it have power? Do you have it connected inline between the receiver and the ESC?
@@TJsRC Yea it has power. The blue light slowly flashes. I have it connected between esc throttle wire and throttle input on receiver. My note nine sees the device in Bluetooth but the app does not see it at all. Only thing I can think that MIGHT be the problem is whenever I turn on the car to drive it, right after initial starting tone I get the radio glitch error tone of 2 short beeps and one long beep. After that the car is ready to drive. Maybe that has something to do with it, don't know. Tomorrow I'm gonna take the truck to hobby shop where I bought the castle link and see if they can figure it out. If not then I'll call up castle. If that still don't help then I'll just stick to the program card pc connection to program the esc.
@@ahwayzcool4630 I haven’t experienced this specific problem but I do have to remove mine after I use it to make changes otherwise when I leave it inline I get receiver glitches. I’m sorry i don’t have a useful suggestion for you it sounds like you have a good plan of action. Let us know when you get it solved, maybe it will help others if they have similar problems. One last thought reinstall the app fresh and try that’s what I would try next.
@@TJsRC I finally figured it out and got it working. I needed to have GPS turned on in my phone along with Bluetooth. Smh.

Hi. Can I use the castle b-link to program hobby Holmes torquemaster br mini brushed dual esc ?
I don't know about that as I don't have any experience with Holmes ESC. I know I like his motors. I think they might be compatible. If you already have the B-link I'd say try it. If you're wondering if you should buy it I would want more confirmation that it'll work before investing in it. You could email Holmes customer support or check the Holmes Hobbies Facebook groups to see if anyone has first hand experience with it.
This sucks if you have to remove it before bashing
It seems that it doesn't cause trouble for everyone so you may just have to try it and see if it does in your setup or not.
What model esc were you using at the time? I bought the blink yesterday 🤞

I have a Sidewinder 3 and since I plugged up the B-link it just flashes green idk what to do lol
laboy I think that the status light for throttle calibration. Just throwing out ideas
