Angels? Cupids as a lower cast of angels? It's well shot, great music, great story. The only thing I have a beef with is his professed love for the woman. How can that be if he has deprived her of other partners? That's no love, but he recognized the selfishness himself.

Quite an unexpected twist. A devil who thought he was an angel ! Not unreal if you think about it. And what a middle and end twist after twist ... I can feel the writer's mind
He died and was not headed to heaven. He was given an option other than hell, and that was to be a "cupid". Unfortunately, the primary rule was that he could not seek love. It looks like he met Mary prior to his death. He was probably her love match but because of his own choices left the world too soon for anything to come out of the meeting. He pursued her while he was a cupid and felt guilty for keeping her locked to a person she could never be with. Plus, he wanted more than just phone conversations and text messages. He was going to end his life and go to hell. Anything over the agony of not being allowed to be with his love. He was saved just in time by a pair of cupids who discovered a way to free love-struck cupids with heaven non the wiser. They clipped his wings, repaired him enough that a hospital could take over, and contacted Mary so that she would be waiting at the hospital.

I watch this often. I’ve had a rather intense relation to it I suppose. And that has been from my very first watch. The other 50, well... I just still love it that much 💙😅 I just choose to ignore the chicken wing thing and enjoy the rest. I’m so curious though... was the chicken wing thing on purpose or was it just a poorly executed idea?
Hey Kayeden - they were deliberate as they're meant to represent Elias' impotence, and are basically a cruel joke by the 'powers that be' (who, in our film's world, deny him/these beings the big, beautiful, functioning wings you'd usually associate with 'cupids'). He knew that he could contact her by doing it this way. And then he also regretted it and told her how he is selfish and it couldn’t happen anyway so he needed to end it all.

Also, stories should be allowed to use suicide as a story element, especially since they’re not glorifying it.
