Is it too simple for me to say that Jeff's lyrics almost revealed and predicted that he would die soon? Seriously i like to interpret this stuff and "wait in the fire" has got to be, life on earth. there is so much going on here...
+bvolsky Yes exactly like that. But there's many more: "And the rain is falling, and I believe, my time has come" "It reminds me of the pain I might leave, leave behind" "But I'm not afraid to go, but it goes slow" "To fly me *away*" "Now it's my time coming, I'm not afraid to die" "Walking to the bright lights in sorrow" "We both might go tomorrow" His music, is full of references to either death, disconnection, or leaving or dying soon. Is it a coincidence? I have had some email contact with his mother, Mary. She's great, so long ago, she lost Tim, and then later, Jeff. But the more I dig into Jeff's life, and by doing that, also Tim's... the more I come out, not really.. answering anything. One more thing though, I do *not" run the universe or even have a clue to it's workings, but, Jeff should have been here with us a lot more than 30 years, and only less than 10, with his music if that, is not enough; the world needs people like Jeff. If there is an 'order' or logic to this, I don't know it. Thanks for writing. :-)
CinnCity78 Hi, in actual actuality i was INDEED the very 1st and also intend to be the last. which might disappoint the person who 'intended' to be last. oh well life blows and goes on.
There's the moon asking to stay Long enough for the clouds to fly me away Oh, it's my time coming, I'm not afraid Afraid to die My fading voice sings of love, But she cries to the clicking of time. Of time Wait in the fire. Wait in the fire. Wait in the fire. Wait in the fire. The fire. And she weeps on my arm Walking to the bright lights in sorrow Oh drink a bit of wine We both might go tomorrow Oh my love And the rain is falling, I believe my time has come It reminds me of the pain I might leave Leave behind Wait in the fire. Wait in the fire. Wait in the fire. Wait in the fire. The fire. It reminds me of the pain I might leave Leave behind And I feel them drown my name So easy to know and forget with this kiss I'm not afraid to go but it goes so slow Wait in the fire. Wait in the fire. Wait in the fire. Wait in the fire. Wait in the fire. Wait in the fire. Wait in the fire. Wait in the fire.
I put a lot of work into this song Breath control etc etc and yes im able to sing it, even the scream at the end luckily ive a 4 octave range i thought id sail through this song but il be honest guys this was a real challenge, 😰
Possible best song composed and written ever
He is so underrated, it’s crazy how little Spotify streams he has.
I can sing it and I'm proud
You should be
Yes be proud this is no easy feat. Jeff’s music is like a signature unique only to him🎼 🎵 🎶 🥲
you fucking should bro!
well done💪💪💪
We're all a bunch of lunatics
This is nearly perfect! Now if I could just tune the key down about 4 steps and I *might* be able to sing it...
Great job, thanks!
This is such a challenging song god I love him
GCSE music , though! This is awesome! xxx
This song is grade 8, I’m doing it rn for my last grade. I’ve sang it so many times I can’t feel my throat 💀

You're not the first nor the last to speculate this.

+lordsardonicvids Stop entitling yourself to the speculatuions, you're not the first and not the last.
+Garry SC
No. In fact I was first....google that. And the last?
We will see eh? We will see. . . :-\
oh hell yes! That was fun! THANX!
I managed to sing it quite well barring the screams.
There's the moon asking to stay
Long enough for the clouds to fly me away
Oh, it's my time coming,
I'm not afraid
Afraid to die
My fading voice sings of love,
But she cries to the clicking of time.
Of time
Wait in the fire.
Wait in the fire.
Wait in the fire.
Wait in the fire.
The fire.
And she weeps on my arm
Walking to the bright lights in sorrow
Oh drink a bit of wine
We both might go tomorrow
Oh my love
And the rain is falling,
I believe my time has come
It reminds me of the pain
I might leave
Leave behind
Wait in the fire.
Wait in the fire.
Wait in the fire.
Wait in the fire.
The fire.
It reminds me of the pain
I might leave
Leave behind
And I feel them drown my name
So easy to know and forget with this kiss
I'm not afraid to go but it goes so slow
Wait in the fire.
Wait in the fire.
Wait in the fire.
Wait in the fire.
Wait in the fire.
Wait in the fire.
Wait in the fire.
Wait in the fire.

The long scream in the end is an E, right? And the he goes up to G towards the end?
yea I think so
I only know that it's a G5 at the ending scream but can't tell you when exactly
yes it is a long E soaring to G ! i used to think it was an F! but it's not
🤣🤣🤣I'd like to see someone try!

Grondal approves
Awesome!! :P
I not into Karaoke at all, just want to know if the song is good with no vocals or how good that voice makes the song.
I thought it was 'Wade in the fire'.... make more sense?
Yes
if it,s a lake of gasoline i guess wade is about right :)
Waay too fast
