News flash Adam I am a journeyman lineman in California and I make over 400,000 a year and I don’t work for anyone but myself. When I wanna quit I quit when I wanna go to work I go to work I can pick my own hours and work when I wanna work. I can quit one day and decide to change my mind and go back to that company the very next day. Life of a lineman baby. $400,000 a year. But it’s not for everyone!!!!! Most can’t even get through and pass the apprenticeship. And yes we are union but most 99% of my brothers vote for Trump even though the union hall tries to get us to vote democrat. God first, then family, then the union. Oh and don’t call us electricians…….electricians wire houses lineman wire cities and towns !!!!!!!

I spent hours driving to school, never to learn anything i needed until i became a nurse . I learned 75% of everything I know on the job and from the doctors I worked for.

They pay $100k for a piece of paper and think they are hot shit. End up crying everyday because they can't do the job. That's why "real scooling" should go to junior high, but apprenticeship from age 7 and up. That's everything from mowing the lawn with dad, dishes with mom to then TA along side teachers, apprentice alongside garbage man to hedgefund manager and everything in between. Then, you pick it and stick with it. No one still knows what they want to do when they graduate with BA because they have never done anything!

I left the California Bay Area less than a year ago. I was born a raised there, just couldn't take it anymore. It was depressing to watch it get worse over the years, I hope it will improve someday but probably not in my lifetime, it's a shame.

For parents, spend time with your kids, keep your word and get to know their friends….my suggestion. Also, read to them when they are young…my husband did this for our daughter every night after supper. We are Christians, so we trained up our child. Our daughter is now 34, and a joy to be around….nothing is more delightful than a happy lady♥️

When I lived in Santa Barbara, I would take my daughter on shopping trips to 3rd Street Promenade, or we'd stop there on our way to Disneyland or Universal Studios. In fact Russia doesn't need Cuba in order to pose a nuclear threat to the US - there are ICBM submarines for that purpose (missile cruiser submarines). The sub in Cuba is not a missile cruiser.

My dad used to work in janitorial at a theatre company that saw a lot of famous stage actors come through in the 70s etc. He always reminded me and issued a warning to be mindful around actors/ actresses because you never knew when they were being genuine or in character.

I own a fast food chain and I’ve never had parents try to be apart of the interview but I have had them vouch for their kids while they pick up applications on their behalf. More than half the time when kids want a day off or they’re sick, they have their parents call in for time off. Every time I ask them to have the person I actually hired relay that message to me.
That would never even have occurred to me as a teen!

Newsflash! This single parent Mom had my children working when they were 5 years old. My son learned numbers delivering newspapers at age 5; youngest person to ever have a checking account and pay for his own scholastic books at school. The teacher phoned and got the account shut down. My daughter ran lemonade stands at 5 and by 7 she was going door to door with me to raise money for the kidney foundation. By 15/16 my son was raising support for his own film projects. They got their own jobs in high school and bought their own clothes. Today they are successful property owners.
Being a single parent is child abuse.

I owned a construction business for 20 years, I was able to take vacations. I did delegate authority, and I had foreman who I trusted that were able to manage my projects. I usually had 20 to 30 employees and I made great money. When I sold the business, I did quite well, and now I’ve started smaller businesses utilizing less employees and less babysitting, which allows me to be semi retired.
