You make the best videos of these historical photos. I like that you dont speak over it. The music conveys both hope & despair. Just really enjoy these. Thank you
I went to China the year before the Tiananmen massacre where that one very brave man put an end to it. If you’ve never seen it, track it down-he literally put his life on the line and prevailed. It was one of the most intense historical moments I’ve seen in my lifetime-absolutely mind-boggling!
the Sharon Tate photo may be the saddest thing I've ever seen. What a tragedy.
had the same thought.
I can't even think of the tragedy...oh God😢😢😢😢
A great compilation featuring many originals, and, of course, the iconic score...thank you. I watched it twice.
That first one with Sharon Tate 😓. God rest their souls
Awesome as usual and all the text was fully in frame and legible for me on my television,, which is nice..
Rita Hayworth in the 1940s: breathtakingly beautiful, in black-n-white or in living colour.
Excellent
I remember when soda came in bottles-in fact, my fourth-grade class in what was then still rural, unincorporated Santa Clara had a field trip to a Coca-Cola bottling plant somewhere up the eastern part of the bay-Fremont, maybe. Anyway, at any store that sold soda, you could redeem small bottles for three cents and large ones for five (there was still lots of penny candy and candy bars were larger than they are now and they were a nickel); before we stopped reusing glass bottles and decided to fill the world with plastic, the prices had reached five cents for a small bottle and ten cents for a large one-and candy prices had not gone up, so it was very exciting if you were a candy fiend!
Inflation. When my brother and I rode bikes to collect them when they were building I80 in NJ they were 2 cents for the small ones. They were really small too I remember Orange Crush coming in dark brown, 7oz bottles. They were brown because back then Orange Crush had no coloring added. Yeah if you poured it out into a clear glass it was actually green! Best soda on the planet back in the day. Also liked Nehi Grape.
I can remember as a young boy walking about a quarter of a mile up the street and scour the ditches beside the road looking for discarded soda bottles hoping to redeem them and buy a candy bar or some sort of snack from the 7-11.
Those were the days…

Could you tell me the composer and title of this music please its a compliment to your great historic photos❤
The photo in WDC, I think might be what is now the old Executive Office Building, which was where the Vice President’s office was when I worked on Capitol Hill in 1974-1976.
@1:29, your caption says, “…Grand Central Station…”, unless she’s at the Post Office, Marylin is actually at Grand Central “Terminal”, as Grand Central “Station” is the main New York City post office.
@01:32 word has it that that man walked over the edge of the platform we he realized who that was.
Marilyn Monroe was so beautiful!
She was gorgeous I hafta agree. She was a good person too.
@@leecowell8165: Sure. Because screwing married men and being a home breaker is 'good'.
@@leecowell8165 Take away that hairdo, the make-up and fancy clothes, and you're left with the check-out girl at the supermarket, nothing special!
Awesome video. Thanks for this. Did anyone else pause at 3:25 and screen shot Bruce Lee's workout routine? LOL.
The worst sunburn I ever got was in 1977 at Daytona Beach-I was used to Northern California beaches, which varied from pleasant to windy and cold, and in all cases were much too cold to spend much time in the water, which is very, very cold and tumultuous. I had never been on a beach that had silly little waves and warm water, and spent the whole day frolicking in the waves, and ended up with first-degree burns on most of my body.
Yikes!

It was a real shock, let me tell you!
Youre lucky that they hadnt invented skin cancer at that time!

Indeed!
Yo lighting squares with a flamethrower is wild reckless 😂
The games arcade in San Francisco was found in the lower levels of the old (but not original) Cliff House.
Those Sharon Tate photos are very sad. The horror one little insignificant speck of a human being can inflict is incredible. And Manson did that just to be as evil as he possibly could.
Burt Renald was a great actor and a hottie.he was way older than me but I always thought he was the most handsome man. I think it was because in a way he reminds me of my daddy who was a very handsome guy but he was in the Air Force and was in 2 wars. And he had a very bad attitude and needed some one to tell him about it. But I loved him so much and I repseted him for the jobs he did in the wars he was an Arplane
👍
The best pictures are the actors of the cosmonauts from the NASA-Disney studio. I'm laughing at this comedy.
Sharon Tate. I just paused there for about a minute...

7:32 pulled over for speeding in an Ostrich cart - but an old lady riding a pushbike passed me offica :)
Weaver turned down the role for the movie Aliens due to the use of guns, she is very anti gun. They offered weaver a million dollars, she forgot about being anti gun.
I wish they'd stop showing Sharon Tate photos. It just brings me down.
Apollo 12. Second crew to land on the moon..... that’s funny
Apollo 12 looks like it’s made with tin foil. We meant to believe they went to the moon and returned in this haha. It’s laughable
🤣🤣🤣
