Thanks for Doing Taemin Deep Dive He is Iconic, My all Time Favourite Taemin Song Is Guilty, So Next Would Recommend Advice, Move ,Criminal And Want, But He Has A Huge Discography as He's Been Solo Artist for 10 years Now, Just Love Him ❤❤❤
Yes, Taemin is the role model of many idols -- including Ten, Jimin, & Kai. This is why he's called the "Idols Idol". He is considered the best dancer in Kpop by industry insiders (check out his dance practices). Taemin and his group, SHINee (means receiving light, and yes you said it correctly the first time), are probably one of the most beloved and influential groups in Kpop to this day. They debuted in 2008 when Taemin was just 14 YO (and just 11/12 when he entered SM as a trainee). In addition to Taemin, SHINee is comprised of Onew (leader, oldest), Jonghyun, Key, and Minho. Taemin is the maknae (youngest member) of SHINee and today is his 31st birthday. Since he is going on 17 yrs. of being an artist, this means that Taemin has been in the industry more than half his life. However, his fame has come at a price. As a very "pretty" young boy, Taemin has been very exploited by the industry since his appearance with SHINee. This messed greatly with his head in addition to conflicting majorly with his Christian worldview. Although Taemin LOVES what he does, the struggle to resist all the temptations and the insidious underbelly of the industry constantly clash with his Catholic values. Unfortunately, his SHINee brother, Jonghyun, probably the best Kpop vocalist of his generation, couldn't withstand the pressure. He was exhausted and wanted peace. His loss also greatly affected Taemin, as they are all extremely close and consider themselves family. Therefore, Taemin expresses these anxieties, fears, anger, frustration, and heartbreak through his music. To know Taemin is to know his music. He tells us exactly how he feels, what bothers him, and how much he loves and appreciates his fans. With each album, it seems that Taemin gets more personal with the trauma he has sustained over the last 16 years. His latest 2023 mini-album, "Guilty" reveals just how controlled, manipulated, and bound he has been over the years. In the MV, while it may "appear" as if Taemin is possessed by toxic love, that is far from the actual meaning of the song. Taemates (Taemin fans of literaly all ages - I'm in my 60's) know that Taemin is revealing something much deeper, and in interviews and live chats on various platforms, he gives us snippets of it's meaning. Many of us were shocked at how revealing this was once we saw the MV and understood the true meaning. Playing with the theme of duality, Taemin depicts his struggle as both a Christian performer in an imperfect world trying to stay true to his faith, and the desire to embrace the constant bombardment, enticement, and brainwashing of sinful temptations offered by fame and the false "gods" of the industry that appeal to his very base human nature. It was so beautiful but heartbreaking at the same time. "Advice" which I would suggest you react to, as it is considered the fastest choreo out there, was the last installment released of his continuous personal story just two-weeks before his mandatory enlistment. It was considered the epilogue to his excellent entire 2020, "Never Gonna Dance Again, (NGDA)" 2-part album storyline until "Guilty" dropped in 2023. The entire album is cohesive with connecting concepts based upon his philosophical musings. Taemin is DEEP into exploring philosophies from around the world, as he uses them as a foil to explain his struggles. Every aspect of his music/MVs: lyrics, choreography, images, costumes, is replete with symbolic messaging--many of them Christian. You can never look at the MV and think the surface of the lyrics and such is the actual meaning. You must dig much deeper to get to the truth. "IDEA" is a part of the NGDA album. Part 1 of NGDA was released with the title song, "Criminal" (another recommendation for you). It's concept is Stockholm syndrome, which revealed a schism that occurred within Taemin's mind between his "good" side and the "bad". Taemin was being held captive by his sinful desires warring with his Christian side and his love for his craft. Neither one wants to give up; they are chained together in one body. "IDEA" is the title song for part 2 of NGDA with the concept of Plato's Theory of Forms which states that no created being (form) can create itself. Only an outside force/being can be the creator, and only that being can create perfection -- something Taemin is always seeking from his "Messiah". This theme is perfectly aligned with his Christian worldview. The MV depicts the culminating battle between good (heaven) and bad (hell). "Advice" depicts a battered and scarred Taemin, the survivor of IDEA, castigating both toxic fans and naysayers along with the industry (the collective one advice). Taemin dismisses them all and states he will stick with his own ADVICE. They are all stunning MVs, as is the norm where Taemin is concerted. Taemin is very intimately involved in the entire process of making his music. He will tweak lyrics, the music score, and even use the intonations of his voice while singing to convey the tone and atmosphere of the message he wants to convey. I've really never seen any other artist do this. This is perfectly illustrated through one of his B-sides, "Impressionable" ( ua-cam.com/video/S4a0s0Y1ltI/v-deo.html ) Here's a live, fan-made video of his performance of this at his Metamorph concert last year: ua-cam.com/video/5Z0dcHbT2P4/v-deo.html Taemin also helps with the choreography, often changing it on the fly in performances according to how he feels (Taemin is a natural, self-trained dancer and could dance extremely well at 12 when he entered SM). Choreo staples include his iconic "T-Pose", a nod to the Cross, and he very often incorporates the sign of the Cross into his dancing -- but you have to be quick to catch it. Once you see it the first time, you have no trouble spotting it in almost every choreo. He even has input on his set designs. He is a self-admitted perfectionist and workaholic. Taemin is also known for his spectacular live performances. His concerts sell out the first day. He's in charge of all aspects of these concerts and makes sure it's going to be a great show for everyone. One fan favorite song of his is "Heaven" and this performance from his current world tour is a good example of the professionalism, atmosphere, and spellbinding his performances are: ua-cam.com/video/JoGkldI1nuc/v-deo.html (fanmade so should be safe). He has also performed "Heaven" on his custom, Slope-lift stage tilted at a 45-degree angle. The man comes up with the craziest stages. He performed "The Rizzness" hanging upside down from a crane during his "Metamorph" concert! To learn more about him, I suggest the excellent mini-doc, "The Artist: Taemin" ( ua-cam.com/video/m2_MVBxmdyc/v-deo.html ). I hope you will continue to explore his thought-provoking, Avant Garde music, as well as SHINee's vast discography. They are all phenomenal as a group, as well as soloists. They are all extremely talented. SHINee is not limited to any one genre, but as one of the very first experimental groups, they regularly explore all kinds of genres and even blend several together to produce their very signature SHINee sound. Can't wait for Part 2! Thank you for the reaction!
Don't sleep on Shinee. They had a concert in Seoul in May. Their performances of Hard and Juice are really worth checking out. They are known as the Princes of Kpop.
There’s a reason they call Taemin the idol’s idol! He’s been doing this ish for 16 years! 😍 I’m so glad y’all did this DD and I hope this means you’ll be doing a DD of Shinee soon 👀 If you do a part 2 def make sure you check out Advice!!
His company's channel got hacked, that is why his MVs for Sexy in the Air and Horizon (another banger) are not searchable at this moment, but you can watch them by searching BPM Entertainment, going to their channel (ignoring the tesla logo and videos - that is the work of the hackers) and to the playlists, and finally choosing Taemin's playlist.
@@marialantigua5475 Yes. And their channel was hacked for over 2 weeks. It got restored only yesterday. That is why you are able to search for them normally now.
@@marialantigua5475Yes and BPM’s YT channel got hacked and both of Taemin’s recent MVs were not available on YT, so what this person wrote was 100% right. Now the channel got restored and the videos are back.
I enjoyed your reaction a lot! Sexy In the Air and Horizon MVs are down because his new UA-cam channel got hacked, and it’s not fixed yet. These two songs were on the new channel.
LOL I feel like Key because I just rolled my eyes automatically at the Ring Ding Dong suggestion haha I hope they listen to anything else in the 16 years of music than RDD for the love of god haha 🤣
Taemin has been in the industry for more than 16 years as part of the legendary 5-member Kpop group SHINee and he has been a solo artist since 2014. (This year is Taemin's 10th anniversary as a solo artist.) "Guilty" is his title track on his 4th mini Korean solo album. I think "Guilty" is a continuation of the themes surrounding Taemin's previous releases. Particularly connected to his Never Gonna Dance Again trilogy of albums -- "2 Kids", "Criminal" and "Idea" -- and Advice album themes. As Taemin has explained, "Guilty" is about a lover who DOESN'T feel guilty about all the bad things they have done in the relationship and they feel no shame or remorse for the pain and suffering they may have caused the other person. Which, if you connect it to the messages from his previous MVs, this easily could be interpreted as a metaphor for everything Taemin has gone through in his career and life. As an idol, he has been manipulated and controlled his whole life. Debuting at 14 years old, Taemin has lived his entire life in the public eye under a microscope, he is expected to be flawless and perfect, and people are constantly telling him what to do and how he should act, etc. However, now that he has turned 30, I think he is embracing a new chapter in his life where he is saying he is no longer going to allow people to manipulate him and he is officially taking back control. In other words, he's not going to feel guilty any more for being himself and doing what makes him happy. The story in the MV also makes more sense if you pair it with the 2 teaser videos that were released a few days before the MV dropped. In the teasers you will see Taemin being manipulated even more by outside forces and people who literally at one point hand him a gun and force him to shoot something or someone, which is all part of the metaphor that has to do with taking control of his life, etc. If you delve in deep you will see that "Guilty" could be interpreted as his relationship with fame and the different sides of who he is as a person and artist. Everything you see and hear can be thought of as a metaphor for life told using biblical references as an underlying theme showcasing Taemin's Catholic faith. The majority of Taemin's songs and MVs touch on concepts, stories and themes from the Bible, as a metaphor to explain what he has gone through growing up as an idol and the journey he has taken in order to find confidence in and acceptance with who he is as a person and an artist. With Taemin -- and all the members of SHINee -- you will never get the same thing twice. Everything he releases will be a new style and sound and, yet, it will still be very "Taemin". As SM Entertainment's experimental boy group, SHINee are meant to be the first to do almost everything, and they are expected to come up with something new that no one has ever seen or heard before with every release of theirs. As Kpop's trendsetters, the members of SHINee reinvent the industry with every comeback. Taemin is the main dancer and a main vocalist of SHINee. However, because he is a member of SHINee, this means he can do it all. SHINee are known for the fact that there are no longer any fixed roles in their group, the main vocalists can rap and the rappers can fill in as main vocalists at any moment. However, what they are really recognized for is the fact that they are one of the best vocal groups to ever exist. All of the SHINee members are top tier singers and dancers. You may find this hard to believe, but when Taemin debuted as a member of SHINee way back in 2008, he didn't have a whole lot of lines in their songs. People even used to make fun of Taemin's singing and they would say that he was tone deaf and couldn't sing. However, it's sort of a misconception that Taemin "couldn't sing." it wasn't that he couldn't sing, it was just that he debuted when he was so young -- he was only 14 years old -- that his voice hadn't really developed yet and he didn't really have a good grasp of how to use his voice and produce the sounds he wanted with it. So, in the beginning, when he sang, he was often flat or his voice cracked or he was off key or out of tune, etc. And because he was being compared to the other members of SHINee who are all 2 to 4 years older than him, and the other members had such phenomenal voices to start out with, it really made Taemin sound like he was lacking. (SHINee are considered THE premier vocal group that everyone dreams of being as good as.) That's why in SHINee's first few songs Taemin only has a few lines, and most of the time he was just given big solo dance breaks to fill the stage at his parts in the song. However, if he was really tone deaf, he never would have become an SM Idol trainee -- SM would have put him on the dance track and probably steered him toward becoming a backup dancer -- and he definitely would have never become the amazing singer that he is today. As you probably know, someone who is truly tone deaf is physically unable to hear the difference in the notes and is unable to carry a tune. Taemin is considered one of the greatest dancers of all time. He has literally been voted one of the top two BEST dancers in all of Kpop by his peers and industry experts. Literally everyone in the Kpop industry looks up to Taemin and idolizes him. But Taemin really wanted to prove to everyone that he wasn't just a dancer, so he spent a lot of extra time concentrating on vocal lessons and the other SHINee members -- especially Onew and Jonghyun (two of the best vocalists in the industry) -- spent some serious time coaching and mentoring him until he learned what it took to match their vocal range and to use his voice. (For the first year or more after SHINee's debut Taemin spent hours in vocal lessons and he would push himself every day until his nose would bleed because he was so tired and worn out, etc. He practically lived in the training rooms at SM.) The ONLY thing the members of SHINee are not good at is lip syncing, so Taemin, and all the members of SHINee, have specifically trained since their debut, to build stamina and endurance, in order to be able to sing live for 3+ hours straight in concert, all while performing these intense choreographies and still sound flawless. When you watch a live performance, you may be shocked because Taemin and SHINee sound so perfect live even though they are dancing so intensely, but that is why they are so highly respected by everyone. Therefore, when you hear SHINee sing, 95% of the time it will be live. Other Idols and audio sound technicians, etc. who have witnessed the SHINee members performing live are always blown away, because in the parts of the song where most singers would take a break and rely on the backing track vocals to cover their voices so they can catch their breath and recover, this is where the SHINee members actually ramp it up and become their most powerful. In Taemin's live performance you will discover that he sounds even better than in the recorded version, all while dancing full out. What makes SHINee so great is that even if they are singing acapella while performing this high energy choreography, they sound just as amazing. That's why, even as rookies, senior artists would stop what they were doing to watch SHINee's rehearsals on music programs because SHINee's vocal talent is that impressive. When SHINee debuted, they were the first group to demonstrate how it was possible to sing live while performing complex choreography and still maintain stable vocals. Before SHINee, the thought within the industry was that it wasn't possible to sing live and also perform high intensity choreography at the same time. At that time, most groups would either sing live and have simple choreography, or they would have crazy cool choreography, but lip sync to their recorded vocals. SHINee completely changed the Kpop industry and upped the standard of what it meant to be an idol singer. Taemin -- and SHINee -- live is unmatched. It's literally referred to as the SHINee standard. It's the standard that all other groups strive to reach, and SHINee are the vocalists that all other artists try to emulate. Now, if you haven't already, you need to check out Taemin's Killing Voice performance. I have a feeling when you watch his Killing Voice you will find that hearing him sing "Guilty," as well as his other songs, live that you will be even more impressed. There is a reason why Taemin is like none other.
Taemin is known for his popping, locking and ticking. He is considered an expert at being able to isolate every muscle and joint in his body and move each part of his body independently. As you may know, "rizz" is a pop culture term that means charisma and it describes a person's ability to charm people and make them fall for them, etc. Therefore, in his song Taemin is talking about how he has the "Rizzness" to make you pay attention to him. But he's not being cocky, I think he's being facetious. The message within the song is Taemin telling people that "no matter who you think I am or your opinion of who I should be or what I should or shouldn't do, you better be paying attention because I am going to be unapologetically ME." In other words, what you will see is unlike anything you have ever seen before. He is supposed to give off this "unsettled" or "creepy" feeling because it matches the theme of his songs and the story that he is telling in the MV. Everything he does is designed to enhance the story or message in the song. Wait until you see Taemin perform "The Rizzness" live. You think it was amazing in the MV, well it's even more unbelievable when you see him do it live. Live is where the SHINee members truly Shine and Taemin exudes command of the stage. He is considered one of the greatest dancers and performers of all time. Literally everyone in the Kpop industry looks up to him and idolizes him. There is even a well-known phrase in the Kpop industry, TIMRM (Taemindol) -- "Taemin is my role model" -- that is associated with him, because so many idols and people in general say that he is the reason why they wanted to become a singer and/or dancer. Taemin's talents are one reason why SHINee are one of the top groups in the industry and why they have such legendary status. SHINee is made up of some of the absolute best singers, dancers and performers in the entire industry. Not only is Taemin an amazing dancer but, because he is a member of SHINee, he is also a top tier vocalist, who can sing live while performing intricate choreography like this and sound even better live than the studio recording. Although, what they are really recognized for is that they are one of the best vocal groups to ever exist. All of the SHINee members are top tier singers and dancers. Prior to becoming a trainee with SM at the age of 11, Taemin had no formal dance training. He started out as a self-taught popper and locker who learned to dance by copying dancers on TV, and, even then, as a trainee it was clear his skills as a dancer went far beyond the average dancer. He said he thought dancers like Kpop solo artist Bi Rain and Michael Jackson were cool, so he would try and copy their moves. He debuted as the main dancer of SHINee in 2008 at the age of 14 -- so he had about 3 years of training as a dancer once he became a trainee. Therefore, most of what you see is just natural talent and an unbelievable amount of dedication. Taemin has put in a lot of effort to become the magnificent and unique performer and person that we know him as today. But there really is no one that pushes him or holds him to a higher standard than himself. He has said that he really has never taken a true vacation since he was a trainee and he doesn't know what to do if he isn't constantly working and training. It's said that if Taemin's dance looks easy then it's actually really difficult and if it looks extremely difficult then it's even harder than you imagine. No one moves the way he does and even his backup dancers struggle to keep up with him. Choreographers say he is constantly asking them to make the choreography more difficult and he is never satisfied until the difficulty level is off the charts. As Taemin has said, there has never been anything that has come easy to him and he has only gotten to where he is today because he has worked hard to accomplish everything. He is constantly pushing himself to become the best of the best in everything he does. (Which is one of the reasons why he decided to leave SM earlier this year after 16 years and move to Big Planet Made for his solo career. He wanted to challenge himself and continue to push himself to keep getting better, etc.) Taemin has said, he has worked his entire career to create a style of dance that is unlike anything in the Kpop industry. And I would argue that that now extends to the entire industry of dance. No matter how skilled of a dancer and performer someone is, no one can execute the moves the way Taemin does it. Taemin will always be uniquely Taemin in every way.
You need to react to Move, it's the most iconic Taemin song by far! and other bangers are Criminal, Want, Pinocchio (ft Bewhy), Drip Drop, Advice and Famous, for a Deep Dive pt 2😌
the king💎Taemin is a living legend of k-pop.For me it's art in motion.Taemin made his debut in 2008 at 14 years old with shinee(shinee is a legendary group of k-pop and I make history..their discography still inspires 3-4 and 5 generation groups) and in 2014 with danger he debuted as a soloist. Taemin has a very large and varied discography as a soloist. I recommend you see his live performance of sexuality, rise+soldier, just me and you (beyond live stage).
For deep dive 2,3,4,5,6 😅🫣 1- Move - criminal - advice - horizon 2- Danger - sayonara hitori (japanese) - 2 kids - want 3- Ace - press your number - drip drop - flame of love (japanese) 4- Thirsty - day and night - under my skin (japanese) - black rose 5- Famous (japanese) - just me and you- think of you- heaven All the songs have MV or performance videos except heaven there is a live performance. He has many Bside that have great live performances and also killing voice. Taemin's album Eternal has a double title, which is Sexy in the Air and Horizon, They both have MVs Taemin's channel and BPM channel were hacked a few days ago and so far the company is trying with UA-cam to return the channel but they stated that the account will be transferred due to severe damage, We hope to return with all content as soon as possible. You can watch Sexy in the Air and Horizon MVs on a Korean app that I can't mention here because UA-cam will delete my comment.😅 If you search for BPM on UA-cam, the channel will appear, and if you go to the playlists, you will find taemin playlists and the MVs Taemin is the youngest member of SHINee and the second oldest member of SuperM. Taemin in 2 Groups, Also a successful soloist.. Thanks 🤍💎🩵
❤️🔥Taemin is a genius, there are no others like him and there will never be!🌟 I get goosebumps every time I see this performance. Eunhyuk from Super Junior correctly said that no one can sing Guilty and dance Guilty anymore, as well as any other songs by Taemin. Because this is only possible if you are Taemin, others will not succeed, it is impossible to copy, do better and convey the same charisma and greatness of his talent. Other companies like SM Entertainment Entertainment and Hybe know this and therefore interfere with Taemin and want to destroy his reputation, interfere with his promotion. But they only sign up for the fact that they are afraid of him. Afraid of him as a strong solo competitor to their solo projects. That is why there is a constant hacking of UA-cam and Twitter during the promotion of the album, world tour. SM cooperates with Hybe promoting only new groups, in fact they do not need SHINEE anymore, they were the ones who did not want to approve SHINEE's album in 2024 and Minho has already said that there will be no comeback in 2025 either. SM is deliberately dragging out time, expecting the anger of fans and therefore it is very convenient to shift all the blame now to Taemin. Accusing him of promoting solo and a world tour, which they did not give him all these 10 years of solo! They will not do a world tour for SHINee, never in their life. Hybe writes songs for Aespa, NCT, RIIZE and most likely they will go on a world tour. But not SHINEE. Taemin understood that with betrayal, when his song Guilty was not allowed to him to sing himself and was given to Yeonjun from TxT to sing at the Golden Disc awards, which belongs to Hybe and now for Nicki Enhypen was given Guilty. We still haven't seen the announced duet a month later, the broadcast is endlessly postponed. But you can see from the fancams. That the song was sung by Niki alone again. They are doing everything to belittle Taemin and show that Guilty is such a simple song, that every idol can pull and sing these high and beautiful notes (under a fangram, as they have already shown us twice) and everyone can dance to it, like there is nothing special in this song. (But they can't even dance as smoothly and gracefully) But they choose the song Guilty to promote those who will then debut solo with them. Just think, analyze all the situations that have been happening since November 17, 2023.
My favorite reactors & my taemin?? So happy u discovered him. He’s IS art. You’ll see why they call him the idol’s idol as you discover more of his content. I’d list songs for u to checkout but it’s easier to just say ‘his entire discography’ Looking forward to more Taemin reactions ❤
Yes I can see how Taemin reminds you of Ten they are such great dancers! Also Taemin is one of Ten's role models, and they are actually in a group together! If y'all can pls react to SuperM! It won't take you long to go through their MV's cause they don't have a lot lol
My Ult of Ults, THE ARTIST, Taemin. Your expressions said it all! BTW Ten and Taemin were in a group together called SUPERM (along with Baekhyun, Kai, Mark, Taeyong, and Lucas). For the next deep dive, the iconic MOVE is highly suggested.
"Sexy in the Air" and *"Horizon" are Taemin's double lead tracks on his 5th mini Korean solo album named Eternal, and first release under his new company Big Planet Made as a soloist. (As a member of SHINee, he is still under SM Entertainment.) Although his studio Choom performance was amazing, and everyone should see Taemin perform live, you also should check out the MV as well. *If you haven't seen and heard "Horizon" yet, I recommend you check out that one next. For "Sexy in the Air" what you are hearing is considered Boom Bap music style. And yes, the song is called "Sexy (sex) is in the Air," so what you are hearing is exactly what you think it is. The title and lyrics say "sexy" because it needs to be censored in order to be shown on network TV in Korea and for music shows, etc. I also think he could be saying "Sexy's in the air." (Taemin is 31 years old, so he's not a little kid anymore. :D) Taemin has released at least one song or album -- most of the time way more than just one -- as part of SHINee, as a member of a project group, as a solo artist or as a member of SuperM every year since SHINee's debut. (Except for 2022 because he was on hiatus while he carried out his public service duties as part of his military requirements.) Therefore, including his full-length albums, mini albums, and singles, etc., as well as his Japanese albums, Taemin has more than a dozen solo albums. Not to mention the 2 albums he has as a member of SuperM. And on top of all that, SHINee currently has 14 full-length Korean and Japanese albums, just as many repackaged albums, numerous mini albums, etc. Plus, he has held many solo concert tours -- he is currently on his first solo world tour (before this all his concert tours were all Japanese/Asian tours) -- as well as a world tour as a member of SuperM, and SHINee has held more than 100 concerts within 6 world tours so far. You have a TON to catch up on. :D SHINee were designed to be SM Entertainment's experimental boy group, so everything they do -- including the members' solo work -- is meant to be the first, and they are expected to create the trend. With every new song the SHINee members release, it's supposed to be different than the last, so you will never hear the same style or sound from Taemin. But it will somehow always have a very Taemin-like feel. With every release that the SHINee members have, they intentionally flip the script and change things up in the Kpop industry. That's why, when any of the members of SHINee make a comeback, everyone pays attention because they are looking to the members of SHINee to show them what the industry's next song style and dance trend will be. When the SHINee members do something, the industry takes note and follows suit. Just wait until you see and hear Taemin and SHINee perform live. SHINee are also known for their live vocals and amazing dancing. They have been nicknamed CD-INee or CD-eaters because they sound just as good live, if not better, than they do recorded. The SHINee members always sings live. The ONLY thing they are not good at is lip syncing, so they avoid it at all costs. Therefore, when you hear any of the members of SHINee singing, 95% of the time it will be live. It's a running joke between the fans and the members that when the SHINee members lip syncs you can tell because it's very obvious. In other words, unless Taemin is required to lip sync for a specific reason, he will always sing live. He has trained his entire career to build endurance and stamina in order to be able to sing live and maintain stable vocals all while performing extremely complex choreography for more than 3 hours straight in concert. That's why Taemin -- and SHINee -- is so highly respected among his peers.
If you decide to do another video with more Taemin, check out the Sexy in the Air mv! It’s back up. The BPM (new company Taemin is under) yt channel was the victim of a hacking attack that made the video unavailable :( I also recommend looking at Criminal, Advice, Move, Want and Danger! Danger was his solo debut and Move was the next one, they’re pretty iconic. I would say Want, Criminal, and Advice were some songs that really solidified his style (even though we could already see the new stuff he was bringing to the table just with Danger lol)
Taemin is king....of dance in kpop. So much great music, concepts, ideas....Guilty is such a favorite when it first dropped, regardless of subject matter (about abuse, or CA, SA) He is such an influential artist, I look forward to anything he releases. And yes, he has ALOT of music out there, you're just discovering this amazing talent now. 💙🌺
Taemin pronounces Idea the way you hear him saying it in his song "Idea" because he is pronouncing it like the Greek word idéa, and not like the English pronunciation. The song is based on the Greek philosopher Plato’s theory of Ideas. Plato believed that an "Idea" is an ultimate reality. Every form has an idea, an image, or standard set for it and Plato believed that these ideas were eternal. For example, when talking about a human, everyone has an image, an ideal type of human according to Plato and once defined that description or thought is constant and never changing. In "Idea" Taemin is disagreeing with Plato's theory and he is saying that the world is not ruled by one ultimate definition of something or that there isn't only one voice. Taemin is saying he has many voices and thoughts influencing him. If he were to conform to only one way of doing something -- i.e., if he listened to everyone who told him there was only one way to be a Kpop Idol and he needed to do everything the traditional cookiecutter way -- then that would be like killing his spirit and everything that makes him who he is. Hence the lines in the song that say, "Killing me softly." Fun fact: The female voice you hear saying "Killing me softly" is BoA. She is a solo artist also under SM Entertainment, and she is Taemin's highly respected senior, who debuted with SM in 2000 at the age of 13 and, now after more than 24 years, she is known as one of the senior-most members of the industry. BoA is legend. Some have said, and I have to agree, that "Idea" is a metaphor for the way Taemin sees his career. He loves what he does, almost to the point of obsession -- like "my messiah" he is drawn to it and can't help worship it -- he practically needs to dance and perform to survive. But, at the same time, it pretty much controls his life. Living as an Idol means everything he does is done in the public eye, and he will never be able to live a normal life -- his "dangerous dream" that is engulfing him and "swallowing him" up. The stress and constant demand for perfection he feels may be slowly "Killing me softly," etc. I particularly like the verse in "Idea" that says: "The blue light, When you and I face each other, Stained in it, All one's feelings, It's an infinite range, In my world, Most dazzling,The absolute value of you, My my IDEA." These lines seem to be talking about Taemin's fans. SHINee's fan color is pearl aqua, so the blue light you see in the MV and the blue light he talks about in the lyrics of "Idea," makes me think he is referring to the impact and influence the fans have had on everything he has done in his career. And although he loves and appreciates us, it has not come without a few sacrifices and negative aspects as well. The mutual love and respect between Taemin and the fans also has added a lot of extra pressure on him because he always wants to give people his absolute best and he is constantly trying to live up to an impossible standard of self-imposed flawlessness. "Idea" is the third part of Taemin's Never Gonna Dance Again album, which is part of a trilogy. The story starts out with his prologue "2 Kids," and continues with "Criminal," which is part of Act 1 of the album. "Idea" is part of Act 2 of the album and it brings the whole concept full circle. And now his follow up release "Advice" has become the epilogue to the story. Taemin said in an interview: "The two acts put together tell a story. '2 Kids’ is about growing pains and depicts the story prior to the story in the album. You can think of '2 Kids' as a teaser before the movie called 'Never Gonna Dance Again.' Act 1 shows a new side of me. I think it’ll be something you’ve never seen in K-pop before. And Act 2 is the end-all-be-all. It’s the ultimate level of intensity. 'Never Gonna Dance Again’ was originally the name of the concept. Because it doesn’t make sense for me to stop dancing. But I wanted to give a sense of rebellion with the irony of the title.” This album's whole concept is a metaphor for his life and career. With every release from this album, the concept was designed to be darker then the last. In "2 Kids" he was emotionally and physically beating himself up with regrets. In "Criminal" he was living in a toxic relationship. In "Idea" he takes the theme one step further, and says that even though it was my idea and my plan to live this life, nothing comes without a price, and because of that need for perfection, any chance of being average or living a regular life is pretty much dead. Taemin has sacrificed everything to become the magnificent and unique performer and person that we know him as today. If you are impressed with Taemin's dancing, just wait until you see his dance practice video for "Idea." You will be even more blown away. You should also see Taemin's "Idea" dance tutorial video where he teaches Haechan from NCT and Ten from WayV/SuperM. the choreography and explains the concept and story behind some of the moves. As I said, Taemin is on a whole other level.
It's funny that you should mention Ten he's cited Taemin as one of his biggest role models, and his dancing is definitely inspired and influenced by Taemin's. Also fun fact, they were in a group called SuperM together!
The vocals on guilty is one my fav taemin songs , i agree with you on the bridge into final chorus. And him and hyunjin(stray kids) and kai (exo) i view all of them as moving peices of art. Their dancing abilities is envy worthy
Sexy in the Air video was not really "removed," but deleted by hackers :( Taemin left SM Entertainment, and it was the first release on the new label. Well that label had their entire existence hacked on youtube. Meaning, their main label account and every single artist's profile. Taemin's profile got hit the worst, with the videos deleted by the hackers and youtube isn't able to restore his channel. Very sad for his first release after leaving SM, but we know the king is unbothered. We'll stream the shi*t out of it when it's uploaded to the new account soon.
Yaaall gotta see Taemin live. One of the performers who I don't mind lipsinging tbh he's that great of a performer. If you enjoyed Guilty, I think you'll like Changmin's Devil. Another song that gave me the same feeling as Guilty.
Since I became a fan of the group SuperM, which is another group Taemin is a part of along with Ten, Lucas, Mark (NCT), Taeyong (NCT), Kai & Baekhyun from EXO. It introduced me to all the guy groups ShineE, NCT (127 & Way V), & EXO and I heard about Taemin & caught my ear about him is that his dancing is MJ inspired and I can see it as someone that listened to MJ growing as a kid. It’s hard which ones my favorite but my favorites from the ones you guys react is Sexy in the Air or IDEA. I haven’t heard his latest mini album Eternal & Guilty but the main title tracks. I really do like a lot of his B-sides, specially from the “Never gonna dance again” albums but one thing for sure he is my top favorite solo artist in Korea hand down! Just by his creative artistry I would so like to know how that comes about & if I ever get to meet him is ask the question, & listen to how his brain works coming up with all the Choreo to the message behind his songs throughout his career. He’s definitely a legend in his field for sure & well respected by older & newer groups
He has si many great sings and videos! A lot of people have already listed out many others to check out. I'd say also check out his song and MV "Advice". Also, fun fact, he's apart of SuperM with Baekhyun, Kai, Ten, Taeyong, Mark, and Lucas
2:09 that's a statement for all of SHINee's fashion throughout the years. That was kinda their thing, to be very bold and fashion-forward, and they've absolutely rocked stuff for 16 years that probably no one else could. And Taemin is the only one who can make a song called The Rizzness and it's actually good. Still mildly dying of cringe though, but we love our man. You got it right, "SHINee" is shiny, like shy knee.
No waayyyyy 😂 I was 💀 at 18:00 And now, I can’t wait for the rest of this series 😮 I’m excited Definitely need to watch, Advice & Move, that’s another bop Also the dance practices for Advice & Idea are nuts so y’all should do that😂 but cross that bridge when you get there.
Thanks so much for this reaction! Taemin is just incredible, the ace of aces and the idol of idols! His body control is insane and his vocals are one of my favourites in kpop. I hope you get to check out more, like Criminal, Advice, Famous, Sayonara Hitori. Yes, Taemin is from SHINee 💙 they are a phenomenal group and hugely influential in the industry, together and all as soloists. SHINee is known for their insane performances, live vocals and intense choreography! I hope you get a chance to deep dive into them too! It's pronounced like 'shiny', like you said, and it comes from shine plus the suffix -ee which means to receive (as opposed to like -er to do/give), so they 'receive shine/light' 👑 I'd recommend songs like Replay (maybe the best debut of all time), View, Hard, Lucifer, Sherlock, An Encore, Selene 6.23. Also check out some live performances, anything from the SWC4 or SWC5 concerts (easily found on yt) will blow you away!
His background dancers are industries best choreographers.....Need to react to ADVICE,CRIMINAL, WANT, 2 KIDS ,FAMOUS,DRIP DROP, DANGER edit; the legendary song MOVE Black rose too
I think Sexy In the Air MV was taken down because the label's channel was hacked during the US presidential debate 😅 it's his first solo comeback with his new label BPM.
yes!! definitely need a vol.2, also i was wondering if you guys were ever into watching Boys Planet? it's an idol survival show where the group ZEROBASEONE (ZB1) was created and it's one of my all time favorite survival shows i'd probably pay to see you guys watch it tbh
I’m so happy you loved The Rizzness. It doesn’t get enough love but it’s my 2nd fav Taemin song behind Advice… which you need to react to. Advice, Want, Danger, Sayonara Hitori …my goodness he has so many good ones. His new company’s YT. Channel got hacked. So they didn’t take it down on purpose. Hopefully we’ll get it back soon.
Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. Yes, Taemin is the maknae of Shinee. He is the main dancer in the group. But he can rap too and has great vocals as well. Love Idea. So good. Catchy. The high vocal was Boa. She a famous singer as well and part of the same company as him. I think Ten looks up to Taemin and studied him as a trainee. So seeing similarities is a given. Taemin inspired a lot of trainees. Guilty is a fav. He dropped that after he came back from the military. He was doing civil service for 2 yrs and had mental health issues in the military. Taemin's songs have a lot of layers. They go deep. They are not easy to figure out. He reflects on himself a lot. The Rizzness is from the same album as Guilty. Here he is showing his demon and angel personas. And he unapologetically states he is still the Ace! Taemin was 14yo when he debuted in Shinee. He has been around 15/16yrs. He is a true performer. This song was a grower for me. Yes, he was rapping. i love seeing him explore rap more within his discography. Sexy in the Air had the MV taken down because the account was hacked. Everything is back and as it should be so pls check it out. Taemin is with a new smaller label for his solo stuff now. He left his old label as a solo artists duo to issues. So glad u liked all the songs u heard so far. Taemin actually has the most songs as a solo artist 80+. King! Pls check out more like Move, Want, Sayonara Hitori/Goodbye, 2 Kids, The Feeling, Danger(debut), etc . For Shinee I suggest the following songs to check out Hard and Juice. =0] Hugs. -NY USA 2019 Army💟
Taemin is Art... The Idol's Idol... You all need to do a SHINee deep dive! You'll love ALL 5 members! And all their Solo's are amazing! A group of all-rounders.
yess taemin ❤️! I recommend adding a ballad maybe if there’s a part 2? something slower to showcase his insane duality and vocal range~ maybe Blue, Rise, sayonara hitori ? (For live performances, solider/rise is exceptional)
A Taemin deep dive without Advice?! Hopefully in part 2…
Right! They did all the newer ones but I think the older ones are a little better.
I personally love Press your number, Want, Advice and the iconic Move
Thanks for Doing Taemin Deep Dive He is Iconic, My all Time Favourite Taemin Song Is Guilty, So Next Would Recommend Advice, Move ,Criminal And Want, But He Has A Huge Discography as He's Been Solo Artist for 10 years Now, Just Love Him ❤❤❤
I WAS SHOOK WHEN I SAW IT WASN'T THERE
Uppp
I consider Guilty to be a masterpiece, a super personal work of the highest caliber. Taemin is truly an unmatched artist.
One of if not his BEST release EVER
100% agree
Move, Criminal, Want, Danger for deep dive 2 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Edit: +Advice! Omg I can't believe I didn't put it here the first time
Yeah that's what I'm saying 😌
Thissss
Yess this a good list !!
not many people say it but... HEAVEN!!!! its heavenly lmaooo
YESSS
Literally ONLY Taemin can pull off a song called The Rizzness. Our King of solos 🫡
Taemin is legendary in the industry, you can see why
Amazing
Don't sleep on Shinee. They had a concert in Seoul in May. Their performances of Hard and Juice are really worth checking out. They are known as the Princes of Kpop.
There’s a reason they call Taemin the idol’s idol! He’s been doing this ish for 16 years! 😍 I’m so glad y’all did this DD and I hope this means you’ll be doing a DD of Shinee soon 👀
If you do a part 2 def make sure you check out Advice!!
Taemin is so perfect, visual, vocal , dance and not forgetting his cuteness.
Yesssss!!!! Mr. Lee Taemin, king of K-pop
No my love 😂 his new solo videos are in bpm ent because his solo contract with sm ended and he signed to bpm.
@@marialantigua5475 Yes. And their channel was hacked for over 2 weeks. It got restored only yesterday. That is why you are able to search for them normally now.
@@marialantigua5475 But it's true that BPM got hacked and you couldn't see his videos I think they are back up now
@@marialantigua5475Yes and BPM’s YT channel got hacked and both of Taemin’s recent MVs were not available on YT, so what this person wrote was 100% right. Now the channel got restored and the videos are back.
I wonder why hackers messed up with BPM Channel...
I enjoyed your reaction a lot! Sexy In the Air and Horizon MVs are down because his new UA-cam channel got hacked, and it’s not fixed yet. These two songs were on the new channel.
I hate the word rizz with a passion. That being said, I've listened to the rizzness so much that it was in my most played song in November
Help same
Yes, more Taemin please!! He’s amazing.
Petition for a Shinee Deepdive
Please, I need to see them react to Ring Ding Dong
He practically lived in the training rooms at SM.)
The ONLY thing the members of SHINee are not good at is lip syncing, so Taemin, and all the members of SHINee, have specifically trained since their debut, to build stamina and endurance, in order to be able to sing live for 3+ hours straight in concert, all while performing these intense choreographies and still sound flawless.
The king of k-pop: Taemin! ❤
Guilty is honestly the very expression of art and Taemin as an artist. He honestly is dance.
One of my favourite soloists , he is insanely talented
I happy to see y'all made it to Taemin. Hopefully, Shinee will be next because the group is top tier as well.
I love Taemin!
Taemin and Ten are actually friends! They are also in a group called SuperM together alongside some EXO and NCT members.
For deep dive 2,3,4,5,6 😅🫣
1- Move - criminal - advice - horizon
2- Danger - sayonara hitori (japanese) - 2 kids - want
3- Ace - press your number - drip drop - flame of love (japanese)
4- Thirsty - day and night - under my skin (japanese) - black rose
5- Famous (japanese) - just me and you- think of you- heaven
All the songs have MV or performance videos except heaven there is a live performance.
He has many Bside that have great live performances and also killing voice.
Taemin's album Eternal has a double title, which is Sexy in the Air and Horizon, They both have MVs
Taemin's channel and BPM channel were hacked a few days ago and so far the company is trying with UA-cam to return the channel but they stated that the account will be transferred due to severe damage, We hope to return with all content as soon as possible.
You can watch Sexy in the Air and Horizon MVs on a Korean app that I can't mention here because UA-cam will delete my comment.😅
If you search for BPM on UA-cam, the channel will appear, and if you go to the playlists, you will find taemin playlists and the MVs
Taemin is the youngest member of SHINee and the second oldest member of SuperM. Taemin in 2 Groups, Also a successful soloist..
Thanks 🤍💎🩵
The BPM channel is back and you can watch Sexy in the Air and Horizon MVs
Taemin also gives me that cinematic music experience. His voice is like heaven.
He's sick. More great songs to come!
TAEMIN SUPREMACÍA del KPOP. IDOLO de ÍDOLOS .MARAVILLOSO ARTISTA. ❤
Waiting for a SHINee deep dive 🙏🏼💎
Taemin is the King of Kpop! My absolute favorite
The King👑 LEE TAEMIN
The art is Taemin ❤️💎👑
Thank you for reacting to Taemin, the idols’ idol!
My favorite reactors & my taemin?? So happy u discovered him. He’s IS art. You’ll see why they call him the idol’s idol as you discover more of his content. I’d list songs for u to checkout but it’s easier to just say ‘his entire discography’
Looking forward to more Taemin reactions ❤
omg i hope theres Adivce, Criminal and Move on the next one , ty for reacting!!
And Want
my king Taemin❤❤❤❤
KING OF K-Pop 👑
Your reactions are remarkable, please react to more Taemin. You will really enjoy his music.
Yes I can see how Taemin reminds you of Ten they are such great dancers! Also Taemin is one of Ten's role models, and they are actually in a group together! If y'all can pls react to SuperM! It won't take you long to go through their MV's cause they don't have a lot lol
BPM's channel was hacked and now they've fixed the problem. Now you can check his latest mvs Sexy in the air and Horizon there.
Hi, thank you for the reaction, you have vol.2??? Advice, Criminal, Move, Want and more are masterpieces too :)
(As a member of SHINee, he is still under SM Entertainment.)
Although his studio Choom performance was amazing, and everyone should see Taemin perform live, you also should check out the MV as well.
Taemin has released at least one song or album -- most of the time way more than just one -- as part of SHINee, as a member of a project group, as a solo artist or as a member of SuperM every year since SHINee's debut. :D
SHINee were designed to be SM Entertainment's experimental boy group, so everything they do -- including the members' solo work -- is meant to be the first, and they are expected to create the trend.
King of kpop🫡
Hence the lines in the song that say, "Killing me softly."
Fun fact: The female voice you hear saying "Killing me softly" is BoA.
But I wanted to give a sense of rebellion with the irony of the title.”
This album's whole concept is a metaphor for his life and career.
15+ years in the game! Nobody does it like Taemin!
oh my god part 2 plzzz
Advise, danger, want,move,,,
he really had a religious experience listening to Guilty i'm screaming
Taemin is such a legend
THE KING
you cant do a Taemin deep dive without Move, Criminal, and Advice! 😭😭
And Want
Subbed, liked and hit your bell for the GOD of kpop taemin. More taemin pleeeeease I'm here for it.
great reaction guys 🙃🤗
I love how everyone is in the comments writing dissertations on Taemin. I've learned so much. Thanks everyone. 😊
It's funny that you should mention Ten he's cited Taemin as one of his biggest role models, and his dancing is definitely inspired and influenced by Taemin's. Also fun fact, they were in a group called SuperM together!
When you get around to a part 2 you MUST do MOVE, it literally revolutionized kpop. Also Criminal is sooo good
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS REACTION I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR AGES I WANTED TO CRY WHEN I SAW THE TITLE
The vocals on guilty is one my fav taemin songs , i agree with you on the bridge into final chorus. And him and hyunjin(stray kids) and kai (exo) i view all of them as moving peices of art. Their dancing abilities is envy worthy
Guilty lessgo 🔥
Sexy in the Air video was not really "removed," but deleted by hackers :(
Taemin left SM Entertainment, and it was the first release on the new label.
Ace of Aces!!!!! You guys need to check out Move, Advice, Want, Criminal, Me and You, and Famous for the next deep dive
Once you TAEM-in you can't TAEM-out 😊
For Vol. 2 I strongly recommend Move, Advice, and Criminal. Taemin is a dancing deity - an idol that idols idolize.
The best and greatest solo singer in Kpop 🔥❤️
TAEMIN is the different level forever
IDOL of idols
ACE of aces
THE KING
Taemin is everyones father on kpop basically
AAAAAAHHHHHH YESSSSS KING TAEMIN
More Taemin ❤ Taemin was in SuperM with Ten!
No waayyyyy 😂 I was 💀 at 18:00
And now, I can’t wait for the rest of this series 😮 I’m excited
Definitely need to watch, Advice & Move, that’s another bop
Also the dance practices for Advice & Idea are nuts so y’all should do that😂 but cross that bridge when you get there.
Ahhh finally!!
Taemin ❤️💎👑
Thanks so much for this reaction! Taemin is just incredible, the ace of aces and the idol of idols! His body control is insane and his vocals are one of my favourites in kpop. I hope you get to check out more, like Criminal, Advice, Famous, Sayonara Hitori.
Yes, Taemin is from SHINee 💙 they are a phenomenal group and hugely influential in the industry, together and all as soloists. SHINee is known for their insane performances, live vocals and intense choreography! I hope you get a chance to deep dive into them too! It's pronounced like 'shiny', like you said, and it comes from shine plus the suffix -ee which means to receive (as opposed to like -er to do/give), so they 'receive shine/light' 👑
I'd recommend songs like Replay (maybe the best debut of all time), View, Hard, Lucifer, Sherlock, An Encore, Selene 6.23. Also check out some live performances, anything from the SWC4 or SWC5 concerts (easily found on yt) will blow you away!
I loved your reactions so much! Looking forward to part 2!
One of the greatest ever, nothing else to say
Taemin & Ten were in Super M together ❤❤❤
His background dancers are industries best choreographers.....Need to react to ADVICE,CRIMINAL, WANT, 2 KIDS ,FAMOUS,DRIP DROP, DANGER
edit; the legendary song MOVE
Black rose too
I think Sexy In the Air MV was taken down because the label's channel was hacked during the US presidential debate 😅 it's his first solo comeback with his new label BPM.
😲
It wasn’t during presidential debate, it was couple of days before and now both videos and BPM channel are back on YT.
Thirsty & Sayonara Hitomi ❤
And watch Shinee.
I recommend Advice MV
BPM and Taemin's BPM channel are back up now so you can now see the Sexy in the Air and Horizon MVs.
14:24 😂😂😂Omg im dying of laughter as well as your speechless reactions Lol That is what we call the TAEMIN EFFECT.
yes!! definitely need a vol.2, also i was wondering if you guys were ever into watching Boys Planet? it's an idol survival show where the group ZEROBASEONE (ZB1) was created and it's one of my all time favorite survival shows i'd probably pay to see you guys watch it tbh
Tnk u guys
Love taemin reactions ❤❤❤
If possible pls add soldier, rise and sexuality, live performance..I am blown away everytime I watch it..
Bro on the right’s laugh is infectious!!!!
DO MORE DO MORE
Hi, i am back. =0] Hugs. -NY USA 2019 Army💟
i love ur deep dives so bad please don’t die
Taemin is Art... The Idol's Idol...
You all need to do a SHINee deep dive! You'll love ALL 5 members! And all their Solo's are amazing! A group of all-rounders.
Taemin 🇵🇪❤️
yess taemin ❤️! I recommend adding a ballad maybe if there’s a part 2? something slower to showcase his insane duality and vocal range~ maybe Blue, Rise, sayonara hitori ? (For live performances, solider/rise is exceptional)
Gracias por reaccionar a ese gran artista q es Taemin, su discografía es muy versátil, les sugiero se sumerjan en ella no se van a decepcionar.
