Realising I haven't recorded a towel wash in the Casatta since I brought her back out again, here is the one I did today.
a JUMBO towel wash, at the maximum 5kg capacity of this machine (the Washer Dryers were 5.5kg, Washers were 5kg until the WMAs came out). To add, I use an American combination of Dreft by Pampers HE Powder and Downy (Lenor) Infusions Botanical Mist Fabric Conditioner, with the addition of Dettol Laundry Cleanser.
Pretty impressed for a full load with 2x heavy bath sheets included, how well this machine handled it. Some entertaining sudslocks and waterlocks too.

Haha yes! Surprisingly balanced for a big load. Any smaller, I think we'd have seen a very different Cassandra lol 😂

Why you Don't just say towel wash instead of American towel wash?? Is there difference between American and other towels? (Just a question) ;)
Because it’s to do with the American detergent being used. Not to do with the towels.

Just a question- I'm not familiar with Hotpoints as they are not a product for me- but is that slow distribution at drain "normal" it seems very slow and laboured?
Yes that slow 'building up' distribution drain is normal for old hotpoints before 2000 and it is designed to be slow so it can mean more of a chance of an even balanced load for when it goes into spin mode
Yeah, since the 18-series they have done "Distribution-Drains", however through the ranges, it eventually slowed down. The 95s having a fast launch into distribution, but the WM-range really slowed it down. This late range, the "Vogues" having it slowed right down and much longer to distribute. The "up and down" speed is the machine balancing the load out, personally from experience it never really works lmao

Nope, that’s all to do with how you load it. Any machine has the ability to ball stuff up. It isn’t just Hotpoint that do it. For instance Indesit with their weird balancing system balled everything up.
In fact, I think more of an issue is newer models such as Beko who rather than ball stuff up, gash their doors on spin because they don’t take time to balance. And nope no problems with creasing either
