Hi Guys, I bought a Topdon Artilink 400 obd scanner and it works great with my Ducato - about £40 on Amazon.
Another idea would be to try some Wynns dpf and injector cleaner, cheap and worked well on my sons VW polo diesel. There is a spray which you put through the engine air intake and one that you add to the diesel. Good luck
Thanks Rob great information appreciated 👌🙏🏨🚍
Poor guy ,
Hope your van is okay mate,
Take time to relax and un stress yourself.
We're in St Ives now. Magnificant weather. So busy here.
Excellent Brian enjoy 💯🚍🏨❤️❤️
@@MOHOTELADVENTURES 1st time in Cornwall. Hope you're getting along okay.
You’ve done well considering the stress your under !!!!
@@stuartgillies8307 not to bad Stuart considering 🙈🏨🚍💯👌
Not a good day, hope you get home without too much more stress.
Many thanks 🙏 🚍🏨👌
I may be asking a dumb question but don’t you have any European breakdown cover? Not that it helped us much this year! Our engine management light came on has we were leaving for the ferry, we made it to Canterbury parked up and phoned the RAC who refused to come out saying it was only a warning light and if we broke down we were covered, take it to a garage??? WE continued around France and it eventually went out with no loss of power i believe it was DPF related but have it booked in at a garage so i can get the faults read. All the best with your onward journey and i hope you get the van sorted soon.
Park. Up for the day and chill out
We are still moving which is a good thing, hopefully it will continue 👌🚍🏨💯
Cheers Wayne 🏨🚍💯
Just thought. Open the bonnet, expose the 4 leads to the injectors (take off the cover at the front) bandwidth the engine running wiggle the leads one at a time with someone watching the engine light. If one (or more) leads being wriggled or moved makes the engine "pick up" or "miss" or the engine light go off and back on, its that! Regular fault in fiats. Wiring loom too short and the vibration and shortness opens the connection so that it "missfires" If that is the case, cabletie the lead to a fuel pipe in a place that runs well toll you get home. I went for weeks like that in France no problem. If it's that come back to me before paying for an expensive repair. I did it myself for pennies.
Thanks so much Sue for your comment really appreciated, hopefully can get this thing on the diagnostics soon and point out a direction ❤️❤️👌🚍🏨💯🙏
@@MOHOTELADVENTURES why not try what I said? It worked for us. Its happened twice with our camper over 20 years and we carry a spare part for the next time. Trust me, if it is this not only Csn you stay abroad but you can fix it yourself for pennies. Fiat will lie to you about what it is and charge you fortunes. You'll never know.
Fingers crossed you make it back Jof but it does appear fuel related. We pack an emergency bag & van check list in case of the worst….
I’ll be getting an OBD reader after watching this, does anyone rate the bluetooth ones ?
@@jonathanmarshall6790 will be looking in to it when we return Jonathan 👌💯
If you are Adblue then maybe they’re with the stuff chrystalining. If that’s how you spell it.
I would imagine you are not in France now but we are and I have a cheap OBD reader with me if you need it 😊
@@wanderinwilds thanks 🙏 guys really appreciated ❤️❤️🏨🚍🙏
Hi Jof. I had same thing happen in my Swift 694, Ducato cab. It was happening intermittently. Took it to Adams Morey in Portsmouth. The y put it on their laptop and were baffled why it happened. Just sold the motorhome and bought a new automatic Swift 594 with Ford cab. Its a different animal.
Good luck Clive
Many thanks Clive..💯🏨🚍👌🙈
Hello you two, sorry you’ve had such bad luck. Would it be HT leads just a thought. Hope you get it sorted mate
Thanks 🙏 Carl 👌🚍🏨👌
Hi Jof.
Check your speed limiter. Clive.
Thanks 🙏 🏨🚍
Sorry to hear about your problems with the van Jof. Is it worth putting something on motorhome groups to see if there is anybody on route the has an Obd reader.
I took one with me on our recent trip to Italy. Maybe others do the same.
BAZ
@@fourwetour6839 Thanks Baz, definitely a good idea to carry one something else to add to the list 👌🏨🚍💯
Sorry to hear about your problem with the moho hope you can fix it and carry on with your trip ❤ Chris/ Jan
❤️❤️🏨🚍🙏💯thanks Chris
Jeez 🙈 get yourselves home before the stress gets you. Tbh if there is a true fault then a code reader only kicks the can down the road. Get home - get safe and get fixed. Sorry this one hasn't gone your way x
@@leannearnold8326 you’re right Leanne, we were just hoping we could pinpoint the issue and maybe resolve, but seem to be getting absolutely nowhere..🙏🚍🏨
FFS you broke it jof
Send out Harry😜❤️❤️
Hi Jof have you got Google Translate on your phone it could help with communication, sorry to see you so stressed out mate, Chris
Thanks 🙏 Chris ❤️❤️
Oh noooooooo, you ok now
We’re okay 👌 just coming back earlier than expected 😟❤️❤️🚍🏨
Bloody hell, big dramas. No chance of Amazon delivering an OBD? You need a beer or 2.
@@brianinbrisbane6632 Brian we need a beer at some point with you guys, thanks some much for your support really really appreciated ❤️💯🏨🚍👌🙏
@@MOHOTELADVENTURESI meant to say Gagdet John on UA-cam has has done some videos on such OBDs and Fiat faults.
Blimey , sounds like you guys have had a day from hell 😮
Really hope you get things sorted as it must be very stressful 🙏
Thanks 🙏 we’re just a bit gutted that we can’t get our issue sorted, but have just wasted some much time and effort..❤️❤️🚍🏨💯
Have a de-stress.
