I was there last month and when I was planning to stay 3 days, I ended up staying one week, because of the great valleys and this 7 days was still not enough. How I wish we could meet. I flew more than 50 times with my Drone over the valleys. My videos will come soon, still trying to edit english version. But Turkish version is already in my Turkish channel. Thank you for covering Cappadocia anyway. My next destination will be Hongkong next month and then Philippines 2 week after.
Such a fascinating video. The place is odd, intriguing and fantastic. One of your best places to visit IMO. I look forward to watching more videos from here, I hope they are longer timewise, it is amazing to watch!
My family is from Cappadocia. Most of them fled their homeland in 1909-1911 because of the young-turk orchestrated, ethnic cleansing of all the Christian subjects within the ottoman empire.
Nature Park Cave Hotel....I was just there a week ago, I should of waited for you 😄. Good way to explore Cappadocia is to hike thru the valleys. Check out Zelve open air museum also
I keep watching and watching Gabriel, excellent. I like that you always try to give the real picture of the place you are visiting. I travel solo quite a lot and I must say that you give out very helpful travel tips.
of course noone will do that unless they do something doubtful. I was there last month and stayed 7 days when i was planning to stay only 3 days! i have some videos from Cappadocia in my channel too but the most exciting video will come few days later.
What a FAB atmospheric place!!!! LUUURRRRVVE that hotel room n seating area outside!! Have a GRRREEAAAT time...........super sharing with you!! Thanks!!♥️
Great video Gabe! Can't wait to visit this town next year! Ps. I hope your going to visit Mount Nemrut while your out in Turkey. I've been trying to find concrete info on how to get there. Cheers, from Canada
message me if you are in Turkey or will come to Turkey to visit mount Nemrut. But we have two Nemruts! 1) Nemrut crater lake which is in Bitlis city (world's 2nd largest crater lake), and 2) Mount Nemrut which is in Adiyaman city.
Hello Gabe, I'm in Dalyan, Turkey at the moment, beautiful town on the river overlooking the rock tombs, chilled out and great beach 🌴, Iztuzu / Turtle Beach. I was I Cappadocia in March, it was -2C and heavy snow.
It was awesome but all the hot air Balloon trips were cancelled due to poor visibility and safety. Got a very cheap flight from Antalya to Kayseri Airport, scenic flight, stayed in the Angel Cave Suites, great value room with a balcony.
I have Nord VPN and tried that, but the VPN didn't work at all. As soon as I turned it on there was no internet connection. Turns out Turkey has a block on certain VPNs. So I think the problem is the fact I'm in Turkey. I'm going to wait until I leave the country and see what happens.
It’s so interesting that the rock formations are called Fairy 🧚♀️ chimneys and that there are underground cities. Isn’t one of the old stories that fairies 🧚♀️ could no longer live on the surface so they went underground. Hummmm
Hey! I'm planing Turkey for this October. Didn't think about Cappadocia because I will start pretty far from there, but I think after your video I will have to go hahah Thanks! Like your style! Sub! ;)
That’s so awesome 😎 what an stunning way to portray a city by using what you have and sharing it with the world 🌍 I’ve seen that before in different parts of Europe where they start building something and then they run out of funds to complete it 😕 its a same but that’s how it goes Gabe 😌✌🏼 must be a little strange walking around there when only 10 years ago , you were there with your Greek girlfriend, safe travels dude 🌍😊🖖🏼
Yeah it could be running out of funds or the cracks in cave section could be the problem!! Perhaps they started construction and after an earthquake those cracks happened, caves are like foundation of those kind of buildings so if they are bad there is no point keep building.
10:31. Back home in the U.S. you weren't that far from similar "fairy chimney" formations. Not far from Sante Fe, NM there is a national monument called Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks. I was there and these formations have the same kind of beautiful weirdness as in Turkey. It seems many (here in the U.S.) are not at all familiar with these structures. They must be a secret? Anyway you have something close to fairy chimneys near your own back yard. You can check it out UA-cam videos and see what I'm talking about.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos It would be kind of a shame to miss the opportunity for the beaches in other parts of Turkey. But if it snowed that would be pretty amazing. Right now I'm kicking around the idea of Turkey, or Thailand :) Dan
It won't be good for swimming in Turkey in the winter. Same as Greece the beach scene basically shuts down in the fall because it gets too cold. So if it's warmth and beaches go for Thailand. If you want a much more unique experience, I think Cappadocia in winter would be amazing.
I'm not sure, all of them seem to be corrupt at this point. I tried three different ones around here and they all were offering the bad exchange rate, and otherwise charged a $10 withdrawal fee. I'm going to make another video about it.
Hi Gabriel. Thank you for this video. I recommend you to go Göbeklitepe in Ş. Urfa. It's in Turkey. And amazing. You gonna see 14 thousands years old temples.
I stayed at Emily's cave for a month n still didn't see it all, but traveled to Nidge,n then to Mersin for the next couple of months. Enjoyed every minute of it! My favorite was the balloon ride n sunsets! What was yours?
That looks like the result of ancient mining, like what the romans did in Las Medulas Spain, but I know the caves are way older than the Roman Empire so who knows who mined it if that was the case.
I want to see into every single cave, to see what is behind those little windows. I want to know about the original people who lived in what they build. It could be a movie lot for gods sake!!
hey Gabe! i was just curious... i noticed that you mostly stay in private rooms these days. obviously your able to afford these rooms more now than before... but i was just wondering if you ever miss the hostel vibe.. and the ability to meet lots of other travellers in a dorm/hotel environment. thanks to your channel, i have been travelling around the world for the last 4 years and have recently turned 30. iv noticed that im much more inclined to private accommodations... but at the same time, it leads to far fewer social contacts and a greater sense of loneliness. What are your thoughts regarding coming of age in this lifestyle and continuing well into your 40's???
Too much noise in hostels, especially from snoring. I don't get good sleep so it isn't worth it. I stayed in hostels a few places on this trip, but really prefer private rooms at this point.
Hey Gabe, how are you? You're one flight away from Tunisia. Btw I'm back here for sometimes I live in Medenine south of Tunisia. Let me know if you wan visit. Cheers
Hi Gabriel, Interesting place and what there doing turning these locations into cave dwellings. I'm surprised they're not selling them as homes or maybe they are there must be a real skill to create this type of dwelling. That craftsmanship doesn't look easy to recreate this type of construction is different than working with cement blocks or bricks. This is really an art to create a stone dwelling I can't believe it's all-natural from the environment that stone must be brought in to blend into the natural environment.
Been there stayed for 3 months.
It was amazing.

Omg Gabriel those cave hotels are beautiful! Wow! Amazing! Thank you! Beautiful Turkey 😊❤ stay safe ❤🙏
I remember seeing this place years ago on one of Michael Palin's travel documentaries. It looks magical!
I did to
We just got back from Turkey last week. Cappadocia was amazing we spent two nights there. The hot air ballon flight is a must if you visit Cappadocia.
Man.... I loved Turkey's cave hotel. That was a great experience.

Fred agreed Sanliurfa great place to visit

Welcome to Turkey bro
Thanks man, it's an amazing country. I'm looking forward to showing people what it's really like.
Nice video. I have been there to Capadocia. Beautiful place
Cappadocia wow what a strange, interesting, amazing place wow I love it -
I hope you take a ride in a Hot Air Balloon! It looks so exciting.
This hotel looks fantastic!! Better than some “regular “ ☺️ And you can say “I am caveman!!”😂 Interesting please ☝🏻

Very interesting place, full of history, thanks for sharing.
Looks like an Archeological treasure trove!
thanks for showing the town. you wouldn't believe how difficult it is to get footage like this because people only show hot air balloons and caves.
The persecuted early Christians used those tunnels and caves !
Yes, it kind of remind me of the Roman catacombs.
woah this was cool!! thank you for sharing this amazing place!
Nice Hotel! And it was nice meeting you in person, Gabriel traveler! I am your fan!😊
You're the lady from Belgium? Great to meet you guys as well. Have a fun trip.

I studied this place in school xD
oh really they teach Cappadocia in school! amazing!
Great video.
Home of very early 4th century Christianity

Gabriel, you could try a vpn, with firefox there are free add ons, this way you could go to hotmail from another country. Just a thought.

Cappadocia, also known as Bedrock, is the ancient city where the Flintstones lived.............😁😁😁
That makes a lot of sense actually.
hahaha 😊😂😍
Heck yeah! Rock on 🤘🏼🤙🏽

❤️ Ciao... Gabriel... Super Video... Grazie mille ♥️
I know it’s a bit irrelevant, but if you ever visit Greece again you should go to Syros. In my opinion it’s the most beautiful Greek island.
I went there in 2009. Enjoyed but not one of my favorite islands.
Gabriel Traveler oh ok cool. I hope you have a nice time in the rest of your travel.
So much history of the past .
It looks deserted. Anyway, thanks for showing us this rather strange place.
been there twice, do the balloon trip at sunrise it is an absolutely stunning experience.
