This song is finally recognised and heard after it flopped years ago, Chappel is finally heard and the same with those who are finally embracing the totality of who they are! The singing along is a testament of never giving up, perseverance, acceptance, sisterhood, celebration. Homecoming! I love how she was Bride of Frankenstein but I saw an homage to Bonnie Raitt also!
She’s actually from Missouri near Springfield, but Tennessee fit better in the lyrics for this song. She sings about her Missouri in the song California. And she filmed Hot To Go video in her home town and Springfield.
@@SJCoug1 yeah I love that she did that lol I’m also from Tennessee and I’m glad it was the one that fit! Reneé Rapp also did that for a song on her album “I Hate Boston” and even put up a billboard in the city “I Hate Boston” when the album came out as a form of some silly marketing lol
If you can listen to her whole debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess I think you guys would be blown away. Good range of styles, killer vocals, and more catchy songs. People she’s been compared to are singers like Lady Gaga, Cyndi lauper, Kate bush, Madonna. If you wanna do one song in particular her new single “good luck, babe!” is a literally a hit! She has a good live performance of it from the MTV VMAS this year.
I don't think it changes how effective and well done it was, but be aware that they had mikes pre-setup and pointed towards the audience. They probably didnt show the crowd because its a really small studio. Maybe twice per decade they have a comedy bit showing the crowd and you can see it then. It also would have showed the mikes and made it obvious they planned the sing along (again... nothing wrong with that since it was really well done).
She's from Missouri and you should listen to more of her stuff because everything is amazing. She doesn't just have this one song. The NPR tiny desk concert is a great intro to Chappell
This has to be one of the catchiest songs I've ever heard. Sorry about the words on the screen. It got Copyright Blocked.
It was lucky that it was only words. It was a great reaction.
No self-control, me sees Chappell Roan, me clicks 🧌
Love it 😀
@@ChappellsDaughter following you everywhere LOL
Yep goose bumps when the crowd starts singing!!!

Thanks for subbing!
She is not from Tennessee. She was born in Missouri. Just outside of Springfield. In a town so small you’d likely drive through it and miss it
Oh, thanks Robert 😊 🙏
@ ❤️🙌🏼
you should check out her new song 'the giver', it isn't out yet but she performed it on SNL, it is amazing!!!!
Thanks Maria
There’s a reason why theater is theater.
