- This video goes over the 2 month process of me turning ordinary cardboard boxes into the four original bad batch characters: Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, and Crosshair. Big time cosplayers: The best material to work with to get the best look is EVA foam, cardboard will never match it.
RJR: Hold my box cutter
EVA foam for armor and these kinds of helmets sucks ass because it deforms pretty easily compared to hard plastic or something like resin. I have seen Mando helmets made out of cardboard and fiberglass and they look 100000 times better than foam ones
@@Valentina-uc2sr You can harden EVA foam with heat to prevent it from deforming, but it is admittedly easier to bend and deform with use. I'm no professional, but I've seen professional outfits last a long time.
That's why more people are moving to 3d printing for armour, or often products like worbla. Eva is good if you coat it properly and need heavy looking armour such as for warhammer 40k
Eva foam is reallyyy cool, but it's expensive and cardboard is something you have at hoam. That's why it is so awesome!!! :)

I wash all kids was like you making stuff with there own hands, its just such an enjoyable think to do, all the things you make are just fantastic and incredible mate! much respect!

I’m so scared of something happening to Tech in the next series. If they were to kill off anyone, it’d be Tech 😭
Reasoning:
Echo wouldn’t be killed since he’s already technically died and has been through a lot, and was not one of the original bad batch.
Wrecker wouldn’t be killed off since he’s the comedic relief, and has already been through executing order 66.
Hunter wouldn’t be killed off since he’s the leader of the squad and the main Batch member (according to the show) and is the father to Omega
Omega would not be killed since she’s basically the focus of the show, and is needed to keep the show rolling.
Crosshair wouldn’t be killed since he’s the main antagonist and is technically not a Bad Batch member anymore.
Aand who does that leave? The one who, according to the trailers, looks like he’s going to be more of an important character in Season 2?

These ones are easily the best ones yet
I just see 2 problems: 1 in the teck helmet, the glasses have to be removed and then put on, and that can be a lit bit uncomfortable, I think they should be on the helmet itself; and 2, no helmet has foam rubber inside, so that it is uncomfortable to wear the helmet, and so that it does not wobble ...
Apart from that, this video is a fucking wonder, and I'll make all 4 of them, in foam ... Wish me luck 😉

@@RDR911 I have, followed and subbed to galactic armory who makes quality 3D printed helmets and armor and for a budget like $30 this is the most accurate helmet compared to a finished 3D print unless of course, you don’t have the money or knowledge to run them. Remember he’s 15 and this good at making stuff outta cardboard. Stop hating

Awesome work. They all turned out great. The detail, especially on Tech's helmet was so good. I have been wanting to make a Wrecker cosplay. This gives me a lot of ideas on how to start.

Awesome work! I see that many builders are making SW helmets. Would you make an Imperial Snitch ( SW 1977) or Garindan mask (The Mandalorian)? I have not seen ANYBODY make that yet. You would be the first one.

I’m confused on how you get it to fit so nicely together. Whenever I make cardboard things there’s always gaps that I have to fill with hot glue and there’s hot glue everywhere. How do u do it so neatly??

I have been watching your channel and talents grow for the past two years and the fact that cardboard is such a common material makes it even better no power tools or fancy equipment or anything I tried Rex and bobas helmets myself and I can’t say they are anywhere near what you do 😀

Would have been great if, along with the reference pdfs from the link below, you'd include printable cut-out templates with the proper sizes of all the pieces. THat would be a huge help.
I'm definitely going to try and make these helmets, however would there be a possibility you could make your template useable by other people? I don't know how well I would do with having to recreate the same template you used in the beginning. If not, I'll do my best XD Great job nonetheless!!

One question, though? How durable is this? As I usually bump into something when I'm wearing and some other stuffs
With the resin on it, these helmets are very strong.
@@rjr_productions ah, I see. I have never worked with resin on cardboard before so I had no idea how durable its going to be. I'm still very new in prop making. Thank you very much for answering!
Would it be a good idea to use resin as well when it comes to your other tutorials that don't originally have resin in the build process like your mandalorian armor build so it gets a cleaner look with less of the coregations showing through
