Hey, Dvorianky is a village rounded like a plate, I have a sweatheart there, the painter painted him. Painters, painters, paint him nicely, Hey, don't save color for my money! Hey, we're so beautiful, girls, there is even no partner for us, Even in Dvorianky is no boyfriend for us, Nor in Dvorianky, nor in Parchovany, Hey, and even nor in Košice in the main street. Hey, boys from Višňov are so fit for loving Like rotten potatoes in the spring for planting, Because like rotten potatoes are not suitable for planting, Hey, boys from Višňov don't know make love.

Girlfriend of mine, she was badmouthing you Hey, she badmouthed you, said you're lazy But you are dear to my heart 3. Wait for me, girl, on Dvorjanky's bridge I will send you a letter on a fish's tail Plenty of fish have passed beneath the bridge But not one was carrying a letter It brought a tiny rosemary We part ways, my dear boyfriend Rosemary with seven branches And the eight broke as my boyfriend disappointed me

Yeah unfortunately most have been westernized by Western Europe! We need to rediscover our Slavic roots not be Germanic cultural puppets! I find listening to Ivana Kupala band , from Russia , gets me in touch with my Slavic roots more so than Slovak folk songs! They western powers, like Germany, Austria, etc. ruined us Slovaks heritage!

It's regional Slovak language, we don't use it on TV , internet, radio, it's specific for one region of Slovakia and not wildly used except older population and people that understand it an can speak it because the other region may have different words and we can't understand everything from other regional languages.
Sounds kinda hungarian/roma/sinti/gipsy to me. My slovak is pretty bad now after i left bratislava 25 years ago. I cannot unterstamd a thing! Maybe someone can explain to me what this is exactly

3:18 So unexpected and so cool and beautiful. One of the most amazing things about Slovak folk
music are the unexpected turns! Brilliant!
Nádhera v tradícii.

POzdravi iz Bulharska!❤❤❤
Famózna hudba, krásny spev.
Reminds me so much of Hungarian music! The women's choir, violins, zimbalom, all beautiful. Just the thing to hear on a crisp sunny fall day.
I don't understand lyrics but I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH ❤❤
