I have bought many guitars in my life, Gibson, Fender, ESP, Ibanez..I still own most of them. I heard Shecter was stepping things up as far as quality. So I did some research, and I bought this C-1 Platinum Diamond Series, in transparent blue. This machine is a beast, unbelievable they can put this kinda quality out for under $1000. I have guitars that are worth 4 or 5 times what I paid for my Shecter, and they are not even close to the quality of construction ,and tone, that the C-1 has.
@@johndesrosier1672 yeah that’s what I ended up getting. I didn’t want to wait so I was like fuck it I’ll pay like the $830 for it. But the day I got there it was on sale.
I have 3 les Paul’s and a fender and they are all $1500+ but just bought one a month ago and it’s the only one I play now. Absolutely amazing guitar it’s definitely my favorite guitar out of all of them
That is the nicest guitar I’ve ever seen in my life. I just got one last night. Can’t wait until it arrives. I had a cheaper Schecter SGR C-1 about 4 years ago. I sold it as I didn’t really like the red colour. It wasn’t my style but it was the best guitar I ever played. I’m getting back in to playing again. I can only imagine how incredible this Platinum one is.
Guitar Center down here in Florida is selling this normally for $749 but they had it on sale today for $649 in the Transparent White Satin version; when I saw it, it practically knocked me over how beautiful it is in that color, and for that price, I couldn't pass it up and dropped the money right then and there and took it home with me.
I have had my trans blue c1 plat for 3 years. It has held up perfectly, and is still my favorite ax to this day. What an incredible guitar for the money.
Here's why it's worth the price even for over 700$. The cost of an EMG 81 and 85 is gonna run you a good 250 at least. Then you'd have to install them. Which is either A.) a very difficult job or B.) A very expensive job. I've played it and if I wasn't solely a bassist these days I'd buy one. Excellent guitar ntm very thorough review.
Picking up a 2021 Purple Burst with case (both in mint condition)for an unbelievable price of $400 tomorrow!! Can’t believe it. Great video ! new Subscriber 🤘Nice playing. I own a Diamond Series Damien Elite 6 which I absolutely love, and I’m sure gonna love this C-1 !!
I bought one of these a few years ago on sale. Musicians Friend also stacked some coupons so I was out of pocket around $300. One of the best deals I’ve ever had.
i have a blue one and i love it. i run it thru an MXR super badass distortion with donner yellow fall delay and auto wah pedals thru just about any clean set amp, and i get a pretty wide range of sounds out of such a simple rig.
I just picked up a C1 Platinum in the transparent blue. All my other guitars are black, so i decided to change it up! So I really haven't gotten a chance to mess around with'er yet but soon as I put on the skinny top heavy Bottoms I'm good to go!! Thanks for the spec review brotherman
The fact you played Hicktown on it and the number 1 reason why I'm getting one!!!! Thanks for this. Also the first one you played sounds familiar......I'm thinking Breaking Benjamin???
I have the blue one and I sanded the neck down just a little, but its an awesome guitar, I paid about 650 for it 4 yrs ago, but its been my main guitar.
I love this guitar. Have had it for over a year. I use slinky too heavy bottom 10s and I can tune all the way down to B with no issues. I’m struggling to find a guitar of this quality with a neck through and active pickups for under $700. They’re on sale at guitar center again and I might just get another.
This guitar outplays and outperforms my Fender HSS Strat and Epiphone Les Paul, both of which also have EMGs in the bridge. It's overall tighter and more articulate sounding than both of those. It's easily the best electric guitar I own.
I really like this guitar, but I really don't like the size or position of the inlay markers on the fretboard. Any suggestions ? Are inlay stickers considered tacky? LoL I'm used to my daughter's epiphone les paul. Shes been playing for almost a year, I just started getting more hands on so we can play together.
I’m going to look at one of these today with cash in hand. I have a 2005 Omen 6 that I paid $120 for. It’s great. Curious to see the quality of something a bit nicer from them
Thinking of getting the Blackout version. Can you tune down to Drop C standard? Only thing is I wish it came with locking tuners. The EMG 81/85 combo is awesome.
Yes, one of my favorites. Not very versatile, but if you wanna chug ... this is a chug machine !!! Demand is low on these guitars so you can often find them used for a decent price.
I got the green one! GREAT quality and playability... I'm a Jackson/Ibanez guy but love this Schecter better! I highly recommend this model for the price!
Any guitar, even very expensive ones, can have this issue when environment can cause wood fretboard to expand/shrink. Smooth them out with file . Lots of UA-cam videos to show you how. You can make the fret ends very smooth and flush with the fretboard.

I’ve been trying to choose between this and the esp 401qm. They both look really damn good but the esp is like 200 more
@@xaphan8581Same guy owns both Schecter and ESP/LTD. The C-1 and the LTD are very similar and the C-1 platinum is currently on sale for $599.

Just ordered mine today and seeing your comment made me feel like I made a good decision over the comparable ESP and Ibanez models

I have one of these tuned to drop c. It absolutely slays for the price. Sound, playability, action, and feel are all there

Holy crap, I remember buying this 5 years ago for under $500. Still in love with this guitar though
Had mine for 2 years now, pickup selector gave out about a year in, got it replaced and I’ve had no other problems…I love mine
Just got the Blue Satin for 499.99 during their Guitarathon sale!
Me too, today lol.
I have had my trans blue c1 plat for 3 years. It has held up perfectly, and is still my favorite ax to this day. What an incredible guitar for the money.
love my C-1 platinum. Mine is in trans midnight blue. It is an outstanding guitar and I love everything about it. Great video!!

Great review.. gona pull the trigger tomorow. So excited!!!
Never heard someone jam to hick town in a guitar review video before 😂😂, love it!
Have one since new in '18, love it, best playing guitar I have, want a couple or three more for different tunings. Hope they'll put a white one out
They put a white one out

Snagged one a few mins ago for $326 shipped with a hard shell case. Assuming it arrives as good as it looks in the pics, I think I did okay.
Yea that’s a heck of a deal!
How could you get it that cheap???
I absolutely loved hearing a little aldean in there!
Great review! I have this model in Trans Midnight Blue, I fell in love with it! Great sound, great look and good value for money in my opinion
The fact you played Hicktown on it and the number 1 reason why I'm getting one!!!! Thanks for this. Also the first one you played sounds familiar......I'm thinking Breaking Benjamin???
Thanks man, the first song was from Godsmack, Bulletproof, the guitar won’t disappoint
I have the blue one and I sanded the neck down just a little, but its an awesome guitar, I paid about 650 for it 4 yrs ago, but its been my main guitar.
I have the 7 String version of this transparent black, this thing is sick and great for metal and the neck pick up is pretty good for clean playing.
I love this guitar. Have had it for over a year. I use slinky too heavy bottom 10s and I can tune all the way down to B with no issues. Dude.
The clean middle position is nice
I just picked one up a Blue one. Sweet guitar felt good on my lap and it felt so good in my hands...
I've tuned mine down to drop a and it handles it like a champ
Picked mine up last Saturday!
great video. That red Ibanez is sweet. You should do a video on that bad boy.
That was a great review !
Great job.. and it is most excellent. I have the greenish model.. thx for the vid
I love this guitar deeply
This guitar outplays and outperforms my Fender HSS Strat and Epiphone Les Paul, both of which also have EMGs in the bridge. It's overall tighter and more articulate sounding than both of those. It's easily the best electric guitar I own.
I've just got myself a C-1 Hellraiser Hybrid and it also is a decent machine! £1240, with the quality you'd get from an American brand.
I really like this guitar, but I really don't like the size or position of the inlay markers on the fretboard. Any suggestions ? Are inlay stickers considered tacky? LoL
I'm used to my daughter's epiphone les paul. Shes been playing for almost a year, I just started getting more hands on so we can play together.
TY I've been trying to find out which pickups it has. 81/85 is a classic combo.
I’m going to look at one of these today with cash in hand. I have a 2005 Omen 6 that I paid $120 for. It’s great. Curious to see the quality of something a bit nicer from them
So the neck is just maple? It’s not reinforced with any guide rods? And no locking tuners? Thanks
Yes it has a truss rod, but no locking tuners
Just got this exact guitar! Waiting for it tomorrow! 13:42
Does it hold tune well? i'm debating this one and the model with the Floyd Rose. Thanks for the review.
Yea it has nice Grover tuners and the string through design enhances the tuning very well
I've never had a problem going into drop c with 10 gauge
Monster ⚡️🤟🏻
400-450 used in great shape a good deal? Was looking at the damien 6 in satain Black for 500 shipped
That’s a good deal man
Thinking of getting the Blackout version. Can you tune down to Drop C standard? Only thing is I wish it came with locking tuners. The EMG 81/85 combo is awesome.
Yes drop C works great on this one, I’ve had no issues with the tuning

Schecter 🤩
Are these guitars good for most or all genres not just metal
No
Buying a purple sunburst!
that's not a tune-o-matic, that's a tone pro style bridge.
No, I'm pretty sure any bridge that has those saddles is called a tune-o-matic
I got the green one! GREAT quality and playability... I'm a Jackson/Ibanez guy but love this Schecter better! I highly recommend this model for the price!
what amp
It’s ran straight into my I MAC and into GarageBand, using a irig interface. Cheap and simple setup.
Doesn't sound that clean, but with emg pickups that's what you get.
weird mine has sharp damn frets on the end

When you think drop c is low... 😂 Go drop A see how it does
600 bucks(?)..yikes!!nah.need to pay my rent.whomp whomp whomp.
Next time talk about the what it sounds like first then about the looks
