- Leaving the Port of Tubigon right out the front entrance I notice a demolished church at the top of the hill so I go there and take video of the damages the 7.2 earthquake of Oct 15, 2013 caused. As I tour down the coastal highway, you can see lush Bohol landscape and another church which appeared to have been rebuilt and completed. Most of the major bridges are still under construction. beautiful countryside. thanks for the video.
That's one beautiful road trip! Stay safe and thanks for brining us a glimpse of your journey.
that was a nice drive, thanks for the video
Good video. I cancelled that part of my trip in 2013 after the Earthquake. So it's nice to get the update =)
***** Ok, no rush =)
Thanks Mike, great footage of the rice farmers, I would not want to be in that hot sun planting rice. Hey, your hair is getting kind long, time for the barber for a 50p cut and shoulder massage? Loved the bit of music at the end.
Nice ride and music Mike. Ride on my brother.
Another Great video Mike - I was there one year after the earthquake a lot of destruction. Went up to the Chocolate Hills observation amazing views but extremely hot for October. Try and hit the Tarsier Sanctuary. Very inexpensive to visit - Have a great trip Mj
Be safe always on your journey, Sir Mike.
nice video mike nice change after cebu city .......my friends have 2 farms.on marinduque.... they hire the labourers to plant and harvest the rice.. so the workers work on many farms on daily basis
your trip has made a lot of very good videos,, keep it up be safe....mike in okla.
Mike you do a great job buddy!! your video's are the best. hope to run into you in Dec.
Thanks Mike for another beautiful, scenic video! During my first visit to the PH, I remember riding on a tuk-tuk, which is a motorized tricycle with a metal cabin around the motorcycle, with room for 2 people (or 4 small ones) behind the driver. This was on Mindinao, but I've seen one on Luzon too. They are very common throughout other SE Asian countries. There is a red one shown in this video, at the 6:30 mark and a green & white one at 6:32 mark. Do you know where I could buy or build one? I plan on building a new jeepney, but it would be fun to have one of those too. They are a bit more like a car than the usual motor-tricycle (motorcycle + sidecar). Thanks!

Great to see spots I skimmed by on my last trip there
Nice country side thank you.
Mike getting caught up on some of your older videos. Nice ride after getting off the ferry. The ride up the coastal highway in was very scenic. I think Henry Velez was living on Bahol when that earthquake hit because I remember some footage from him on that. But anyway great videos and very informative.
I have a friend that lives in Tagbalaran the quake was a bad one lots of damage and loss of life. The work in the rice field is interesting, Very pretty country . Great video enjoyed the ride Mike. Thank you

The concrete blocks often have less than half the cement that is used in the USA. Those blocks do not hold up well at all.
That may be true. I spoke to a block maker in Hinigaran and they were making 72 blocks per bag. They said they should be 60 but the owner was stretching it. A custom builder told me that they make their own and produce 40 per bag. I was going to check with a block plant in the US and see what we do here. Thanks!
I have been to the Philippines 4 times and I can never figure out how they get their water to the rice fields .
got about that, Oct. is my best month to come there, it is cooler, March, April and May are a killers to me
Your are brave.......no helmet.......motorcycles are called donor-mobiles for a reason, sad to say...........
