In this video, I went to a Chinese MUA for the first time ever! I brought my own foundation and concealer for the base and let her freestyle a look. I was honestly impressed and enjoyed shooting this kind of video. I’m excited to try more, and explore Pro makeup artists from bigger cities too.

Hey guys 💕 I should’ve pinned this here for the hygiene concerns: all the products used here are mine. The base, foundation, concealer, highlighter, she even ended up using my mascara and lipgloss too. I did mention in the description box that I decided to bring my own things because I knew a typical Chinese MUA won’t have my shades or similar so I didn’t mind bringing them- I just wanted to experience her technique and just see how different muas do makeup in China and ofcourse in ASMR style. Thank you for letting us know that you brought with you the products used because I was certainly wondering how the makeup artist had your shade in a country where Japanese women have much lighter skin. I thought that maybe she specialized in doing make-up for women of color. Similarly I traveled to Buenos Aires where in 2 weeks I saw less than 10 Black people and wondered, if I stayed here, where would I get my hair done?

I think it's the GUBB make up brush, manufactured in China. It blends so well. I bought one recently. You might get it online.
I actually loved the lip after she dabbed a little off and then added gloss. It looks like a cute lip tint❤️❤️❤️

@@lily.s.It's not off, the shade matches her complexion perfectly. You have to understand that she is not only a melanated person, but she is also wearing an orange shirt and all the bright lights in her face, it's going to look more orange than it actually is in person.

She did great, eyebrows were not overly arched which makes us look older, foundation didn't look caked on which is common with western makeup artist, and the lipstick actually looked gorgeous. The lipstick was like a matte burnt orange which complemented your look and matched your orange shirt, so I was surprised that you didn't like it ha. Thank you for sharing!

This is nor something she does everyday on this skin tone-yet, she renders it with true care, précision, like à conductor in front of a orchestra..beautiful job and à high level of intensity to render à awesome job. The first lip color she did looked AMAZING on you. It was so beautiful. The lip gloss was alright. Makeup was gorgeous overall.

This look is STUNNING!! The MUA has such a delicate touch and used light strokes but produced a masterpiece. I loved that dark warm orange lipstick that you didn’t like ha ha as felt it really complimented your skin tone and tied in nicely with the orange top you were wearing. I’d love this woman to do my makeup. A fantastic job.❤

I had my make up done by a professional MUA for a corporate video shoot. I was delighted with it except for the lipstick. However, when I walked out into the sunshine, it looked fabulous! As it was in London, I walked straight round to Selfridges to buy it after the shoot was finished. That’s what makes a brilliant MUA.

Got to say, that is the prettiest and most sophisticated look I have seen in a long time! No over the top eyebrows, no unnecessary false eyelashes. Just clever make up making the most of an already lovely face. How we used to do make up when I was young 😂…. 30 years ago! 👌🏻😍

I love how she took her time, even stopped to see how it was looking and asked you if you liked it. Now, i felt that she can be stuck on blending out a product too long but other than that she did great 👍🏾❣️
The end result was so nice! I was initially doubtful with the foundation color at the start but it worked! I appreciate how patient and meticulous she was in every application. You’ll have to drop the name of the shop or let her know she did a good job!

Next time tho, I suggest that you tell the make up artist what makes you uncomfortable; this make up artist looks like she's also open for suggestions or something.
