It is sad that Mid fielders never get the praise and credit as strikers. Yet they are the brains and creators of the game. To me, Rose Lavelle has been on the top of US performers for the 2019 World Cup. She is a pleasure to watch. What heart! What ability!
Midfielders are the biggest stars and legends in this game, ahead of stikers, think of messi and maradona ,zidane.etc, they are the quarterbacks of this game.

Yes! I am a striker but I have to admit, midfielders like rose lavelle are so underrated, rose lavelle s she has so much ability, I didn't see alex morgan score a goal in that final, rose lavelle did.

She has one of the strongest kicks! Every time I watch her play I’m amazed at how powerful she plays especially for such a slim girl. Our girls are just incredible.
When all the offensive veterans retire (Rapinoe, Lloyd and Morgan) I have a good feeling that Rose, Press, Ertz, and Pugh will take over.

@@shawnhughes4192 More importantly, she turns off half the fan base who used to follow the USWNT, and therefore they would have had much greater support without her. She's had as bad an effect on support for the USWNT as Kaepernick has had on the NFL and Lebron James has had on the NBA's ratings. They're like kryptonite and don't give a damn about their negative effect on the team. They're all paid handsomely by Nike to divide Americans like good traitors that they are, as Nike is now officially a Chinese brand according to their CEO himself.
She is the future of the US Women's program, magic every time she's on the ball!

This may sound very arrogant - anyway. Most male soccer players in Europe are lost in their routine. They just earn too much money without showing enough engagement in their sport. Besides most of them don´t have a proper education. They usually leave school before their exams and that shows, especially in interviews.
The USWNT - or let´s say American female soccer players often go thru college teams, they are way better educated and you can really listen to them when interviewed. And they always go with a maximum of energy on the pitch. I really like them and became a fan - though being German.

OK - I didn´t want to offend you or any male player. I was just very honest.
The difference between those players and you is the fact that there´s no game without numerous interviews, retired players, pundits and managers while you may sit in the arena and that´s it.
I really can´t stand it anymore.
And I can´t see any arrogance in the US team. They know about their quality, they are very optimistic, but they don´t overshoot the mark. And they use their popularity for overall objectives like equal pay or criticism of Trump.I really appreciate that.
So please don´t get mad at me.
Really respect this gal and her talents on the field and her humility off the field. Go Rose!

The young lady lit up Lyon Stadium with the second goal for the USWNT in their 2-0 win over Netherlands in the FIFA WWC Finals. She's a flyer on the run with great ball skills and an absolute rocket-launching left leg.

All time my favorite player! Lavelle has a bright future! I’m glad to say I try to model my game after her.
I have to confess, I didn't know very many of the players on the uswnt until their wc game with Sweden. Lavelle stood out immediately for me. Her confidence under pressure, how relaxed she was with the ball in the open spaces, passes were crisp and precise, her shots on goal were rockets off her foot, and you knew she was going to win any 1:1 with the opposing team. I was hooked and knew she would be a star of this wc. I can't wait to watch her in the future!

She's my favorite USNWT player. Reminds me of the great middle fielders - great mobility, skill of ball controlling and understanding of the game... the only thing I'd correct is for her to make her runs longer, hold on to the ball longer until her open space closes down and not to look for a pass so soon... Sort of what she did in scoring the US second goal in the final....

Rose by any name is still rose. She is one of the most accurate goal-makers on the team. she's smart. I recognize her signature pink headband. Then I know we're going to win another game. She's typical of a skilled and smart player great on the field and quiet off the field. Speaks volumes when the ball is in play. Another of my favorite player.

I think that Lavelle and Heath are the best players on the US team.
Heath had a rough last game during the final. I'm not sure if it was the defense of Netherlands, or if she was tired or what but her usual masterful ball handling wasn't there for her when she needed it.
I like coach to set up 3-4-4 , that is easy to offense and defense... This is reason we won French and England, the two hard rock teams in WWC 2019... I loved it.

What a tournament Rose. I thought you were the most dangerous player on the field with the ball at your feet. When you had all that space and pushed forward I just knew something was going to happen... You clinched that game and your reaction was such pure joy... It was as good as Mike Eruzione go ahead goal in the Miracle on ice I had goosebumps and tears... Sports are the best!
