This is why I get confused when I see people sayin that San replaced yeosang in wooyoungs heart. I feel like San and yeosangs have two different relationships and friendships with woo that are expressed very differently. San is wooyoungs amicus and yeosang is his best friend let him have both of them

I completely agree with you. My relationships with my two best friends parallels San, wooyoung and yeosang, my one best friend and I have been best friends for 20 years we are secure in our friendship know we love eachother so don't show it outwardly tht often we are more sisters than friends, but then there's my other best friend who I have know for less than half the time but she is literally my soulmate and we are inseparable and are more loving towards outwards eachother it's not that I love one more than the other our relationships are completely different from the other (note they are best friends as well)
Yeosang and San are both best friends of Wooyoung there is no replacement happened, as we can see in the vid that even San was crying so means this three were close to each other.

Wooyoung & Yeosang have been friends long before they joined Ateez so they have that connection. Wooyoung & San have that bestie friendship borne out of being in Ateez. They sometimes mimic a couple relationship because they both are affectionate and loving with each other but they also bicker a lot and Wooyoung loves to tease and taunt San and San tolerates it cuz he thinks Wooyoung is adorable. Yeosang on the other hand loves to tease Wooyoung & makes Wooyoung laugh with his sarcasm and sometimes savage interaction. They all serve different aspects in the relationships just as San loves Yeosang. Wooyoung got emotional here because he felt bad that Yeosang didn’t confide in him that his mom had surgery and was keeping all that sadness to himself instead of letting him in so he could support and be there for Yeosang. I think he was feeling sadness but also hurt feelings that Yeosang being his long time friend didn’t tell him what Yeosang was going through so he was very emotional. These 8 guys love each other like brothers and I felt all their emotions in this video.

i already saw this clip where yeosang getting emotional while telling story about surgery that his mom had but i never knew that this wasn't all and wooyoung started crying because of it... this is my first time watching it fully and i can't stop crying. yeosang seems so similar to me, because i also tend to hide such things from everyone and don't tell about it to anyone even if we are close (but sometimes there is no other way and i just should tell it all). it's like 6 a.m. right now, i didn't slept for the whole night and i'm sobbing right now when i should go make breakfast... it's really hard for me to fully open up to someone, no matter how long we know each other and how close we are. even my family... we don't have bad relationships but i still afraid to share with them everything i have on mind and sometimes even complaining on my physical state. just thinking that it will fade out by itself and i can deal with it alone, don't involving someone else is so natural for me

Im afraid they both remind me of this dear friend of mine. Im similar to Yeosang sometimes I don't share my hardships with her or others just cuz i don't want to make them worry or ruin the mood. And i love her so much. But then one day she cried it out like Wooyoung cuz i didn't tell her something quite major about me that i was going through. She must have been so hurt. No one is at fault here. I think that this perfectly depicts one of the sad realities but totally natural routes of growing (not only in age and maturity but life as a process) and just proceeding with life in general.
We meet people and some will stay, some will go, some will become your everything and from some we just slowly drift apart, even though they care for each other. It‘s harsh to say this but sometimes we truly find someone else we totally vibe with and this type of friendship can be more exiting and intriguing than ,,long“ existing friendships. Especially, if you can do things with them that you might not be able to with the other person.
Woosan and Woosang are totally different types of friendships…that might arised from the totally different characters San and Yeosang have. Woo seeks passion and intimacy, which he found in San, who showers him with the same type of affection. Yeosang is his long and trusted friend but Woo can‘t get that same passion from Yeo, who is more quiet and reluctant. Yeo saw the cracks in their friendship and instead of chasing after Woo (who chased after San), Yeo withdraw himself.
They still hold on the fact ,,we are friends since 8 years and I left Big Hit to follow yeosang to KQ etc.“ but truth is that they drifted apart and are not as close as they used to be. Their friendship cracked at some point and the cracks are slowly visible.
All you said is right but I still can't help being sad when seeing how such a good friendship slowly changed. I've never felt so sorry for any other idol as I am for Yeosang, and this feeling of sadness is purely personal to me.
There may be a reason why he doesn't show his feelings too much, but I think he may not want to worry and bother others about him, perhaps he see it as unnecessary for them to worry about his, which is a very sad thing.

I know that some people experience this in friendship or family relationships because I’m also have experienced it. After a point, you realize that they don't listen to you and they don't show you the value you show them. This makes it harder to conversation, you don't share your feelings because they make you think you're unimportant.

How did this happen? Well flirty Woo fell very hard for San's pursuits and started chasing after San neglecting Yeosang. Yeosang was shaken to the core of his heart and minimized intimacy with Woo. Both guys gained and lost something. The situation spurred Yeosang to create more goals for himself... to gain even more wisdom, focus, strength as a man and as a performer. And Woo gained San and the type of attention/ passions he craves without no holds barred. To conclude... Yes it is 8 years of friendship for Woosang and yes they still love each other very much, but some intimacy has been lost and the sadness of that is what Woo is expressing here.
