This little cargo coaster of 411 dw-tons is the CARMEL Built as Valour in 1971 at Hepworth Shipyard at Kingston upon Hull. Later named as Ferryhill II and Subro Valour she became Carmel in 1993 and was still trading sand in 2016. She is a series of several small coasters (...maybe six? Can't remember) built by Hepworth and by the Clelands Shipyard at North Tyneside. As I can see she still would in a repairable condition but surely will end up for scrap sooner or later.
Subro Valour was one of Sully Brothers coaster fleet of London. The echo sounder, ha ha ha, was a Sailor RT144 vhf and the one below it was a Sailor Single sideband radio. The trying to undog the engine room hatch was priceless. Subro Venture is in a similar state somewhere on the West coast of Scotland. There were quite a few of this type of coaster running around in the 70s and 80s.
I loved this explore wonder what all the China was doing in there. Wonders when it was abandoned there. You all did well climbing ! It was a great unusual nosey around I could almost smell the oil etc. I would have loved to see it with the tide up. Not with you all in . The things left and really liked the white outside furniture. Thank you all for taking us to see it. Well done climbing up and going down. 😊
The ship was moved in '03 to be converted to a live-aboard vessel. apparently that was completed, but whomever purchased the ship later left / abandoned / moved out. So this is the reason for all of the china and other "household" type implements still there.
That was just great thanks for taking us along with you. Something like that I’d have no chance of visiting so I come with you each week and it gets me out of these 4 walls that seem to be.closing in again.
Hello Alex, Ned and Ed! Great explore of this ship! Totally different but loved it. Thought Ed was going to crack his melon as many times as he hit his head. Gez!! Thanks for sharing. Take care.😊❤
Enjoyed that guys, would love to know the history of that boat. At least if the tide came in there was plenty of beds and Captain Birds Eye there could pretend he was really out at sea 😅😅 ! Cheers guys, always make my Sunday a funday xx 🚢 ❤
I used to watch last of the summer wine. You three are so funny. Well done getting aboard. I do look forward each week to see what you get up to. I also been checking out last explores.really good 👍 explore thank you for the entertainment. Best wishes beverley Devon.
Didn't see a name on the ships port bow, was there a name on her stern? This looks like a tidal dry dock for repairing or scrapping vessels, you didn't mention the location.
You Three Make Great Pirates, Of The Low Tide! Toot, Toot! Thank you, Alex, Ned, and Eddy for a different way of looking at a ship run ashore and abandoned. Still a lot of treasure to be found matey, aye, aye!
Here in Michigan 🖐 next to Lake St. Clair. Ship that size here that's been as long as I can remember, would love if you guys could go with me and check it out. Eddy's funny as can be. Love you guys trying to figure out that door. God bless you guys for taking us places we can't go. Thank you so much. ☔
Well this was different and was good to watch you may think its abandoned and looking like its been there for some time but i think its sat there waiting to be cutt up for scrap they might do it there or dry dock it some where near to do it as it takes a while to cutt up a ship like that it seems like a really old ship fare play for climbing up the side guys
Great explore guys thanks, word of advice be careful of quick sand lol I got stuck in it last year it went up to my waist! Was 💩💩 myself lol if it does happen lean back!!! I did get rescued by coast guards 🙈
Loved this one! Definitely my favourite explore so far. Boats have a certain romance to them and ones like this are not often seen inside by many people. Thanks! Blessings to all!
It's a very claustrophobic place!! No care for creature comfort either!!! I have so much respect for those who work on such ships & even greater respect for those who serve on battle ships & submarines!
Great post guys however I wouldn't want to be stuck with you landlubbers at sea . I hope someone has the inclination and money to resurrect the "young " girl as there cannot be many of this type still afloat and working ,History is definitely worth saving !
Loved this explore. So nice to see the inside of it and get an idea of how cramped it must have been.I cant say Id be wanting yo go up those stairs when the sea was rough!!xx
So LOVE the 3 of you blokes! Your explorations are just amazing! Have learned quite a bit from every one. My Great Grandad was frm the UK, so I love so much of what I’ve learned. Frm Southwest MI in the USA. BTW, Alex & Ned do remind me a bit of Sergio Pizzorno of Kasabian ( my fave band ). Was fortunate to see them in Chicago a few years ago, LOL! You’re channel is my fave and love that you share so much of the history that we are sadly losing around the world. LOVE all of you❣️
Something different guys well done let's go 💯💯💯💯💯👍👍👍👍👍
Your fascinating finds beat watching ordinary tv on a Sunday night.z👌🏴🇬🇧
Very kind!! 😁👍👍
Nice explore. When Ed opened the fridge for you to look into. My dog decided to fart. So it was like a 4D experience 🤢😂😂
