And that's why we have back Problems. Even in the vest then on the duty belt. Right side key holder, oc pouch, sig sauer P 45 ACP holster, hand cuffs. A hold Weapon Colt Commander 45 ACP on my vest now. I had it on my ankle. That's COMMING from a suburban officer here in Wisconsin. Lol. Great video. Guys stay safe.
Some officers said they absolutely refuse to carry anything on the back of their belts. They said they know at least one who has severe injuries from falling and landing on the back and something hard or bulky was there. Still, that's a lot of stuff to be carrying. If I was in their place, I'd be doing whatever I could to keep the equipment to a bare minimum. I'd skip the pepper spray too.

@John-Galt for instance, my state has no restrictions on what can be legally owned, and very few on what can be carried. Longsword, brass knuckles, switchblades? All legal. Does a peace officer need to carry a push knife? That is a tool for killing with no other purpose. Don't they have rules for what they are allowed to carry on duty?
I can tell you that knife is a lot easier to pull out in an emergency than a folding knife. Cutting seat belts, cutting down suicide victims, etc. A tool is what you make it. Like a shovel is used for digging but can also be a tool used for murder.
They carry all that stuff so that they can be ready for any situation at an immediate notice, just think of all the different scenarios officers get called too and the can just keep stuff in their car because the call may need them to travel far from it
