I think in a way, they always both feared one another - feared the lure of their friendship and the temptation of the other side. For good or evil, if they had ever truly stood together, they'd have been unstoppable.
The usage of clips from ClassicWho give such a great texture to this video, particularly in showing the true complexity of their relationship. The scenes with Pertwee and Delgado particularly tugged on my heart strings. Well done!

If that's what does end up happening then she'd be a walking talking prequel. We know she can't die and she'd have any character development because she's gonna have to be the way she is when she first meets the 12th doctor. I honestly don't think that would be a good idea.
This is just stunning. Really changes the Master in ways you thought were not possible. You really hit this out of the park. I like how the Master has been portrayed all these years, but let's not kid ourselves, the Master is pretty evil to the core. Always doing the dark evil thing, no matter how much the Master acknowledged that it was dark and evil. But you have managed to convey what I think Moffet was trying to do in the end with this regeneration of the Master, seeing it possible for even the Master to change. Your video was outstanding.

Keep in mind that the Master has been predestined to be the polar opposite of the Doctor due to the Gallifrey exit strategy from the War.They never had the opportunity like the one that is coming. One thing's for sure, there is a lot going on in multiple levels......its nice.

I know I already commented on this video like a year ago BUT I come back to it over and over again so I feel I should comment again. I love it so much, it's the best edit of their relationship I've seen (and I've seen most of 'em and a lot are excellent!) You captured the longevity and timelessness of their friendship/love story/war whilst also keeping the heartbreak and humour feeling really immediate and fresh. Brilliant! That really, truly was! I'm still at the very beginning of watching Classic Who (I decided to start watching from the Third Doctor era) and don't know much about relations between the Doctor and the Master back then but your vid made me intrigued. I supposed they were more like the typical bad guy/good guy style in Classic episodes but I see there may be more than that. Additionaly, you made it all nicely edited. Such interesting case of relationship they have together.
