I first went to Looe in 1972 with my parents. Last week my wife and I went with our dog. Love the place it's like an old friend.

I loved this, thank you for sharing. As a child growing up in the 70's, a work colleague of my Dads had a holiday house in Looe. We went there for 5 years straight staying in a house called Penlee. I've visited twice since and the house name has since changed - shame.

Spent many happy holidays in Lois in the 50s and early 60s. Camped at Tencreek. The last time we were there we hired a caravan for a guinea a night and thought we were in the height of luxury. At that time it was just camping, a few caravans, a toilet block and a shop. Went back for honeymoon in 1971 and once after that. Happy days!

Thank you for sharing this. We go down to Looe often for a walk or meal and not much has changed in all the years. If you visit Looe or Liskeard do not miss doing the train ride in between the two towns as it is fantastic.

Great to see that not much has changed in 40 years in Looe. Even a lot of the shop names are the same. Thanks for sharing Geoff. We'll share on our page.

Glenys Jones I had my 18th birthday in Looe in 1972 came back yesterday from a weeks holiday good to see Boscarn nightclub still there! I also tried to find the caravan park which I thought was on the right going out of Looe on Polperro road can you remember if there was one? I think it is now an industrial park. I did speak with someone in the harbour he stated they are further up the road one left one on right if that is the case I walked further than I thought, but I was fitter then & only 18 lol :-) Phil

I would say that this is from the very early 1980's as I noticed the old amusement arcade next to the Guild hall. This I can remember being open when I was a lad going to Looe & Polperro in the late 70s/ Early 1980's. The hair styles also look more early 80's and no sign of flare towsers!

Love looe and polppero, if you stand on the pier in polppero and look at the houses on the hill you will see two identical ones, my mate and me said, if we ever won big on the lottery we would buy them, we are still waiting haha, STAY SAFE ALL.

I don't suppose you know the date of the video Geoff ?
I think I'm in it with my brother and nana at 21 seconds in the bottom right corner.
