I have a question please. I live in Miami. Its hot 24/7 365. I only put the heat lamp at night when we switch ac on 71-72° She has her two hides and I keep her on paper towels to keep clean. I change/clean weekly. She eats crickets dusted w vitamins and she's almost 8 inches long and healthy. Im concerned about giving extra lightning cause her enclosure can get 81° plus during the day with a ceiling fan and floor fan so we don't die. Plus she hides all day qnd only comes out at night. Should she have uvb even though she hides all day? Ty
Sounds like you are taking excellent care of your Leo! The UVB light won’t put off much heat. However, you can use it a couple hours of day around dusk or dawn if that’s a concern. Leopard Geckos typically won’t fully bask under the light, but they do “cryptic basking”, which is when they let part of their head, tail, or leg hang out the hide to catch the rays instead of their whole body. I hope that helps and thanks for watching!❤️
Nice setup! 👍
