Stop coughing it's so annoying. Or record it later
I have had some version of this cough for two years and nine months. I've spend hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars to try and heal it. I"m on two different medications and stick to a ridiculously strict diet. I go to multiple medical appointments every week. I can't just wait and record it later because I'd never be able to do my job (teach banjo). Y'all don't hear it much here because I usually only post the play-through clips where there is no talking. Please believe me when I say I AM trying to stop coughing.

Perhaps no one but Casey's family knows how hard she has worked to cure her cough! And she's finally done it! (This vid is from almost a year ago.) But the way she powered through--cough and all--and kept recording these lessons is a testament to her strength of character and determination. Yes, I'm her mother and she has my highest admiration for her work ethic, her banjo playing, her mothering, and everything else! If I could put a heart emoji here I would!

Casey, I really appreciate your lessons. I’m a guitar player in a jam group that plays out in front of an audience at least once a week. I have recently begun learning banjo and have started playing it out in the jam group because of the help I get from your lessons.

Great lesson. I really appreciated how little space is wasted. Sometimes the teacher will give a full 1-2-1-2-3-4 count off. Yours were short and effective.

Yeah, I had covid three weeks ago and still coughing. 😐 I go back and forth on the banjos. For year's I've mostly played my Kel Kroydon signature model, but we don't currently have a builder for those (Robin Smith, who used to build them, passed away three years ago) so I can't sell them at the moment. So I've been pulling our my old 11 (played here) because it sounds so dang good!

It is my 1938 Gibson TB-11 with a Huber ring and a 5- string neck that my dad built.

this was a fantastic video! it helped a lot do you think you could consider making one on his song orange juice at some point. I was able to teach myself the opening verse from watching him play the song on a banjo in this video: ua-cam.com/video/K_QN0jQTfGU/v-deo.html but once he got going fast i could not figure out what he was doing.
the video is not quite the same version of the song that would end up getting released, it has some different lyrics and the second verse is a bit slower than the actual version but its pretty close to the actual song.
@thecoastergnome8603 Yeah, this was pulled from a live performance. It’s linked in the description. I may have also adapted it a bit so it would make sense in a teaching context, but I don’t remember off the top of my head…

It was autoimmune. GAPS diet healed it.

If you are watching this video to learn the banjo then her kitchen is none of your business! If you are looking to be rude, take it somewhere else because those of us that are here to learn banjo do not need people like you in our chats!! Disgraceful!!
