    A correction regarding T2 Swift Smash is needed, since Frame data has come out.
    T2 Swift Smash is absolutely fine for non-Rig content and even in PSE its sorta stronger than Wave Crash.
    Uncharged SS gets a slight DPS boost over vanilla
    Charged SS is about the same
    Precharged is a lot better over vanilla.
    Not to mention since the speed increase only reduces the PA part of resource build-up, photonic furies remain unchanged. This makes T2 SS way better at generating resources than Vanilla (elemental downs, Pursuit, etc.). It's definitely something worth running!

      I love the type 2. It's very usable and integrates well into both mid distance and melee range attacks.

    These customizations are so much fun! Talis hitscan and faster Foie especially seem great.
    Also, the visuals in the video are a great help. Kudos!

    Spamming Swift Smash with T2 during a PSE Burst as a Techter/Force is just so much fun 🤣

      makes me wonder what the Wave Crash customizations will be because that button feels a bit obsolete now

    I'd say for general use both 2 and 3 are fine 🥰 Type 3 gives more guage build-up for pursuit, which can lead to overall higher DPS while keeping the same combat style. Type 2 removes the gap closer but keeps the guard point, and the reduced potency is made up for by the increased motion speed, resulting in roughly the same DPS as the original (actually slightly higher with near perfect charge-release timing, which I probably can't do 😝). The shockwave is not only good for killing mobs (imo better than wave crash), but also good at preventing DPS loss when fighting targets that move around. The wide range, as mentioned, can cause the damage to go to unintended places, but having fought Solus for almost a week with it I've never really had an issue. For gap-closers, while not as fast, we still have skip beat. Not to mention it's just more fun after using the same PA for such a long time 😋
    Overall I'd say it's best to invest in both 2 and 3, and choose the one based on the content. The best part about both 2 and 3 is that you get the full effect at lvl1, and the increased PP consumption imo isn't actually that big an issue ☺

      Yeah it was a bit of an unfortunate timing where the Frame data was publicized right after i uploaded the vid but yeah absolutely. Uncharged SS ends up being stronger than vanilla, Charged is roughly the same and Pre-charge is a lot stronger! The few times you'd need to gapclose in Solus you can just camp with ranged attacks. A friend of mine actually cleared DF Solus solo with T2 Swift Smash!

      @@Cathy5614 Solus was the use case I was considering trying T2 on. Hitting his arms in P1 can be a massive pain with regular smash.

    This was very helpful, I haven't made any changes yet so this was good to hear. I hate talis outside of mobbing PSE bursts but I might take another look at it.

    im laughing at the talis accuracy part so much xD
    also ive changed my views with t2 swift. once i got used to just using other things for gapclosing t2 actually feels better just coz its faster and easier to fit in between attacks compared to its other crafts. the fomelgion like hitbox is still a problem sometimes but once youre up close its not a problem anymore(like fomelgion too) so just stick to the boss as much as you possibly can and its a-okay!

    OMG. I'm so glad you made this video. I literally ignored all of the TechArts because it was just words on a screen to me and it would have been too much work to get the materials, try it out and then not like it.
    That said, I might go for the Shockwave Wand customization. I know it'll be sub-optimal, but damn, does that not look fun to just shoot out beams of energy from your wand.

    • @Cathy5614
      @Cathy5614  10 місяців тому +2

      It might actually not be suboptimal. Frame Data has come out suggesting its either on par or better depending on the situation!

    I actually like the slow speed of charged Zan because of how good it is for crowds. At the right distance, you can launch a charged tech before launching the uncharged version, and because the uncharged version is so much faster, you can mark enemies in the time it takes for the charged shot to hit them. It's amazing...and also fun because of how it throws things out of order.

    As I've learned and tried these TA I'm disappointed that I didn't read SwiftSmash TA2 correctly. The removing of forward movement was so weird when trying it out and not understanding why you don't close in. After that I've read the Elemental techs more closely and apparently chose the best option for Foie, the faster attack speed is quite noticeable. Don't use much Zan as let's be honest Zonde is better with AoE. Grants unlocked TA1, it certainly takes some getting used to, as Skip Beat takes longer to charge and launching you closer to the locked on part. Will try TA3 Grants and see if that makes it more comfortable to play.
    From the things I tried out, I agree with you. I'm just surprised that the cost for TA Tech Discs is the most expensive... Is it because of the Bouncer rework and everyone is learning it? Guess I'll have to go back to Leciel.
    Again great video, coherent and to the point.

    I main Bouncer, but I have no idea if they are worth using or not, because I mainly use techs to either change element or burst a seal and I have no idea if it is relevant to JB attacks. I just chose elemental down since I thought the 1st 2 would be irrelevant if i'm just firing it off once in a fight, so at least I get a slight benefit.

    PA customization is something that I loved in base pso2 but the system felt a bit too heavy. So I just followed whatever was recommended and never got further into it. The NGS system is different but I like that some of the customs change the behavior the skill so I'm looking forward to more of them in the future. Shame grants didn't get a hitscan custom for itself but I could see them either adding more once the roster is filled up (in 7 years)

    • @Cathy5614
      @Cathy5614  10 місяців тому +2

      To be quite fair, PSO2's customization System didn't had much to go into. It suffered heavily from the "solved meta" issue. NGS one so far seems to be much more side-grade orientated which is really cool imo!

    I feel like the customizations are just very min/maxy. None of them really seem to serve a purpose other than the illusion of getting something better, unlike crafted PA's from base which drastically changed the skills.

    • @Cathy5614
      @Cathy5614  10 місяців тому +1

      Thats because youre comparing it to the wrong thing. Type-0 PA were made out of necessity and not to allow customization. Technique crafting in base was the equivalent system and it suffered a lot from the solved Meta issue, where 1 craft was mandatory and the other virtually useless. Here all 3 options seem equally viable depending on content
      Furthermore we're not getting new PA due to PA bloat. The devs havent released a class with more than 4 PA since 2017

    • @Cathy5614
      @Cathy5614  10 місяців тому +1

      @@simonmaduxx6777 Thats not an excuse that's literally how it is and has been for years. We didnt have options. Either only 4-5 PA were worth using in PSO2 or you had so many PA you had to start using the subpallete which is utterly atrocious for controller players.
      Scion classes were so popular on JP barely anyone played Regular classes anymore because of said bloat issues on top of having to craft their PA / Techs to be even worth using. Asking for more PA isnt smart, if you want variety chamge your Multiweapon
