That is pretty much the story with our cat, he just showed on our porch one day and once I fed him some salmon he didn't want to go anywhere else. That was 9 years ago this July!
Us too..didn't like where she lived...sat on the back doorstep, and wouldn't move...fed her and that was it..had her for 8 years..miss you Samantha... ( named after Bewitched )... Our next cat we called Tabitha..😁

I firmly believe animals choose their human hosts. I've seen this constantly through my 60 years. I think this speaks about your soul and your place in the world. If animals don't like you, you should be prepared for place slightly warmer.

There was a cat I figured was a stray but he was skittish and not that hungry so I guess he did have a home and then, apparently, he got run over. Keeping my eyes open, though. I'm allergic to cats but I'm getting to the point where I'm desperate to try again. If that fails, an outdoor cat is better than nothing and an improvement for all concerned but I'm not going to risk adopting one for its own sake.
@@immortalsofar5314 I have outdoor cats (and had an indoor cat, who died recently). The outdoor cats are like dogs and follow me through the garden and my chores! So, a cared-for outdoor cat is still considered a good pet! Another life saved. My son is allergic to cats but we have found that IF he pets them and then washes his hands immediately(without touching his face) that he doesn't seem affected. I hope there is a cat in your future as you seem to be an animal lover ...and a pigeon, rabbit or cat would be lucky to be your fur baby! I am sure that it will happen! Good Luck!
We have a Billy cat, a young man lost his apartment and could not take Billy with him. He is a good match for buddy, our 5 year old f.i.v. cat who is not lonely anymore.

I have a herd. They show up, I take care of them. 2 recently came from a neighbors herd, we feed better, they went from scared to demanding tickles. I've been called the cat whisperer. I love everyone of them, silly and different as they are.
OMG!! That looks like my Missy when I got her. She was the same size and she was starving, and had flees and worms. I took her to the vets and got her the treatments she needed. I also got her chipped in case she got lost. She is now 9 yrs old. She is a talker and sleeps under the covers with me. Thank you for saving that sweet little angel. Big brother take care of your new little sister. She is adorable. 🥰❤️🐈⬛💕❤️

I love how often these "found kitten on the street" stories have a "before/after" sequence, and the cats are just huge chonkers 🤣
