You mentioned with Hp you are less vulnerable to penetration rushing, which was intriguing and i can see that. To follow up on that I wanted to remind you of another metric in League. High resistance, after a certain flat amount, actually starts countering penetration. It's like this: Armour/MR counters Lethality/mpen, gold-wise %penetration counters armour/mr BUT Just like resistances have diminishing returns, %penetration ALSO has diminishing returns. Consider this example: 100 armour gives you 50% damage reduction 200 armour gives you 66% dmg reduction 200*0,65=130 giving you a 55% dmg reduction, down from 66%. 300 armour you have 75% dmg reduction, 400 armour you have 80% dmg reduction, 400*0,65=260 giving you a 70% dmg reduction, down from 80% dmg reduction. Imagine what this does at higher armour & MR values. (RIP gargoyles) Either way the wiki has a good article on it, with the following probably a good guideline: Because the gold value of 1 health is roughly 7.7 times smaller than 1 point of armor (as of V8.7), distribution per point of health or armor should be 11.5% gold into health and 88.5% gold into armor once the 'health = armor + 100' equilibrium is reached.
