The very first time ' the rains of castamere' sung in tyrion's first war,he commanded to win against stannis baratheon in the blackwater bay... The next we hear from stannis baratheon daughter sung this song.. third hears from red wedding 😪
The very first time I watched this scene I didn’t know anything about Lannister song or The Red Wedding (or anything about GOT in general), but when I saw Catelyn turned her head that way and that “sad/funeral” song play in the back, I knew they will be all dead. What amazing actress and production.
You can see the despair on her face as the song plays, she knows that something bad is going to happen and knows it has something to do with the Lannisters i honestly feel so bad for her but the song is really pretty
@@myahasanam7532Not as smart as you think. Yes, it destroyed the Northern rebellion but it violated the one absolutely inviolate social custom in doing so and forever cursed anyone who had anything to do with it.
And the moment when she looks below Roose's shirt and sees the armor, and looks at him and he looks at her. Cately and Grey Wind were the only ones aware of the impeding doom!
Knowing the history of GOT made this moment so good. Even though I didn’t expect the slaughter after. First time watching I was like, I swear thats the lannisters song, why on earth are they playing that.
I was expecting that the people would start choking on wine because of poison, or the fire would consume the hall. But they gave us the blood bath because other options were used for different events in the story.
The fact that i exactly knew what was going to happen(someone spoilered) when i watched the show, but still refused to believe it (unconscious denial) to the moment i heard rains of castamere. Realized it was over😢
For a first time reaction (Given you haven't already read A Storm Of Swords), the panic here is so goddam accurate for the audience as well. Because almost none of us would recognise the song at this time, we're left with only this horrible feeling that something just isn't right; the doors are closed, the music takes a turn, and Catelyn looks terrified. The rest is history.
Does anyone know the name of the melody that was playing before the Frey man closed the doors? I don't mean "the rains of Castamere" but the happy melody.
The next time you're at a family gathering and you're the one musician in the family and everyone is like "hey Rockstar play us a song!" And hand you a random guitar from the corner, just play this. They won't ask you to do it again. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I wonder who was the drama queen who came up with the idea. Frey was asshole enough but this kind of insult seems like something Tywin would come up with.
In the end, the stark pup avenged the young wolf and the mother wolf but while winter came for the twins, the pup never saw the young wolf or the mother wolf ever again...
It was kind of Robb's fault for breaking one of ONLY 2 promises he made to Walder Frey "for love" so how did he AND CATLYN STARK, who knew walder frey better than anyone, not expect him to betray them lol
Agree. He got what he deserved. In the TV show it's much worse because he really married for selfish reasons ("love") while asking thousands of men to sacrifice their life on the battlefield for him and his family. In the books he doesn't marry for love but for "honor" because he takes the virginity of a Westerland noble girl in a moment of weakness (after learning the "death" of his brothers) and believed he was forced to marry her for "honor reasons" so it's more stupidity (the same kind of "honorable stupidity" that killed his father), but in the TV show he has no excuse and totally deserved what he gets.
"No one sang the words, but Catelyn knew "The Rains of Castamere" when she heard it."
Is it how it goes in the book?
@@glowy_subject3050 yes, that is a quote from the book.
@glowy_subject3050 great gods
Her reaction was absolutely perfect, i was panicking the whole time!
Are you live?
They closed the door? - sus
They're playing Rains of Castamere? - HHMMMM sus
Me: Fuck this I am not dying tonight
Getting stabbed with a sword - THAT'S SUS!
Lord Bolton smiling: HMMMM susy baka
I never knew this was the Lannister theme the first time round , it was only when I rewatched the series I picked up on her reaction and why
Same here. I'm getting a lot more out of it a second time around
The very first time ' the rains of castamere' sung in tyrion's first war,he commanded to win against stannis baratheon in the blackwater bay... The next we hear from stannis baratheon daughter sung this song.. third hears from red wedding 😪

Me too
If I ever hear this song at a wedding, I'm flipping the damn table and running for the door.
However, the door would already be locked. I wish you good luck with that.
if you hear this tune it is already too late
Then I won't invite you to mine's

Blood bath by the smart tywin

“Why do I hear boss music?”
😂😂😂😂😂😂
And the moment when she looks below Roose's shirt and sees the armor, and looks at him and he looks at her. Cately and Grey Wind were the only ones aware of the impeding doom!
The instant fucking horror that starts to appear on her face is still amazing
it all started when She saw the soldier heading towards the door. Her panic reaction was so Lite.. chills
This is exactly this scene I was looking for. Perfect.
Catelyn knew something was off when that song played.
She knew everything was off after that
She knew the singer was off.
My whole body was frozen along with Catelyn when I first heard that..I didn't know the song well at the time but I know that's a Lannister theme.
"But now the rains weep o'er his hall
And not a soul to hear"
I promised my friend if she ever got married, I'd play this at her wedding
Bruh
lmao

How did you learn the history of the universe and successfuly avoid spoilers for the series?

I was expecting that the people would start choking on wine because of poison, or the fire would consume the hall. But they gave us the blood bath because other options were used for different events in the story.
the sad thing is that robb is wayyy too young to even know this song since the reynes went extinct decades before he was even born
I disagree, that means he'd have grown up hearing it, as the shadow cast by Tywin was redoubled after the sack of King's Landing
And now the rains weep for our halls
With no one there to hear...
@@glowy_subject3050Yes now the rains

and in that moment, catelyn knew, robb had fucked up
He fucked up the Starks the moment he laid eyes on his wife.
We are so young to know rains of castamere... And the red weeding make us never forget.
This scene is literally " moment before disaster" 😢
Man, it pains me to hear Grey Wind howling helplessly.
this episode was terrifying
0:30 that's will champion from Coldplay🤯

"Ladies and Gentleman.......fasten your seatbelts"
I was waiting the entire episode for this and thought they had changed it because it was so few minutes left.
The sound of that gate closing alone achieves better storytelling than the whole of seasons 5 to 8 combined.
This popped up on my feed after I felt like rewatching the show and HOW IS THIS VIDEO OVER A DECADE OLD? HOLY SHIT!
Thanks man
Cat be like
“Fuck.”
The most beautiful rendition of that song for the ugliest moment. Gotta love GoT!
It was this moment when Catelyn Starks knew they are f*cked up 😂

No better show than this❤❤❤
I thought this was her wedding song or something when they first played it. I had no clue lol
My heart breaks everytime when i see grey wind dying 😢
Show characters at the wedding:What's happening.
Show watchers at their own wedding:Bro, f this lets bail.
the best scean of all cineamas!!!
"Lannisters send their guitars"
Ohhhhhh fuuuuuuuuuuudge...
ONLY I DIDN'T SAY FUDGE
What is the song before the rains of castamere? Sound wonderful
I remember watching a video that said this was the moment she knew it was over for them
Does anyone know the name of the melody that was playing before the Frey man closed the doors? I don't mean "the rains of Castamere" but the happy melody.
The bear and the maiden fair
It was at that moment Catelyn knew their fate was sealed.
I will play this at my wedding. Those who know, will know
I just saw this part. I still hadnt gone through Edd Starks death.

"looord walder,lord walder stop!"
The lannisters send their regards 😈
I would be telling them lords to quickly protect the king. 😳
in the book, they tried. they all did everything they could to protect Robb.
Little did we knew...
I wonder who was the drama queen who came up with the idea. Frey was asshole enough but this kind of insult seems like something Tywin would come up with.
This music told the audience that what is going to happen to Starks.

Fuck.
The song that says "Execute Order 66"
Even if you are dont know the books, you can feel its going down to blood in the music...

One way to kill your enemies. Lannisters were the most cunning ones in the lore.

The North Remembers.
The Writers sadly don't ...

Technically It's reynes of castamere
The song title is The Rains of Castamere. It's a play on words due to Reyne and Rain being homophones.
@@BlazeIgnitus yeah but in the universe ots called reyens Castaneda tho right?

The rain is weeping for the Reynes.
