Taking a look at the Rohde & Schwarz ESH-3 radio receiver

The R&S is a solid state radio receiver that covers from 9 kHz (VLF) to 30 MHz (HF). It was launched in the 1980s as a test receiver, meant at performing different measurements with radio signals (rather than just tuning the radio bands). It can be connected directly to a Rohde & Schwarz loop receiving antenna by means of a special connector on the front panel. It is of course a magnificent radio receiver, probably one of the best of its time.

This is awesome! is it possible to use a panadapter such as sdrplay from its IF output port in the back. Manual says 75 mhz of bandwidth. Really interesting piece of equipment. Thanks for posting it.

Rohde and Schwarz, excellent quality but extremely expensive!

Un Lujo de 5.000€ +- lastima del cierre de emisoras de onda corta malos tiempos para los viejos Radioescuchas.... y ese Smeter super preciso pero me pone de los nervios vaila más que las luces una discoteca

Cierto, Félix. Pero afortunadamente aún quedan muchas cosas interesantes que escuchar en HF, y desde luego en las ondas media y larga.
