My uncle is the vocalist on the original dear momma. I remember I heard that song before it came out when I was a kid. Honestly I didn't like it at first because this was the 90s in California and gangsta rap was the shit. So hearing this type of song was like naaa lol. But it's funny how the song went on to be maybe pac's biggest song ever. Crazy story is that my uncle said that my dad was originally supposed to sing the hook but he was in London at the time and so my uncle sang it but used my dad as an inspiration in his vocal delivery on the song because he had always looked up to him as a singer.
