Thanks so much--this video is super helpful. I've been using Ableton for exactly this purpose for the past six months or so, and you probably just cut my workflow time in half.
@@DanielSeriffMusic looking forward to those videos. Quick question. I’ve been programming in drum tracks using a mouse, in the same way that you demonstrated. Do you think using a small midi keyboard would be easier?
@@DanielSeriffMusic Thats sounds great! I'm a Logic Pro user and I like it a whole lot, but I'm intrigued by Ableton Live and its workflow. Maybe it can be an avenue to even more musical inspiration. I have subscribed so I won't miss any of your (hopefully) upcoming Ableton videos =)
Great video, one advise. Once you define the drums track, go to warp and select lead in the options that are below warp. For the other tracks, select follow. That way, all other tracks will sync to drums.
Thanks for the comment. That's really interesting... I've never needed to do that and all the tracks always follow the drums because they are sycned via the global tempo. I will check into that but it doesn't seem necessary.
Hey cool! I'm using a UAD Apollo for my guitar sounds. Miked a cab in the other room with a royer 121, sm57. The monitors I recently upgraded to Focals because I got an amazing deal. Mac computer.
Really enjoyed this video, although my DAW of choice is Reaper. Confident I can use some of these tips on it, especially the drum and metronome advice. Thanks for all you do ..... I subscribed last week, guitar lessons are awesome. Loved the Midnight In Harlem jam!! Cheers Daniel, all your work is so much appreciated!!
I would love to see a video of making a 6/8 12 bar blues including chords, guitar solo AND guitar warp example. Too much? Thanks for your videos, all so well explained.

Awesome Sir ! You're a natural teacher ... and the pop-up captions were very helpful! Keep on producing brother, thanks!
Jason!! Thanks so much man. I really appreciate that.

I much prefer clicking the notes in but some people prefer the midi keyboard.

Hey Phil! Thanks so much man. Glad to have you here and happy that it was helpful! These idea definitely translate to other DAWs.
Great tutorial! One quick question : How do I loop that 8 bars I just created?
It will automatically loop as long as the play head is triggered.

That sounds like fun. I’m into it!
@@DanielSeriffMusic Yessss!!!!!
Which **minimum** version of Ableton Live do you need to do this: Lite, Standard or Suite ?
$99 entry level works just fine
Ableton has neglected live guitar playing for far to long...BIG MISTAKE Ableton...Many people are tired of Techno etc etc.
Interesting
