I was literally just thinking about the same thing (that you said on the title) after I completed Spiral Abyss and Imaginarium Theatre. It’s that since my C0 Yelan has always been one of my most used characters on my account, I’m kinda amazed on how very relevant she is even at this moment. Well, it’s not that unexpected since she was the most ‘broken’ character in the game before Neuvillette joined in, so basically I’m just glad that she is still as good as she’s always been… truly an everlasting and timeless character.
I wished for her minutes after the banner was released, I hot her on guaranteed. After an hour, I pulled again and got her on back to back for her C2. I lost all my luck just for her constellations. On the standard banner, I got Jean in three pulls and Skyward Harp right after two wishes. That's all my luck after skipping multiple good banners.
I don't think she's an absolute most pull anymore, but I do enjoy using mine a lot. She's extremely easy to build, I got mine an acceptable emblem set after a bit of farming while my Xingqiu still is on 20/80 crit rate crit dmg, and I think that ease of build is one of the best things going for her
She saved my account. My account is at lv 45 but my team max damage is 3k. When i pulled her with my 7th wish, I up her to lv 40 and throw her ton of HP% artifact. She carries just like that till i found her boss material. Just a great value character.
Pulled for her when she first came out to C3R1. Saved primos again and then got her to C6 this time. She's a fave and it's great that she's also very powerful.

You can also play Yelan in a double hydro core with Furina. You just have to use a healer (Baizhu, Xianyun, Jean or Kokomi in a mono hydro team) and a main dps that works with the healer (Clorinde, Raiden, Yoimiya or Hu Tao with Baizhu or Jean, or Hu Tao with Xianyun)
Honestly, outside of being an amazing support, Yelan is just fun to play with. There’s nothing like have two Anemo character, a speed boost, and just zoom with her skill. Especially if you have C1, where you get two charges. The quickest way difference between Yelan and Xingqiu is that that the later has more defense properties while the former is more offensive. I see Yelan as someone you don’t need, but is really nice to have at least one copy of her.
Yelan is the very first limited banner character I won at guaranteed and I wanted her sooo bad. She is just that good 😭😭😭 so sad i kinda benched her after I got Furina, but I will never forget how she carried me
i've been using her since 2.8 and she is one of the best support in a team comp like mono hydro, raiden national, arlecchino vaporize, alhaitham hyperbloom, and many other teamcom i can't mention here. i mainly use elegy for her instead of her signature weapon.

I just reinstalled Genshin after picking up ZZZ, and quickly realized I still have the same problem I did when I quit - I feel like I have no clear second team. I'm hoping the Meowreii community can offer some help! My main team is hyperbloom anchored by Ayato, Nahida, and Kuki. I'm so spoiled with hyperbloom that I have no idea what to do with my second team despite trying dozens of different combos. If I could have two Nahidas and two Kukis I'd just play hyperbloom twice. And at AR 55 it's getting expensive to invest in multiple combinations for a second team, so while I have like 12 other characters at level 80, I'd really like to just settle on one group of 4 to take the rest of the way. Sadly, I lack the kind of 5 star DPS that makes makes building my second team around them a no-brainer. The only extra 5 stars I have available are Yelan, Keqing, Venti, and uh... Diluc. Since I've been gone for about a year, now's a perfect time to re-evaluate by back-half foursome, and I'd appreciate any advice anyone wants to give. Options below (not listing every 4 star but I have most of them up to 3.8 or so): Hydro: Yelan, XQ Electro: Keqing, Fischl, Beidou Anemo: Sucrose, Venti Pyro: Xiangling and Bennet, basically Cryo: no 5 stars Dendro: no 5 stars, no Yaoyao Geo: no 5 stars I've fine with planning on pulling for someone who's going to act more as an anchor, but in the meantime I have to take a pretty random mishmash of mostly 4 star characters and come up with SOMETHING to get me through spiral abyss.
I'm ngl one of the better moves you can make is probably just run a Yelan/XQ/Xiangling/Bennett team. Chances are once you pull another 5 star character they're going to want one or multiple of those units for their team. If you absolutely hate one of them tho Sucrose is a solid on-field driver for vaporize or taser teams.
@@Meowreii yeah I'm dumb so while I'll probably end up with that, I decided to try something else (and definitely not meta) first: Kaveh, Yelan, Kirara, Sucrose salad. I know, I know. But I already had Yelan and Sucrose built and I already had artifacts for Kaveh and Kirara so all it's really costing me to try it is levelling up 1.5 characters I probably won't end up using (Kirara could at least get some use even if Kaveh doesn't). Back to vape - I assume Diluc still kind of sucks if you don't have the new plunge attack girl?
by the time you pull for a neuvilette C1 R1 or a Furina C2 or a Mualani C0 R1, remember if you invested all these resources into a yelan c6, at this point u would have one of the most broken DPS of the game. (that can still be used as SUB DPS, Looking at you Arlecchino C6 Yelan C6) unless you are rly starving for a new unit? (to do what there is no endgame lol) if you are willing to play for the long run this char will give you the most ceiling in the end. and before that she is still a fantastic at many sweet spot, C1, C2, C4 etc.
I would've wanted to use yanfei as a shielder but i only have her c3 so I'll use thoma instead. But can yanfei just become the main dps? I am really bad at this game in a way that i cant visualize a proper team because i can't understand how they work no matter how much i read them and just follow guides. I dont have many 5 star units so i cant follow most of the teams that guide makers put. But yours give my 4 stars hope. I have gaming,thoma xingqiu and yanfei so i think i can do it.
In abyss I personnaly use her now almost always with furina, kazuha and jean truly an insane team that demolish everythin due kazu+furina buffs. But else ye Yelan will stay relevant for long time specialy for new ppl bcs xinq is only better in hydro application if u get his c6 and overall having 2 amazing off field hydro units wont hurt specialy with the new end game where u need quite a bunch of character built.

I’m a yelan main, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but imo she’s a very solid character at any point in the game. She’s been a staple in every comp I’ve used over the last couple of years (hyperbloom, vape, freeze, taser, etc.). I have her C6, so I can naturally do a bit more with her, but even at C0 she’ll still be a good sub dps that can hit off-field with her ult and provide your team with strong hydro application/dmg
Yes she is very versatile so she can work with almost everything early or late game. You should have a favonious bow early game which is one of if not the best free 2 play weapon for her so you just have to look up food artifacts you can build her with. Her best set to my knowledge is in Inazuma but I wouldn't recommend artifact farming early game anyway that's best saved for AR 45 and above for guaranteed 5 star artifacts

kuki, fischl, yelan, and nahida are a pretty good hyperbloom team for now, and Neuvilette and Furina together are broken. It depends on what you want, but for now I’d say Nahida and either Furina and Neuvilette (whoever comes first) would be the most beneficial just cuz you have a pretty good team for Nahida and Furina and Neuvi are broken. I think Nahida should be top priority tho lol. If you think you really need a healer or you just wanna make the game 10x easier in the overworld, go for Kokomi.

Question would my yelan be better with 150 er in double hydro with water boy with 80 to 90 crit rate to 160 crit dmg or 200 er double hydro with 60 to 70 crit rate and 160 crit dmg
definitely 200 er so you don't have to change your build whenever you're not pairing her with xingqiu. but if you know you're only gonna use her with xingqiu, you can get away with less energy recharge.
A lot better than Recurve Bow in terms of just HP% value, but you're never getting 3 stacks on the passive for the elemental burst crit rate. Usually not worth over the energy focused options unless you're running Xingqiu/Raiden with Yelan to help her energy.
Pretty much nothing. Having just an ER weapon + the 20% ER from the 2-set Emblem should already be more than enough if both Raiden and a second hydro are on the same team as Yelan.
I think 30k HP including hydro resonance and her ascension passive that increases HP is a good goal to shoot for. Imo there's no "stopping point" though and as long as your Yelan has enough ER to burst whenever you need her to + decent crit stats, it's a good build.
Not recommended to use Lyney's signature, the ATK% and charged attack bonuses are completely wasted on Yelan. Elegy is way better for easing your build and buffing the team :)
If Furina is your only 5 star you can hold out on Yelan and look for a DPS coming in Natlan! Having Furina + hopefully Xingqiu on your account should be enough.
Damage-wise, Signature weapon. That’s what I did. But her signature weapon reduces her burst utility. Whereas when I equip her with R5 fav bow, she has a 100% uptime burst (200 er).
I dont have alhaitham, clorinde, or hutao/father, i basically dont have the dps you mentioned in the vid should i still pull for her, im f2p so i need to know. (I alr have furina c0 and xq c6)

Passive is definitely nice but the ATK% stat is useless on Yelan, making it mediocre at best. Too much pressure on your artifacts to make up for the lack of any HP%, ER%, or crit on Mouun's Moon.

definitely 200 er so you don't have to change your build whenever you're not pairing her with xingqiu. but if you know you're only gonna use her with xingqiu, you can get away with less energy recharge.
I want to say 200 ER just for the flexibility. If you're always going to run Yelan with XQ nothing wrong with a lower ER higher crit build though.

A lot better than Recurve Bow in terms of just HP% value, but you're never getting 3 stacks on the passive for the elemental burst crit rate. Usually not worth over the energy focused options unless you're running Xingqiu/Raiden with Yelan to help her energy.
How much er do i need if i run double hydro and raiden?
Pretty much nothing. Having just an ER weapon + the 20% ER from the 2-set Emblem should already be more than enough if both Raiden and a second hydro are on the same team as Yelan.

I think 30k HP including hydro resonance and her ascension passive that increases HP is a good goal to shoot for. Imo there's no "stopping point" though and as long as your Yelan has enough ER to burst whenever you need her to + decent crit stats, it's a good build.

Not recommended to use Lyney's signature, the ATK% and charged attack bonuses are completely wasted on Yelan. Elegy is way better for easing your build and buffing the team :)

If Furina is your only 5 star you can hold out on Yelan and look for a DPS coming in Natlan! Having Furina + hopefully Xingqiu on your account should be enough.

Damage-wise, Signature weapon. That’s what I did. But her signature weapon reduces her burst utility. Whereas when I equip her with R5 fav bow, she has a 100% uptime burst (200 er).

Passive is definitely nice but the ATK% stat is useless on Yelan, making it mediocre at best. Too much pressure on your artifacts to make up for the lack of any HP%, ER%, or crit on Mouun's Moon.

Furina is better. Neuvilette relies on his charged whereas with yelan's burst she requires the character to do normal attacks. So kinda a waste on him
