I stayed at the Chelsea about 14 years ago and it was pretty much like any budget hotel.

Well, just try to go TODAY at the Chelsea, introduce yourself as an unhealthy street-artist and ask for a room in credit...even try to offer them your artworks as payment...you'll see how fast they'll kick you straight out.
