“I walked through blood and bones trying to find my brother. He was in Northern Canada.” - Norm MacDonald
I survived 9/11 too. The planes only missed my building by 400 miles and two states.
+MakerInMotion Funnier than anything that was said in this video LOL, with no disrespect to.......... just Jimmy. Have a thumbs up my friend :D
Are you ok? That's a really really close call.
+Frank N Stein
You're Welcome. I always put other people's safety above my own. Rescued 380 people that day. But who's counting?
CAN ANYONE FIND THE STEVE RANNAZZISI'S WTF EPISODE CAUSE I SURE AS SHIT CANT FIND IT
It was a close one, but i survived in South Australia!
He was called out by the NY times who confronted him, after which he admitted the lie. He did not spontaneously admit it. He also has been saying this between 2002-2011
Yeah Pete really undersold how shitty it was
@@gethaunted I think he's being extremely kind and choosing to take a higher road.
@@dancinggold17 they had already talked to each other at this point so he probably felt some sort of obligation to not roast him.
@penskepc2374 Dude, I Am Really Really Having Explosive Anus
lying about this story, bringing it up unprompted in interviews, using it to gain fame, adding to the story and changing elements of it over 14 years is basically psychotic behaviour and should not be forgiven.
I love how Elijah wood just shows up lol
He seems like a really genuine person, to me.
Bruh i just read the description, and was like Elijah Wood?? Lol
@@molassio1989 I really like him, like you said very genuine, heart on the sleeve kinda guy. He's great in Wilfred and Guns Akimbo too so I think he's got a good sense of humour
Elijah Wood is a huge hiphop head and pops up all over stuff like this just in the back watching
My name is Brian Williams, and I was there as well. I saw Steve react bravely as the unfortunate events unfolded.
David Hogg confirmed that you were there.
U could know he’s lying because Brian Williams isn’t known for telling the most truthful stories..
@Imight Realperson You can't really be this stupid?
He actually caught me as he was
exiting the tower. I threw myself out of the 90th floor due to the smoke and fire, lucky Steve was there to catch me.
Your name is Miles Wes
Holy fuck I never noticed how skinny Pete's arms are. He's got that Snoop Dogg build.
Weird part is, if you were in the city that day and you saw it all happen, that’s almost just as powerful and good of an origin story
I was there in 93 and 01
@@ScottsStockDueDiligencei was there in march 2020.
Anything money
Absolutely fascinating. The detail he went into was just.. wow.
Which made the Stern interview even more hilarious
Sad man. Considering Pete’s dad died on that day it’s a strange interview.
"you know let me just call my dad" HOLY SHIT! Go in Pete! I lost it at "I'm the only 9/11 boy!"
I lost my Dad in a tragic event at seven. Pete seems to be able to have same sense of humor about his life that I do. It might be too much for some people, but I get it.
Also, random observation, @ 10:14 Elijah looks like Hitler.
Pete has a great sense of humor.
As long as it’s funny, he’s cool with other comedians making jokes about his dad being murdered on 9/11. He even laughs at these jokes. Will Smith needs to take a lesson from the much younger Pete Davidson about being able to take a joke, even if it cuts a little deep.
He DOES look like Hitler.
I know pete was joking when he said "let me call my dad" but you can see the hurt in his face after he stops laughing....anyone who lost a parent dreams and wishes they can pick up the phone and call them
I never called my dad to talk when he was alive. Not that we didn't talk a lot, I was a smart kid and he was interested in things like philosophy, science, and history. I lived at home because I was a kid, and it was the 90's, so I never chatted with him on the phone once... after he died, I had the compulsion to call him.. and it lasted for years. It took a bit of conditioning to stop breaking my own heart like that.
I sure wish I could give him a call.
@@ATBatmanMALS31god bless you brother
all the time
That's what you do after you make a joke, your smile fades. You don't just keep smiling non-stop like a lunatic.
damn that hurts@@ATBatmanMALS31
Love Opie's reaction to Elijah's comment on Mob mentality on the internet.
+Drew Russell priceless.
***** Ah they both needed to get it out of there systems. They said when the time is right they would get back together so I'm not blaming Op for that. Although he didn't handle it well, he was very honest when he got it out, to the point where he started crying. That's pretty tough to hear listening to it.
I had falling dreams too. Along with half of the rest of the country that watched it all day on television.
“I was on the Hindenburg” I fucking lost it hahahaha
Poor Pete just looks so uncomfortable during the reading of Steve’s quote
He was actually in northern Canada
He is obviously a pathological liar. He probably started telling it privately to people he met just to be the center of attention and over time he had told it so much that on some level he believed it himself and was comfortable telling it even publicly. After you tell a story a bunch of times you're not even really recalling the event, you're telling the story of the last time you told the story, but how could he not know that eventually someone would point out that he never worked there?
You nailed it. I knew Steve personally in Los Angeles and he'd tell this story of 911 BS at parties. His friends from NY would look at him as if Wtf? You never worked in the towers. He would just shush them. 🤫
@@EliteDrachi On Stern he says that it started as a small lie that he couldn't unwind and that it was a source of stress for him since the beginning. Then WHY THE FUCK does he launch into a DETAILED account, UNPROMPTED, during his Marin interview.
Jimmy saying Justin looks like The Woman Who Wasn't There 😂
Steve sounds like his character on The League, horribly lying unconvincingly
At 11 minutes when Jim says"Thats what pete says" after opie brings up his Dad dying in the tower. Now I remember why I like Jim.
There were mugs nocked all to and fro it was awful
Norm Macdonald was there too. He was looking for his brothers while he walked through all the blood and bones. Turns out his brother was in Canada the whole time.
@10:54 LMFAO! Norton with the Rickles impression. Several years later, he plays a young Rickles in The Irishman.
happy you got pete for this
Lying is such a trick, my family are all liars and it becomes habitual, but they lived in a time where no one could fact check them and so they just say whatever, and it's impossible to tell what the truth is because they have become great at it
This is such a classic moment! What a wild story, but an incredible segment with the perfect dude for it, Pete
Can't believe Pete was only 22 here
This makes me love Pete Davidson, what a great sport. Wish him well.
But Pete used his 911 tragedy to advance his comedy career, too, not by lying. but having it brought up that due to his father's firefather's death. he was treated like a 911 poster child, or using it in his act. Many people until this day are still suffering from the trauma, disruption, health issues: including possible cancer or DNA changes that FUTURE generations may endure and not compensated.a single penny.
Pete is a AMAZING person! He's very genuine....And cares DEEPLY about others more than himself.
@@notsogreen dude stfu. He’s rich because he’s TALENTED. Not because his dad died in 9/11 smh.

Love all of Jimmy's facial expressions.
Coming back to watch this video is as important as watching the Christmas story at Christmas time
Love these inside vids Opie, keep 'em coming.
Actually, i remember seeing the first plane hit and my first thought was that the pilot of was drunk. Pilots often had the reps of being drunk. When the 2nd one hit, I was like, NO FUCKING WAY this a drunk thing. Jimmy is great with revisionist history. Like Opie said, if he said this shit on the show, Jim 100% would have been lapping it up
Naa, you're just stupid. Dude flew right into the middle of the building and anyone who isn't a buffoon knew it wasn't a drunk pilot lol. Grow up, Peter Pan.
how is this shot so nicely?
Elijah "he's in for the long rouse" 😂
Really knows how to hijack the conversion

+keith edwards gollum
And now he is with Ariana Grande
nihongogogo she's one of those girls that thinks she can fix guys that have issue's. Unfortunately Pete wouldn't be the trainwreck that he is if fame never got to his head.
Captain Mutato he's a train wreck?
Keith besides his shitty lowbrow comedy yeah he's been heavy into drugs and drinking, wasn't like that before he blew up but with the money & fame came the drugs & partying
I legit forgot Elijah Woods was in the room
“I’M THE 911 BOYYYY” 😂
Anyone just get sick hearing this guy lie so calmly about being part of the biggest national tragedy ever?
Steve Ranizisi fought in the civil war?
Elijah Wood is the funniest person in this clip. Let that sink in.
I don't like Jimmy's standup but love him just shooting the shit. He kills it.
You can tell Pete is generally a good guy, I like how he made sure to show appreciation to the coffee guy as he left
No
wow this show sucks now.
+That Fishscale yeah it could use some sound effects and an annoying female sidekick.
+That Fishscale I was just listening to this and thinking the opposite. Listening to the old show since 2001, I never realized how much I _wouldn't_ miss stupid interjections about guns, race, taxes, etc. until after July of 2014. The more of these new show clips I hear, the more I like O&J. Now if only Sirius would remake the portable receivers; since I travel a lot for work I'd need to buy one to listen every day.
Ah well, either way, keep up the great work, Opie & Jim!
+That Fishscale Yeah they should bring back patrice.
Norton is so under the radar hilarious.
When I saw this I thought. Pete is really funny, I think Pete and Opie go good together, and jimmy and Anthony go good together. Once jims contract is up I'd love to see him as a regular on anthonys show. Also, could you imagine a reunion show? all four of them together? that would be hilarious.
“Until the plane hit out building..”
“When did that happening???”
I survived 11/9, shitty November day, had a bit of a cold
I went to go pee and all of a sudden Elijah Wood is here?
I heard he was invited to go on the Titanic submarine too.
The cab story with the two brokers was a really nice touch
“That’s what pete says” lol
7 years later and pete is still talking about how his dad was in 9/11 😂.. Even made a movie about it too
Jim and Sam makes Opie and Jim seem fucking spectacular in comparison
I survived 911, also. The terrorist drove right by my town on I95 on their way to Boston, it was a close one...
that "i" line is from its always sunny
dennis lol
My best friends dad was killing on 9/11, his floor was above the point of impact but could not get below to escape. He called his wife and my buddy(his son) early in the morning (we are in Arizona 4 hour time difference) and said goodbye. To this day my buddy is absolutely bummed on 9/11 even 19 years later. I get so sick of people throwing this event around and like it was nothing. I see the pain my buddy and his sister and mom still endure because of this incident. Given all the evidence I have seen pointing towards a false flag operation, and not a terrorist attack, it is really infuriating watching these fucking clowns sit here and talk shit. Can you imagine how you would feel? It’s so easy to have an outside perspective, but putting yourself in the shoes of the victim is entirely a different story, yet it’s necessary. We should remember the victims, keep the survivors in our thoughts and prayers if that’s your thing, and find out the truth of what happened.
I totally agree with you man. I have no personal connection to it but I find it uncomfortable how we just make light of it. Perhaps it's a coping strategy on some level - humans have a habit of trying to re frame traumatic events in ways that are more palatable to them, especially when they're otherwise too major to ever truly be at peace with
Pete Davidsons dad was one on the fire fighters who died hence the joke let me call my dad oh wait..
Pretty sure Pete remembers at least one of the victims.....
I survived 911 in Australia...
1:15 Pete is dead wrong he didn’t admit it he got exposed
Is opie was not there it would still be a funny bit. Love the fact sirus is waking up to that.
Anybody else feel so uncomfortable for Pete during this? Like maybe they shouldn't have shown it with him?

I love jim he kills me and pete is funny as well, ill give his new movie a shot
Wait wasn't that Steve running the camera at 3:45 in the video!
Elijah spitting facts on cancel culture
I’m the 9/11 kid!! Back the fuck up!! Pete owned that line xD
Steve Rannazzisi has to be delusional.
I say 'something like that' to everyone. Is this the moment i realize im weird?
So they were prepared to talk about this on the show and everything but the host didn't even know who Steve R. Was? Dude just didn't look into the story at all?
James P haha cuz they’re professionals
I think I heard that it was actually his wife's 911 story and he stole it from her then asked her to lie to corroborate his story.
He does live in NY. But believe he grew up on the island. He went to st anthonys in huntington , along with the other dude from “the league”
justin stangel's hair AHAHAHHAHAH yiiiiick
Funny Daniel Day Lewis impression.
You have to put Pete Davidson and Al Franken in a room together. Al’s a 3 decade later version
His wife shouldve intervened.
Jim’s extra long straw is all I focused on
2:44 is gold
Finally I can tell which one is Opie because the other one isn't there.
I was the secret member of SEAL Team Six who flew the helicopter, found bin Laden, and I was actually the one who shot him. My top secret name had to be kept secret until now.
As a survivor of 9/11 I was enamored by Steve. He truly was a beacon of light in a world that just didn’t understand me or what I went through. Finding out he was lying absolutely ripped my heart to pieces. I went back to feeling lost & lonely for being the only 6 year old employee of Sheetz & Murks to escape the twin towers on that day :/
I was 19, watched the North Tower fall as I drove on the East-bound Staten Island Expressway.
My most vivid memory looking back is how they named SO MANY local street after the person who died that lived on that street.
There was one in Tottenville specifically where a grade-school kid lost his 30ish year old mom.
What a fucking terrible time in history.
The second the South Tower was struck, the world as I knew it ceased to exist. Everything after that moment is weird.
Everything still, to this day, seems like in some way related to the mass murder of 3000 people by George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.
Never Forget, but also, Fuhgeddaboutit.
There’s nothing more repulsive than lying about so many peoples tragedy, it’s like saying you were a holocaust surviver and you aren’t even Jewish. Sick
Such a weird video to begin with and then Frodo walks in 😂
Pete Davidson kinda sounds and looks like Willem Dafoe.
Losing a family member to ass cancer on 9/11 I find this reprehensible
Uhh… that’s not a one sentence thing. He went in with details.
FAKE details. Yeah dudes got some kind of mental personality disorder. Prob trying to bring attention to himself because it gives him a feeling of importance.
Look how skinny Pete's arms are. Can't unsee it
Didn’t Davidson lose his father in 9/11? That makes this especially slimy.
Jimmy, run. You're on a sinking ship.

I was in fourth grade and lived in The Bronx during 9/11 for years when people asked me if I was there, I would say no, I felt like I had no part in this tragedy. It wasn't until years later when younger people asked me what I remember from that day that I realized my own experiences were part of a much bigger picture involving every New Yorker who lived or visited the city that day.
