    Very nice! Great video. I’m going to do this project this winter. The only thing I’d do different is prime the board prior to painting.

    If you start by finding the center of your board and work out, evenly on both sides of that point with drawing out your grid. You will then have an even border all the way around.

      It's been one year and one very harsh winter and it still looks new!

    Absolutely STUNNING! Thank you so much for sharing this process. I've decided to make one for the end of my house also and watching your process was of great help! Also, I must comment on how clean and orderly your work area is!

      Thank you so much! I'm so happy this video was helpful. The work space is made to be used and it often messy, but it's quick to clean up.

    Did you say you used MDO? Did you prime?

    Pulling the tape off slowly is a great idea.

      It's the most nerve racking part. So happy it worked! Frog Tape is the way to go.

    Really loved this. I have recently purchased a home with a large black board and batten wall and thought a barn quilt would look great up there. So I began looking for ideas and your video is perfect, start to finish. Do you get harsh winters? I'm curious to know how it held up year round.

    What clear coat did you use?
    What did you use to hang out on house?

    • @salomeacreshomestead
      @salomeacreshomestead  Рік тому

      We used an exterior spar urethane for the clear coat, and we used deck screws to hang it on the house.

    What thickness is the board you used?

    • @salomeacreshomestead
      @salomeacreshomestead  11 місяців тому

      We used half inch.

      May I ask if it held up to the outdoor weather?

      @@MB-cj4zv It's held up very well! It's one year old now, and it still looks new.
