    Hi Veronica!
Happy New Year to you from England!
Just hopping on here to say that you are not alone in wanting to change up your business. Many small business owners probably feel much the same as you. I personally struggled to get back into quilting after doing none during Nov & Dec but I’m now back at my sewing machine, finishing up quilt blocks I started in September! What I would say is you must do what makes you happy. If there’s no joy in what you do, why do it? Well, that’s what I think anyway. If plushies aren’t making you happy, hold back from doing them. Doesn’t mean you won’t pick it up further down the line of course.
With regard to sewing, just wanted to say I think you’re doing great. Scrunchies are a great way to get into sewing as they are a relatively quick make. My advice would be, to take your time to get to know your sewing machine. It’s a marvel of engineering really but with any type of machine, they can be temperamental so just take your time with it. It’ll soon become your best friend as, like you said in your video, sewing can be great fun. Plus it’s a great stress reliever. With regard to making the scrunchies quicker, my advice is to use just a cream/off white thread to make your light coloured scrunchie tubes and a dark grey/black for your darker ones. All that thread is on the inside and no one sees it so don’t worry about finding matching colours just to make the tubes. It will be much quicker for you. Then find the matching thread colour to close up each of your scrunchies. It’s also worth investing in a bobbin case with spare bobbins for your machine. That way you can wind the new bobbins with each of your thread colours and keep them in the case for when you need them. It’ll make your life so much easier. Hope that makes sense.
Anyhoo… Best of luck with all you do. The candles sound fab and even better that you’re making your own vessels. Will make them so unique.
I look forward to watching the rest of your journey!
    Katt x

    Hi Veronika,
I love watching your videos and enjoy hearing g about the ups and downs of it. So don’t feel like you can’t talk about what is bothering you. We are here for you! ❤
I’ve heard a number of crocheters saying the same thing about burnout after the holidays.
Your scrunchies look great! Doing that many is a huge undertaking, but at least you will have a nice stock pile.
I love your new candle/containers! The smooth rounded edges look so nice. I wonder if there is a way to use refillable candle inserts in the containers. That way the outside stays useable. And people could come back to you for refills or you could sell a variety pack of scents with the container.
Anyway, I’m excited for your new line of products and your new place to sell. That is a wonderful opportunity!
    Happy bear making! ❤🧸

Hey thank you for your sweet comment and your encouragement!
The molds for the candle vessels actually come with a candle refill mold as well so that’s definitely on my agenda to make refills as well so people can keep using the jars 🤭😉

I think this is a very interesting video.
Some ideas on my side that might help (or maybe not 😂)
-kofi, patreon or some similar platform. I’m sure you’ll be surprised that people are interested in supporting you.
-try to get a sponsorship from a yarn company or any other supply company? Not sure if that’s feasible with your current subscriber level but it’s worth a shot.
-workshops to teach people how to make easy plushies? Possibly at a Volkshochschule?
-raise your prices maybe? If you work 40h on plushies you should be making at least 20€ an hour after expenses as well as sales tax/your health insurance etc. so yes, you might sell less thats why you need other streams of income, but test out the market.
    - new products that can be produced quicker sounds great.

Good luck on your small business adventure. I think many of us crafters continue to change and/or expand our interests. Don’t feel bad for doing what you want in your business. There are no rules. If you change products that’s okay!

My only comment is that you have permission to adapt! Followers will either adapt with you or they won’t, but your happiness and goals are the most important thing 😊

I enjoy your whole channel, being honest and your business goals, I will watch no matter what the context is. I have same feelings too. I started an Etsy shop and it’s not going well at all, but I’m not giving up. I do have a full time job so my goal is for just some side income. I also do markets and I want to be more prepared for this upcoming season. Like I said love your channel and can’t wait for the next one.
