Love this edit - fits him well - though I feel the more episodes you watch the more you’ll want to edit because it’s so so good. Honestly I don’t know how they’re doing it with the romance between them like it ain’t even subtle anymore.
Thanks for the heads up, btw, I do this weird trick - like how they do it in movie trailers; get the voice overs from a scene and then make a mini edit collection of different scenes that fit the dialogue exactly - it’s harder to do ofc, but it helps so much. I did it with previously airing “bromance” c-drama and it worked well enough.

I love this character so much because while he's highly intelligent and cunning as a villain, he's also a deeply tormented soul and racked with so much pain inside of him. The only person who has ever brought him immense happiness is Zhou Zishu, his soulmate and lover.

Super happy that Gong Jun was casted as WKX. He did the role justice. No one can ever be WKX, only Gong Jun. Also thankful that his acting is superb.
When ke xing hides his emotions and pain behind his smile... I just cry everytime.... hopefully zhou zi shu understands him when he finds out that he is the ghost leader... btw someone did spoil me that the novel has a happy ending. So ... hopefully the series has it too.

Many novel fans have also acknowledged how similar and well reenacted the drama is with the novel. There is even a joke in the Chinese fandom that says that though both Guardian and SHL have the same mother(aka. Author, Priest) they have 2 completely different stepmothers(aka. scriptwriters) hence their different fates.😂
I totally agree, everytime I stsr watching cdrama , I get a lot of anxiety,cos I know that the chances that they will ruin it is very high , ,yeah!, I know---very unhealthy.I never recover from Guardian even now , I detasted myself for even investing my time on it,it is still traumatic to me till date,they destroyed Guardian in the end , such an awesome story.

well I don't remember Wen Kexing being this savage and "crazy" in the book but maybe it's because we don't get to see that sinister gaze while reading xd
That's probably because he's mostly like that when it pertains to Ghost Valley. And he spends most of the novel pursuing his Ah Xu. Most of his savagery is told in flashbacks that don't have much of a presence. You have to remember that he not only skinned his predecessor alive over the span of three days but was either directly or indirectly responsible for the deaths of those who tortured and killed his parents. He also killed Zhao Jing and Mo Huai Tang with his bare hands. His savagery and cruelty earned him the nickname Madman Wen in Ghost Valley.

A great edit to a killer song- nice work! I would have to say my favorite moment was Wen's snarl and elegant throw to the ground at 1:04. It's so violent and stunning at the same time. The filmmakers wisely give us less time to see Wen fight except for these rare moments that show how deadly he actually can be. At least to episode 12, much of his violence is offscreen and implied, whereas we always see A'Xu fight.
Came here to watch this after such a long time. Still one of my most favourite Wen Kexing edits!
