This family has lots of money, and Chloe deserves this necklace. If they can afford it, why shouldn't she have it? We all know Chloe would look after it. Chloe is a smart, independent and gracious little girl. All you could hear was thank you coming from both Chloe and Christi. Abby always said she didn't agree with how Christi and Mark were raising her, yet all I see is a polite, bubbly young girl. Whats wrong with that?
They ended up not getting it because Chloe was only 10. But she would have deserved it because she is stunning inside and out.

I don't see what's wrong with splurging on kids especially if it's on their birthday, and besides Chloe isn't a spoiled brat or is someone who would belittle someone over money so there's literally no harm in getting her something nice for her birthday.
Christi too, she was always open about being very poor when she was younger so all the money she's spending on her daughter is her and her husband's hard earned money that came from hard work and determination.

I think she was confused 'cause it was her birthday. I never knew what to say either. I'd say it was my birthday and they'd ask how old I was and I'd say "I'm 9 but I'm going to be 10" and my mom would have to explain I didn't count myself a year older until 5:52 PM, the exact time I was born.
For the time and hard work that little girl has done...and the verbal abuse she has suffered....she has remained poised and gracious without showing any bratty behavior...or signs of being precocious. A 10 year old that's this genuine and say's Thank you more than 3 times, is a good kid in my book.
P.S. I wish my parents could afford to buy me a 2k dollar necklace when I was 10...and there are PLENTY of spoiled brats out there...and in most cases you shouldn't be buying your 10 year old daughter diamonds...but this girl earned it.
